- Fishing after a storm from the rocks is the best time to land a big Snapper from the Shore, but no guarantees!
After witnessing a channel marker being rescued, plus a captsized ocean canoe in very stormy conditions. The day was about to end before numerous bites to my herring on a snelled rig made it easier for me to stay!.

Mate, although the weather was not great you still went out and gave it a go! What a true fisherman, and by the way I almost have the same reel as you, I have the PENN 650 Ssm reel, and it has yellow 80 lb Jarvis walker line on it, I caught my biggest fish on it which was a Wobbegong shark 78 cm and around 5 or 6 kilos. Love the vids, see ya

Mate all you gotta do is keep trying, I’ve dropped plenty at the rocks, more than I’ve landed. To combat the missed bites issue cut your herring in half or in to cutlets and use a single hook. The snapper won’t mind as they are a scavenger type feeder. Awesome video mate tight lines

Dom love your videos just a suggestion when fishing these conditions try cuttlefish body that has been cleaned, local bait and will with stand pickers. Just a strip as long as your middle finger, thanks for your time and as usual stay smiling.

Unlucky mate but who knows if you haven't got a bait in the water. Soft baits are useless at north/south mole two many blowies you got the right idea of a good bait👍🏻 sand whiting on a snell can't beat it. Cheers brother Dom👍🏻🎣🎣🎣🎣

Indomitable Dom took to the break wall, undaunted by the howling gale, & cast out into the very wild blue yonder. An Octopus teased him into thinking it was caught. It was but freed itself just at the edge. Bugger! But there is fish in the sea & Dom was going to get one. After losing some excellent baits to some very lucky fish he called it a day & retreated. A good video showing some unusual rescues & a small shark catch. The sound was not greatly affected by the windblast, however, Dom was not lucky. Looking forward to another DOM Fishing Adventure.

Newbie fisher here, would that shark have been a keeper? Seems complicated what you can and cannot keep but I suppose you play it safe and chuck back what you are not sure of? Comments?
It may have been size for the species of Shark, but I diddnt land so not sure. If in dought thru ut back in, however its our responsiblity to be informed on species sizee limits and bag limits via the rules and regulations from the fisheries website.
I miss this place and used to be here to have some fun as fishing trip. I think a little bronze whaler has been caught ..haha
