A look ahead to 2022 |

For our final video of 2021, we take a look at three of the exciting projects at Wentworth Woodhouse that are due to start in the early part of 2022. These include the first major regeneration project on our magnificent stables complex, a part of Wentworth Woodhouse that has suffered from decades of neglect and decay.
We will announce information about further projects as we progress through the New Year, but already, 2022 looks to be full of interesting activities.

I have loved this house for many many years. Something I am intensely interested in is the restoration of these houses and the skills needed to do it. I want to suggest that if houses like these can do training / apprenticeships in these skills it would be a great opportunity to retain skills, get extra help and depending on how it is structured, money.
I wish all the best to the supporters of this house and hope I will be able to visit soon!

As a Yank, I was surprised to hear an American accent also. I was also surprised to hear the negative comments!! In the USA we are more accustomed to hearing British accents rather than versa vs. I guess. Newscasters, program hosts, documentaries, interviews ,etc. are conducted by those with some form of the Queen's accent & heard quite often on our different forms of communications. Maybe Yanks are not quite so full of themselves as to believe other folks cannot or should not enjoy cultural history.

Love the video updates and progress of the restoration. However, have to agree, not loving the American accent, proud to be from Yorkshire, it doesn't have to be a strong local accent, but sounds wrong, I always thought the Americans love an English accent!

All of our videos are made by members of the Wentworth Woodhouse volunteer Digital Team. Lisa is one of our team members. She's done some excellent voiceover work for us on other films, so we asked her to do this one too. We're quite lucky to have an American on our team as around a third of our viewers are from the USA.
