This ost is just incredible. I'm so happy my parents bought this game for me when I was a lil kid, not to mention it has one of the best stories in any Pokemon game. Def my most favorite game, and it'll probably stay my favorite for a long time to come.

I decided to Play this game again, Deleted my 57hours save file and started over after 10 years.

the fact I played this when I was 7, 8, 9,10,12,14,15,16 and now 17, I can't get enough of this game, I could play endlessly
Ah the memories I've had of giving up after Palkia destroyed me 50+ times. I only recently went back, deleted the save file and replayed the entire thing finish to end. It's such an amazing game and it will always hold a place in my heart.
I misread your whole comment at first and thought you said you deleted your save file every time you lost to Palkia and thought "So basically me when I played Pokemon Red and Blue for the GameBoy Color and lost any trainer battles." because I wasn't used to being able to save my game back then (the reason why I wasn't used to being able to save my data is because because I had a PS1 but no memory card for it. Didn't even know they existed back then because I was a kid who paid no attention to the news most of the time) and even when I did start saving my data I, for some stupid reason, thought that losing to someone meant you had to give them all of your gym badges.
Temporal Tower, Temporal Spire, Hidden Highland, Primal Dialga, Across the Hidden Sea and the really sad one after your character dies are my favourites, not to mention of course Wigglytuff's wonderful theme music. I need to beat this bloody game again....
The real sad one is called "I don´t want to say goodbye" and it not being in this list is just a shame, it deserves the Number One spot.

This has reminded me of how much I loved the Brine Cave and Temporal Tower songs when I played through it the first time. Plus I completely forgot about that epic drop in Blizzard Island at 57:59 😂

Definitely play them, they are all good. Explorers of Sky is so far the best with the 3D version Super Mystery Dungeon being a close second. I say this for story reasons mainly. Sky has things that improved upon Time and Darkness so like many of the main series trios the third in the set ends up the best... at least to me, Super stands on it's own without even a second game.

Blizzard Island is just a remix of some amazing soundtracks from Red and Blue Rescue Team, that's why it is so catching in my opinion, it gives a sort of nostalgia-inside-nostalgia
Im totally agree with the Top, but, I think miss the Aegis Cave in the top, this theme was so good...
Fun fact: Blizzard Island aka #2 is actually a mix of some of the best Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue / Red Resque team ost such as Sky Tower, Thunderwave cave and i believe Mt. Freeze

Spoiler ahead, sorry.
TS Had to be number one. TT Was quite zany and all over the place for lack of a better word, as if to say, time is running out and we need to hurry, and it fills me personally with a very tense feeling. TS on the other hand is much more relaxed, and for me helps to build a feeling of nostalgia, as the very "clocky" sounds fuel the idea that while time is running out, you still have time to look back on your journey, which I think is beautiful and along with Beyond The Sea Of Time, Fogbound Lake and I Don't Want To Say Goodbye, this theme is one of the best and fills me with so much emotion everytime I hear it, to the extent of Zinnia, Cyrus, Cynthia and Giratina's themes.

@@somehowviable7696 probably because this is dungeon themes only. Spacial rift didn't have it's own theme unfortunately, it just used previously heard tracks.
Honestly, no, I feel like the Number one should´ve been I don´t want to say goodbye, the fact that it was not even listed is such a shame. This theme causes tears no matter how often it is played.

Saying it's not a theme is absurd.
It's the theme of probably the most important scene in Explorers.
It definitely deserved to be on that list.

Surely, the best soundtracks of mystery dungeon Explorers of T/D is... "I don't want to say good-bye". It's epic, sad, beautiful, and heartbreaking.
Temporal Spire is 1st? I don't want to say goodbye is -20th. Listen to it, let it overhelm your heart with the memories of the game. The saddest and most happy memories.

I loved Pokémon since I was a child and I‘m still playing all main series games but there are no doubts that the Mystery Dungeon games are the best ones with a great story and absolute perfect soundtracks!

Something about this OST is just so... different, maybe its the reverb? Everything is just so signature but it never gets old.

