I would have left the pipe on the turbo loose till you were happy with its position and then tightened everything up, as you said it would have been where you pushed it onto the turbo too far why it didn't fit correctly. Removing the scuttle panel gives you more access so its easier. It's all a learning curve
I'm defantly going to go back to it. Not completely happy with the finish. So needs addressing... The pipe also needs a modification, the bolt hole on the bracket is too low, needs to be about a 1cm higher. This would stop it being too close to the strut brace. Defo a leaning cuve and also some faults with the product. I think that could be improved by Ramair
Lordee the butcher haha. Another informative vid dude, I had a air tec on mine which I liked although was leaning towards a rs crossover before I sold the car.
Before I watch the video, I got the exact same one and had to butcher some of that bracket off to make it sit lower in the engine bay because it was rattling off the strut brace.
Yeah... I might have to drill a hole about a 1cm above the current hole to lower it. It's not too bad, but you can sometimes hear it... feedback going to Ramair 👍
I love the look and how it is. Doesnt mess the look up of the engine bay. Yes the V2, c3 or RS, the air flow might be better, less to bend round, but I think it looks good, just need some amendments.
Hey mate loving the content I have pre face lift st took it to garslage by me and they fitted the exact same hard pipe as yours only thing is mate I get a really high pitched whistle on cold start that last about 30 secs everytime .and wen I drive the whistle is pretty loud it's only since changed crossover pipe just wondering if had any ideas y cuz can't hear any whistle wen your driving your st ? Cheers mate any help would b much appreciated
Hi.. great to hear from you... it could be a loose fitting maybe from one of the silicone hoses. As much as a pain it would be, it might be worth taking it off or trying to get to the bottom of the turbo to make sure it's on enough and tightened and then continue up till you finish at the air filter. I can only assume its leaking air.... Unless it's a different issue. Can you tell where the noise is coming from? You can take it for a smoke test, which might help solve this. It could be the oil housing cause the noise. Does it stop if you take out the disp stick?
@@lordeest thanks for your reply yea could b that just thought maybe cuz they fitted the face lift model crossover pipe to my pre face lift st that could b the issue ?and yea took dip stick out and no difrent bud I was thinking of getting a smoke test bt I live in bristol and kno where here seems to do it any idea where would b good place might just take it to bd in a couple of weeks time just wanted your opinion on things thanks for all your help
When fitting the crossover pipe did the fixing bracket on the pipe catch on the bracket attatched to the car? I have this crpssover and its hindered by the bracket.

It's a bit of a pain... as you can see, I didn't think the turbo to crossover hose was long enough so cut down the pro hose one, and then put some double sided tape just on the top as it knocks on the strut brace. But found it did fit just a bit of wiggling. You need to angle it right on the hose to get it sitting correctly to then put the bolt on on the bracket
But got sent shot turbo 2 crossover silicone hose.so no joy on the correct size so I don't have to cut up a pro hose? Any new news on this my man would be sweet.good vids.
The short turbo to crossover hose comes with the Ramair hard pipe becuase this hard pipe is longer at that end and therefore only needs a shorter hose. But I was inpatient and rather than loosening everything and making adjustments, I continued with the shortening of the pro hose. Lots of people have installed using the shorter hose, but me personally I think it could be a little longer to save the hassle..... continue via Facebook or messenger dude....
Hey.. I have a miltek down pipe, mongoose sports cat and a mongoose resonated cat back with 4 or 4.5 inch tips.... more than happy with the sound. I was thinking about changing its but decided against it for now. Would like more growl but not the loudness...

Why the oem crossover have 2 vac pipes and ramair has 1?
Defo hear more air getting sucked in through the induction pipe to cross over was a nightmare
