It's all been done now..we've become indifferent ; we've reached saturation point. There's nothing original.. I went to the cinema, I'm 53 it's just not the same...the excitement and anticipation are all gone..far happier watching a film now on Amazon or Netflix..Younger people feel the same as well.

I remember waay back in 1975 my brothers and sisters took me to see Jaws and another movie at the Drive-In. The ticket price was .75 or something. And in 1980 the ticket price for The Empire Strikes Back was $1.25 at USCs University Village movie Theater and Arcade.
No wonder nobody goes to the movies anymore.

Impending Doom with pretty pictures is a fairly safe theme for movies these days. Hope it`s not. Deadpool is the closest thing we get for a comedy which few dare to make these days in fear of offending anyone followed by the wrath of the alphabet sheeple. Horror like Longlegs or Smile avoiding the tropes is a breath of fresh air in a stale industry. The wait is for the brave directors with balls and a vision.
Modern movies are for children, not adults. Hollywood sucks now.

The whole Quiet Place concept of aliens riding through interstellar space (slowly on a drifting meteorite - so tens to hundreds of thousands of years at least) and surviving re-entry alive is so ridiculous. But - suspension of disbelief I guess.
I agree. We have all these movies about aliens killing humans when in fact aliens would colonize the world the same way as the British colonized India. They would work with human governments to recruit workers for their purpose. I think a movie predicated on this scenario could be more entertaining than the alien shoot-n-up movies.

Not to mention they wouldn’t have figured out a way to translate visual signals to auditory signals or whatever. I mean we know all about ultraviolet and infrared color spectrum or sounds beyond the range of human perception. This is Independence Day all over again - humans writing malware for alien ships, fgs.
I would think that movies are getting better ad technology and attitudes toward media improve. The first movie and Omnia, both look very interesting.

Over the past 10 years now all movie trailers have this stupid, loud thumping Bass sound on each scene switch.
This sound is never in the movies. And the movie is never successful in Theaters.
I hate the way sound is used in movies anymore. The screaming woman in the background of Dune ruined it for me.
