He is "(Celtic: “Horned One”) in Celtic religion, an archaic and powerful deity, widely worshipped as the “lord of wild things.” Cernunnos may have had a variety of names in different parts of the Celtic world, but his attributes were generally consistent."

I'm a religious person. I don't belong to any church or group. I don't believe in all these numerous denominations in Christianity. I'm very spiritual, and believe what you put out into the universe is what you'll receive in return. So do good and be kind always. I don't push my beliefs on anyone, and I'll not stand in judgement of others for theirs. We're all human beings, and we all share a divine spirit that resides in us all. After achieving my 3rd Degree in an Eclectic Coven I have spent the last 22 yrs researching all things about my Native Tribal Culture. All my rituals are in my Tribal tongue , I have adapted folklore , legends , and mythologies to fit the Wheel of the Year , I dress in ceremonial Stomp Dance attire during ritual. I use a drum as my Altar , my wand is an arrow , I made my chalice and cauldron out pottery with clays found only on Tribal lands. I still consider myself to be a Witch just a Chickasaw Witch. But this is all the results of 2 decades of research. So not a passing fad

But European based Witchcraft and my Tribe are both Northern Hemisphere so mpt really that big of a difference especially when you stop to consider my Tribal ancestors hunted deer and not bison. Practically everyone in my family has practiced Wicca my sister is very spiritual. My mother was awesome because she loved to practice Wicca I’ve felt strong connection to spirits but I had never asked her or even learned how or what to do so I thank you because my mother died and I saw this video and I feel like it’s a part of her speaking to me showing me that I can carry out my destiny. So I've been doing a lot of soul searching and meditation to come to my own ideas of spirituality. I grew up the daughter of a Baptist preacher, I never fit, always was the different one who just couldn't swallow their teachings, I tried to for years and it was bad. Fast forward, I made friends with a Santaria priestess and she guided me in finding my path. Fast forward more years, drifted away, tried to fit in with the Christians, to be socially acceptable, to now, I am back with the Goddess and working on being the Wiccan Witch I am meant to be. I grew up in a Native Christian Matriarchticle back to the woods NATURE
environment I never really ate store-bought
meat till I was about 4 or 5
I grew up on Well water artesian and we had our own sewage system a bit
smelly sometimes
gardens big !! and I was raised in a log house
I had the feeling of God with me always or Mother but I never defined it till
I had to go out in the world
Witches and feminists were always around me and hardcore Christian believers
My fave Church was outside Dad built one we saved the wild Salmon when I was in my Teens

That's a great statement!!!! I'm a Wiccan High Priestess, coven trained, 20 of years. 10 years as a teacher of my own coven and I would strongly strongly agree with everything you said. The only thing I'm curious about is not considering buddhism under the umbrella term of paganism? Usually the isms are a give away....or looking at it as monotheistic beliefs (1 god) vs polytheistic (more than 1 god) beliefs. ...I'm just curious to hear why, maybe you can open my eyes to something I have yet to see within that acknowledgement.
He said Buddhism was under Christianity not paganism!
Specifically, he said Buddhism is Abrahamic, which is a much larger umbrella term than Christianity in modern times. But Buddhism is actually neither Pagan nor Abrahamic. It is a life philosophy of finding balance and sloughing off all that does not assist you in achieving that end. Buddhists themselves will tell you that Buddha is not even a deity, simply a wise teacher whose teachings are eternally relevant. Many call it a religion, but it is more like how he describes witchcraft; a lived practice and a skill, though perhaps a bit more encompassing☯️.
Also Hinduism pre-dates Abraham, therefore doesn't fall under that umbrella either. It's actually much more like paganism itself, though with some semantic differences.
My words were misunderstood, and now that I backtrack I see where I made a mistake. When I said Abrhamic faiths I made it sound like I was naming Hinduism and Buddhism as Abrhamic too, that was not my intent as Christianity, Judaism and Islam are the Abrhamic faiths specifically. What I meant by including Buddhism and Hinduism was that they are part of the 5 major faiths in the world, but Buddhism and Hinduism are not Abrhamic at all. In recent schools of thought Hinduism has been excluded from Pagan ideaologies, and Buddhism is not Pagan nor Abrahamic.

Charleen..... Some say that Buddhism is not a pagan religion, for that matter a religion at all because Buddha is not worshipped but a practice almost like Witchcraft.

Thank you for helping me understand myself. I do not consider myself to be Pagan. My group consists of mostly Pagans and trying to explain myself and my mostly solitary ways is not easy. I practice Draconic Wicca and I consider myself to be spiritual. After hearing your explanation, I definitely consider myself more towards Wicca then anything. I enjoyed listening to your video!

I have struggled for years with my religion and I never felt like I "fit in" with what was expected of me as a catholic but let me tell you when you explained what wicca was I broke down crying. Sooo many things finally added up!! Things I thought I was crazy for feeling/thinking as a kid made sense. I love how you explain the three of the religions, however I do have a relationship with Father God and Mother (Gaia) And in my belief god just wants us to love another as he loves us and take care of the world. This was so lovely. I don’t identify with any group/religion. I was born this way but adopted at 7 months into a Catholic family so rather than support or guidance I received shame & threats of institution & told it was evil to talk to spirits or have sight. At school called witchy poo & bullied yet when the children needed advice for some reason they came to me. I am much more comfortable alone in the woods away from people. I prefer solitude & animals & nature to humans.
So I have not had religion but what you said Wiccans believe is what I believe - though there is much more to what we are than we know. It was really lovely listening to you. I am glad you are doing this & send you success & peace🙏

When you relate to Pagans, Witchcraft and Wicca, in a way to each of these a small bit that you can't figure out what to tell people what you are and what your beliefs are. Soo I just tell people that I'm an "eclectic witch. "

I once read a very interesting article arguing for the Norse "varđlokkur" etymology over the Anglo-Saxon "wærloga." It was very convincing, and let's face it... when I think of a warlock, my mind would go to "caller of spirits" before it would go to "traitor." 🤷♂️
