i have not seen any videos about sv48p 102mm yet even though i have had it since first order quite a while ago. i heard many people have problem with not being able to focus but i think it is normal.
@@flydesigner6742 yes i have heard this problem, also with my 90mm the stars were triangular when i first got it but then i adjusted the focuser tilt a bit and loosened the lens cell ring because it was very tight and now its much better, however in the end its an achromat so stars wont be perfect
@@universewonders1 Do you have any specific instructions for what you are talking about, I might need it at some point. I just tweaked the focus on the 102mm a bit to make it smoother, it was so smooth that I just stood the telescope up and it just floated out
@@flydesigner6742 focuser tilt is how straight is the focuser tube (adjusted by 6 screws around the focusr housing) and the lens cell is accessed by removing the dew shield which has a retaining ring at the bottom that screws out then remove the black lens cell after
With the filter in the images are amazingly sharp the image looks like taken with an ed refractor. The first achro which preserves star colours Aperture mask worked perfectly:- minimised star spikes, reduced field curvature and abberation too Btw did you take both the images with sv 231 ? Amazing work 👏. Looking forward for more pics using this telescope from your side
Thankyou, yes a friend of mine warned me of the weird spikes without the mask in front so i cut one out to size. Andromeda image is with sv231 and sharpcap CA remover aswell, second photo is with sv220 narrowband, without CA remover of sharpcap tbh chromatic aberration wasnt bad either and easily processed out
@@HyperX07 sharpcap removed all the CA so i didnt take an image without the filter, sv231 and CA removal on sharpcap side removed all of the aberration, it replaced it with slight redness around the stars which then i removed by lowering the red with a star mask in processing. But next time i will take a comparision shot and include it in a video
Thought about buying one of these, but bought an SvBony 80mm ED instead.
Thats an even better one, congrats on the purchase 😊
I think it is a good telescope for deep sky
Where did you bought it? I wanna buy one on the Indio Chinese marketplace
@@privyao0 on the svbony website
You can’t buy the parts for what the scope cost! I have both the 90mm and the 102mm.
@@fastbow9 what do you mean

Wow ! I think there is not much ca in the pic. Can you share the image before using abberation. Btw I liked the natural star colours 👍

@@universewonders1noice 👌 👍
Can you give measurements of the aperture mask?
85mm inner diameter and 102mm outer diameter
@@universewonders1 Thanks!
