      Best thing is while pitching your startup idea infront of investors/Angel to be your self! To be clear to be on points your pros/cons Matters while pitching your deck should be perfectly point to point created that can make understand the investor you're pitchin!

      Hi Suyash, the best way to raise funds depends on where you are. If you're not in a metro city, then you may have a hard time. But you can always reach out to VCs directly through social media or email. Your success rate may be quite low though, even if you have an amazing idea (will explain why in a moment). The best option would be to start building a network of entrepreneurs, ideally offline through startup events. Some of them will surely know some VCs and could put you in touch if they feel your idea is worthwhile. In the world of startups, a large portion of your success depends on who you know, who you surround yourself with, and who _you_ are. When it comes to VCs, they are investing less in your idea, and more in who you are, in who the team of your startup is. They are investing in your confidence in yourself and your belief in your own idea. And in order to see that, they need to meet you in-person, and in order to meet in-person, you need connections and recommendations. -Caleb

FMCG/Ayurvedic/Nutrition etc), I see almost all mentioned AIs only funding tech start Ups. 2. If we were to contact some of these AIs for Non-tech start up pitch can you help with i) Some template of pitch deck & background word ii) Share few contacts (in video) where we could connect with such AIs.
    Big thanks for helping with such work!

      Hi Abhay, in order to get funded, you'll need to reach out to angel investors and VC firms and show them what you've accomplished so far - if they like what they see, they'll fund you. Before doing this though, I would recommend that you attend some pitch events or pitch your idea to fellow entrepreneurs via online entrepreneurship groups. Remember, you only need 1 investor. Just because 100 investors have said no doesn't mean that you have a bad idea. -Caleb

      Hi Kishalay, Caleb here - I'm not a startup mentor, no. Do you happen to live in Bangalore? If so, or even if you live in any of the other cities which have startup culture, you can probably find some local groups on Facebook where mentors as well as entrepreneurs would be happy to give you feedback on the viability of your fintech idea. Once the lockdown is over and it is safe to go to events, I would also recommend attending some free, local entrepreneurship events where you may be able to get connected with entrepreneurs, VCs, etc.

      Hi Abhishek, Varun here. I guess there aren't many deeptech startups in this list but that is only because these investors have made hundreds of investments and we have only included some of their recent ones. But compared to more prominent sectors like eccommerce and fintech, deeptech startups certainly receive less attraction in terms of funding. However, there are a lot of emerging deeptech startups in India and I am sure you might start hearing about them sooner rather than later.

      All that we will say is that expenses vary quite a bit from month to month. Some months involve a lot of travel, e.g. trips to Delhi, or long cab rides to film interviews at the edge of town, while other months involve no travel whatsoever, like this last month, due to the lockdown. Some months we buy new equipment, e.g. new external hard drives to store footage, or the lighting setup that has enabled us to create the videos that we have been creating lately. All of that said, we are definitely doing this on a shoestring budget. We're hoping that at some point in the near future BwM sees a boom in popularity so that we can continue to do this indefinitely!

      @@abhishekdev258 Thanks a lot Abhishek, that means a lot! The #1 thing that we need now, more than views, is to get more people to see these videos. We have been sharing them in a couple of different places besides our own social media pages, but the biggest source of new subscribers has been our audience sharing the videos on their own Facebook/WhatsApp/LinkedIn, or on other platforms like Quora and Reddit. The analytics tell us that for this video in particular, there was a sudden spike when someone (we don't know who) shared the video on WhatsApp, and it got forwarded a few times. If that hadn't happened, the video likely would still be at 200-300 views.

    • @backstagewithmillionaires
      @backstagewithmillionaires  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, one could certainly argue that machines are more than capable of outsmarting humans. Today, they can only do this in specific tasks, e.g. beating humans at Go. However, in the future, when humans create artificial consciousness and combine that with these abilities, machines will be capable of infinitely more than humans.

      @@backstagewithmillionaires I meant the decisions at administration level. Like whether or not I should hire someone, machine can look at their past and say that hiring someone is bad because of their criminal history but many companies do hire people who were incarcerated based on their performance at the interview.
      It is bone chilling to know that Google has given administration level access to their AI.

    • @backstagewithmillionaires
      @backstagewithmillionaires  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be completely honest (and this is still Caleb here, by the way - thought I should clarify that before giving my somewhat controversial opinion), companies already turn their employees into robots. There are SOPs, guidelines, instructions, procedures, etc. so that the employee is less likely to make a mistake. This also decreases room for creativity, but I think a lot of large companies see this as a price worth paying for a consistent, predictable level of quality. Creativity is often seen as a liability. And this predictability and consistency will significantly increase when you replace a human with AI. Is this a good thing, or a bad thing? I'm not sure. It'll definitely save companies money, which they could use to innovate. Or executives might just end up pocketing it, who knows.
