The only time in Classic Who was "The Five Doctor's" when The Daleks and The Cybermen were in the same episode but never actually crossed paths but this episode marks the first time in the show's history that the Daleks and the Cybermen actually meet on-screen.
I remember the hype around this episode at the time was immense. What a cliffhanger! Great reaction as always, hope you both had a brilliant Christmas 😊

I appreciate all the Torchwood BGM going on in this episode. I assume Torchwood and UNIT don't have good relations, considering UNIT spent years harbouring Torchwood's main enemy. I believe they wanted to do Daleks vs Cybermen way back in Troughton, but Terry Nation wouldn't let them. Glad they finally got the chance.
This is a great series finale! Re the Olympic flame - they use a special closed lantern that can safely go on planes to transport it over water and long distances.
Terry Nation passed away in 1997, they can't use the Daleks without permission from the Terry Nation estate which is why they been in every season because as you said Alex maintain the rights to them.
That was debunked by Steven Moffat years ago. They weren’t in Season 7, 13-16, 20 (if you don’t count The Five Doctors), 23, 24 and 26 of Classic Who. Also Series 6 and Series 10 (minus cameos), Series 11 and Series 12 (if you don’t count Resolution and Revolution) of Nu Who and Season 1 (2024).
The woman who says “Listen to me, Den Watts. I don't care if you have come back from the grave. Get out of my pub! The only spirits I'm serving in this place are gin, whisky and vodka. Who is best known for playing Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders from 1994 to 2016 and acted in the Carry On films during the 60s and 70s. She sadly passed away in 2020 from dementia. Also, there’s two other EastEnders connections in this episode. Tracy-Ann Oberman (Yvonne Hartman) played Chrissie, one of “Dirty Den” Watt’s wives and Raji James (Dr Rajesh Singh) played Ash Ferreira + DS Vik Singh in The Bill.
So what was the 2018 Dalek appearance? Because Resolution aired in 2019. And if you think it counts as 2018 for whatever reason, what was the dalek appearance in 2019? Or 2020 for that matter! Not to mention this year! Moffat has shut down that rumour before, and in The Writer's Tale, we see an email from Russel to Moffat where asks if he plans to use the Daleks in series 5. If this were a thing, he'd have no reason to ask that!

I mean even tho I noticed you saying Doomsday in the last video and thought about commenting, that would have been useless since it would've been cleared next time either way.
Sadly there are some people who would love to see the rise of another British Empire or at least think we still wield the power of the last one, it's part of the rise of the far right here and their obsession that we are being 'invaded' by refugees and it's leading to a rise of populism similar to the Maga cultists you have in America. Luckily the far right hold the seeds of their own destruction as some far right are saying we should become the 51st state of America which will infuriate the British Empire enthusiasts and Brexiteers who would see that as traitorous and surrendering the 'independence' we apparently got leaving the EU.

Happy Belated Birthday, Richard! 🥳 A story with both the Cybermen and the Daleks, just what you always wanted 😂.

I remember watching this on broadcast this cliffhanger was huge on the cover of the radio times
Mashing up the Daleks vs Cybermen showdown with the World Cup final was a genuine bit of marketing imagery
"You're always doing this, reducing it to science. Why can't it be real?"
Head... hurts...

Can confirm I was disappointed when Tennant wasn’t invited to carry the torch in his Doctor Who costume.
Well here we are the beginning of the end for this season. And what a cliffhanger the reveal is mind blowing
This is wholesome
I always took the British Empire part as them wanting to colonise across space
Happy hogmanay & new year guys, have a fun one all

@@joshuajoshua2732 Considering Daleks didn’t appear in the seasons mentioned, it’s obviously false.
Gerry Anderson created a TV series called U.F.O which had a military group called
S.H.A.D.O.

Terry nation family sued the BBC for the daleks but as u said, bbx has to use them once a series to keep them
That's just not true. It's such an infuriating fan rumour!
@BulbasaurRepresent it's not a rumour I heard it from the terry nation company, they had a interview with someone and that's wat they said
