R2 accessory are real movie props for Kenny Baker legs to goes in.
They have way more articulation than their movie counterparts XD
Nice review! I was actually playibg with my Figuarts R2-D2 and C-3PO while I was watching this! Lol! The accessories for R2 are the Kenny Baker leg covers. It's to simulate Kenny Baker being inside the R2-D2 costume. Also, the lights are his indicators, the blue panels are his Spacecraft Linkage and Control arms which basically controls a spacecraft or activates access to one, the arm on R2's left is the Fine Manipulator Arm which is used to play holochess or to manipulate things in a fine manner, and the arm on R2's right is his Computer Interface Arm which accesses computer terminals to gain access to files or secured areas. Or to simply lock the blast doors to keep Stormtroopers out.
Love to watch your reviews, they are really enjoyable, and you do a great job with them

Great review! Have these and LOVE them! I am curious about where you say @3:32 you aren't sure if he's your favorite R2 ever but he's very good - which R2 is your favorite then? The Mafex is the only R2 that looks like he could even come close to Figuarts and planning on ordering the Mafex set next payday. :-) But imo Figuarts R2 is as close to perfect as any R2 figure available in any scale less than 12" 1/6 scale. The only thing I think Figuarts could have added would be a pop up Periscope or Sensorscope (and had to be pop up, not the lame snap on add on like Black Series!). Since they market these as A New Hope versions, I'm guessing they may be saving this very feature for an Empire variant? What do you think? Also, curious about the Mafex R2 which I think you have too - can you put Mafex R2s head on Bandai R2s body? Can you use the Bar2D2 accessories on Figuarts R2? Can you post a quick follow vid showing these droids compared to Mafex and trying the new ad swap and accessory swaps? Cant wait to get mine too try it, but you know how crazed cool toys can make one act! Lol, great review, thanks dude!
I wish R2 could hold a lightsaber like ROTJ but it's just a button instead. Cant wai't for my c3po and R2 are ordered.
