The exact same steering wheel i have in the soarer bro, it definitely won't burn your hands but the black "suede" does start to deteriorate and come off after not too long haha. it definitely feels way better then a stock wheel though!
@@RexH barra swaps are good in theory, if you have the time and money. More powerful, yes, but they aren't as strong. And you have to modify the bonnet a bit. Saw a mates a few weeks back after some quarter mile runs. He said something about it so I lifted the bonnet. Where pistons 5 and 6 should have been, I saw the ground, as in block detonation. But he did go big - why do a barra swap and leave it stock? why not put an xr6t in. but if you're going to go turbo, why leave that stock? put in a bigger turbo and give it good boost.... if you ask me, turbo the AU engine, compare time and money.... and look at the fun you have with the stock AU with a dodgy fuel pump. no point going too extreme if it's going to be off the road a lot for repairs... just like every holden ;)

At some point I am going to get my bumpers painted because I have bought brand new bumpers for both rear and front from Repco... Is it still cutting out when cornering fast? Change the fuel pump. I found out the hard way, what was causing the cut out... 750km into a 1500km trip and it died..and those bonnet and boot struts are about $30 for a pair on ebay and they last for years, had my ebay specials for at least 5 years and the bonnet still hasn't hit me on the head since.