My reactions to this list: Spoilers may be included. A lot of my opinions are based on the message of the songs too.
20. This song is good, but not very memorable and not the best.
19. Again, a good song but not very memorable, especially when the hardest part was the the boss who if you died against brought you back to the second part of the level.
18. This song is catchy for sure, but after listening to it a while, it starts to lose its "magic".
17. This song. I think its one of my favorites for early game. It's very catchy, however, it's also a bit repetitive. The instrument used (heh heh) gets tiring after a while.
16. This song just hits you with 'evil' throughout almost the entire song. I like it for sure, but the feeling of the dungeon makes the song feel... uneasy.
15. I love this song so much, so I am disappointed that it didn't make it higher on the list. It such a change from the other songs that play at this part and it's so catchy and memorable.
14. Again, I love it and wish it made higher. It gives you a sort of lost feeling so as to where you just don't know what's coming next.
13. Let's just say I couldn't identify which dungeon this was just by hearing the song. The song itself is not terrible, but not at all memorable in any way.
12. This song hits you right in the feels. Then with what happens after... well this song lets you know that something bad is going to happen and everything in the dungeon has lost all hope.
11. Like thirteen, I failed to recall this dungeon by the theme. However, what this one has that thirteen doesn't have is great tune that's catchy. And the throwback to number eighteen is brilliant.
10. Now we're getting somewhere. This song fits the dungeon to a T and also sounds good. However, it's so short that it gets old after a while.
9. Ah, this song is also just as catchy as number fifteen. Although I definitely prefer fifteen over this one. The whole point of the dungeon was to let you know what was at the end wasn't evil and this song ruins the mood. At least it's good.
8. This song is great with the motifs and the epicness. It definitely fits the dungeon. The instruments used are great too, but, sadly, the song isn't very memorable because it relies so heavily on the motifs.
7. Just like nine, I feel like this song ruined the mood of the dungeon. This time, though, it's like the song tries to make up for that in the middle which creates conflicting emotions. It is a nice song though, but it doesn't fit.
6. I feel stupid because I couldn't identify this one. Perhaps it was because I didn't spend much time in here. It is a catchy song that builds the suspense of the dungeon, but the bass line almost seems to clash with the melody line. It's beautiful when it's alone, but when the melody is added...
5. This song reflects the beginning of the game, when everything seems great and happy. Only... this dungeon isn't at the beginning. It's after when the plot begins to unfold which makes the song seem out of place. At least when you hear it, it's the first in the series which doesn't make it TOO out of place. It's memorable and nostalgic though, so overall a good song.
4. This song is great, but I don't get a real vibe for where it is supposed to take place. Still, it's very well made. 51:13 though is absolutely gorgeous. The adventure is high with this one.
3. This song is so different than number five that I can barely even tell it's from the same dungeon. This one flows a lot better and definitely deserves to be above five.
2. While I remember the song, I didn't remember where it was from. The song is basically a homage to Blue and Red Rescue Team. Mt. Freeze, Sky Tower, Mt. Thunder, and Thunderwave Cave to be exact. Really, Sky Tower is carrying this whole song and besides nostalgia, the others don't really help it in any way, especially for the location. Each song is good on its own, but not in this song.
1. And for number one.... this song? It's not even really a song. It's a motif with clicking and background music. So what makes it so good? When it's played. That is the entire key to this song. SPOILERS FOR THE LIST
You make it through the first part of this dungeon and you step into that middle room to hear minimal music. Yet as you progress, the song gets more and more epic. Until it all dies down again. A beautiful piece.

It's good to see a standpoint based in focus dedicated to the song composition and its placement within the game, as opposed to one clouded by nostalgia.
I agree that a lot of the PMD games had great music, but, they definitely needed to work better on which songs played at which moment in the game.
Temporal tower is not memorable? Temporal spire is not a song? Um...
To be fair Dunban sir, he does end up calling it a beautiful piece. But agreed, temporal tower not being memorable is a questionable call. DIfferent people remember different things though
