  • Hello friends! If you've been watching my channel you know that one of the main topics on here is mental health, specifically, dissociative identity disorder, autism, and OCD. This video is to help people with these disorders and others share their experience with their family, friends, and other people in their lives. While this is in the context of DID, these tips are for anyone who wants to tell others about the more private matters of their life. Don't forget to pay attention to the types of reactions that are more and less positive to get a sense of what to do if someone brings this kind of information about themselves to your attention! As always, remember I am not a professional and all of this advice is purely based on my own experience and ideas I have heard; it may not work well in every scenario. If you have more personalized questions I'd be happy to hear them in my instagram DMs or you can comment down below!

I agree - safety first. I cannot be open, I am not showing my face on my youtube channel, I am terrified someone will know. It's different from country to country, not everyone can get a diagnosis, but everywhere people are suspicious of stuff they don't understand. That can ruin someone carer, hurt their loved ones. I am so happy for everyone who can be open with people.

I'm sorry youre in such a tough situation. I hope youre able to find people that you can be open with even if it has to be in secret because having support is right up there with staying physically safe
