- Morocco will not be taking part in a scheduled BRICS - Africa Outreach meeting at any level whatsoever. In a strongly worded statement from the country's foreign ministry, the kingdom says it felt South Africa's approach was done without due consultation and that this was not a BRICS or African Union initiative, but an invitation from South Africa, in its national capacity.
