I'm sick of seeing most youtubers cruising around Australia with their 100k to 250k builds and promoting the top end of the market. I bought thousands of dollars of Kings products which helped me to have more than I needed for half the price and the products do work. Defiantly will be watching Mitch and journey around Australia.

There's plenty of youtubers doing it on the cheap without promoting expensive gear aswell. It's not that hard to find them.

@@Hazardbone I know there is, I rather watch them, than someone telling me, they just upgraded their rig and caravan every year to keep up with the Jones's

You've done well on the set-up. And I agree with you about 4WD Supacentre. I would not have been able to get a rear drawer if it wasn't for them. The others just want too much for them. Though I initially got the Titan drawers as my temporary drawers to use for now, but 5 years later, they're still going strong, and I can't see why I should change. Good luck with the trip.

The 120’s looking good Mitch. Have an awesome trip. Totally right about 4WDSC getting people out there camping and for inspiring those of us on a limited budget. Safe travels.

Great work in transforming a grandpa spec Prado into a touring ready rig. I have a few Kings products and so far each have held up well. Making them extremely great value for money.

What a great set up, well done, and great choice of tyre, I run the same on my BT50, good luck with the trip and safe travelling.

We are onto our 2nd prado 120 and absolutely love them. The 1st a white 04 GXL 5sp 4ltre manual and current a black 07 GXL 5sp 4ltr Auto with a Harrop rear diff locker, custom exhaust, Red Arc dual battery system, Red Arc DCDC charger, Red Arc tow system, upgraded suspension, LED binnacle headlights, LED Rear taillights (complete headligjhts & tailights swapped out) Clarion Headunit, Rear slide draws, dropdown rear door table, Kings awning, LED spotlights and the list goes on as you have done to build these 120's into a great touring car with factory 2 x 90ltr fuel tanks.
Just bought a heap of Kings gear for our 2000 Coromal Seka 18ft poptop dual axle caravan to upgrade it to a solar, lithium battery offgrid system with 2 x 200amp Kings lithium batteries.
I have never had any of Kings gear fail on me and very comfortable knowing they have a great backup & customer support system Australia wide without having to break the bank balance versus some other competitors with insane pricing for the same setup (reminds me of when LCD/LED TV's first came on the market with TV's costing up to $15k back then)
Looking forward Mitch to following your big lap. We are based in Perth but i lived and worked in Broome for 4yrs and did the whole top end (the Kimberley's is stunning as you know)

Love em or hate em, Kings have done well by getting your average family out and camping by providing camping equipment for reasonable price. Not everyone's cup of tea but they do the job..

I have to agree, we have outfitted our prao with so much from Kings, now we have the caravan, which already has a dc dc charger a decent battery management system and is lithium already, to now go completely offgrid with Kings, 2 x 200ah batteries, 2 x solar panels and a big inverter is going to be under $3000.00, compared to $16000+ elsewhere. Kings has ceraunly made 4wding affordable for us...

Well done mate 👍 you've kitted your car out bloody well for that budget 👌 everything you need. As you know I am a huge believer in starting out with budget gear. I only paid 4k for my old hilux and fully decked it out with 4wdsupacentre gear & it got me everywhere I wanted to go without blowing a heap of money straight up. I'd rather have money to go exploring than blowing it all on expensive gear I really didn't need. But unfortunately a lot of youtubers will make you believe you need the best of everything before you can get out exploring. Looking forward to seeing where your adventure's continue to take you 👍

Great video, workking on the same setup. One issue I have is that the Prado Roof load limit is about 100kg, just the 270 awning and the rooftop tent both about 50kg puts you over this without the roofrack and other gadgets. You not worried about that?

Very much a decked out rig, Looks like you have thrown almost the whole catalogue at it. My concerns would be the vehicles over all weight with people and everything you are taking compared to the GVM, has it had a GVM upgrade? Also what about that roof load & load rating? I know others mentioned this in your video discussing the RTT etc and it seems your limit is 100kg On Road and lower off road so surely that would be over weight. Honestly as decked out as this rig is it seems to me as though it would be grossly over weight.

      Hi there,
While we haven't had them on show, in the budget we had some cast iron cooking gear and a fire grill in the budget that'll cover 99% of the cooking needs, sadly Uber's going to need to wait until the trip ends.
      Regards, Andrew
