    Yours is the best video I've seen so far to really solve the problem. I always thought that the top part that holds the coffee needed to be cleaned but I'd never seen anyone show how to take it apart. Sure enough one of the holes WAS clogged. I descaled it and cleaned all the parts thoroughly, so I'm expecting a superior cup of coffee in the morning. There were so many grounds in my coffee yesterday morning that I just didn't drink any. I was a mess all day! It's the only caffeine drink. Thanks so much!

    This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

    it's the only video that even indicated the brew basket could be separated. I had used a paperclip from the inside which did not help. First time I've had a full cup of coffee in ages! Thank you very much!

    Also, there is a soft rubber seal around the top needle. At some point mine fell off causing water and coffee grounds to overflow the cup making a big mess. While rinsing out the grounds in the sink, the seal fell out from somewhere.

    I have a 2.0 and this helped me for the most part. My basket is different, it is a whole piece but it popped out ok. I discovered my problem was inside yet. I unplugged it and put a paper towel in to soak up water and grounds and the "tray" loosened so I was able to pop it out and clean it. I am now grounds AND drip free. Thanks. Paperclip is taped underneath the unit now.

    I watched probably a dozen videos and they all had to do with the top needle. I knew the issue was the bottom needle, so this video was super helpful and I thank you very much.

    Thank you! This helped immensely! My husband uses the fill it yourself cups and I swear that is the problem. I just cleaned the coffee maker our according to your instructions. I didn't know you could unscrew the bottom of the coffee thingy. That's neat and it was yuky there. Thanks again!

    I was getting a "Brewer Interrupted" message.
    I tried cleaning descaling, cleaning both needles and constantly running water through it.
    Just saw a video that said simply, poke a small hole in the K Cup to prevent it from popping itself.
    I tried it and it worked. Learn something every day.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. You solved my problem. For whatever reason my Starbucks kcups were flooding my cup with coffee grounds. But yet my husbands Dunkin Donuts kcups were working fine. I cleaned everything out and mine were still filling the cup with grounds. Thanks for this video. I was ready to ship my 3 month old Keurig back.

      We have been having the same issue and it is always the Starbucks k-cups that cause the problem. Wonder what’s up with that?

  • @HopingforGodsreturnsoon
    @HopingforGodsreturnsoon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I want to ask a question, your video is excellent and show us how to clean the bottom part where we introduce the k-cup, although, how do we clean the top part of the machine. Mine had a lot of coffee ground there and I’ve been rinsing it a lot, but I don’t want to damage it while doing it and water can come in the main system. Thanks

  • @jtektauto4109
    @jtektauto4109 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My Keurig done this one time and the coffee was really watered down also and all it ended up being was where the kcup wasn't sitting on the needle correctly when I closed the lid.. If you load the cup crooked the top straitens up the cup with the needle in the wrong place so it makes the hole to big or no hole at all. So just just make sure the cup is loaded correctly so that when you close the lid it is all lined up.

    I've performed all of these steps and there wasn't much stuck in the cup because it all goes in my coffee EVERY time! What can I do at this point? It almost seems like the needle has started to make an exit hole that is too big letting out too much grounds instead of just water.

  • @samgeragonis4534

    Awesome. I have also found a product called Kup-Lift to stop that annoying splashing.

  • @MyRebel44
    @MyRebel44 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The best thing you can do is. When you put the K- cup in the basket is to push down on it and pop the the bottom of the cup on the needle. . The pressure inside is why you are getting Coffee grounds in your coffee. I use my thumbs on each side so I don’t break the foil.

    I've done all those steps and I buy my pods through Keurig. My order 2 months ago came damaged...crushed. Some of the pods still looked ok to use, but they weren't. They totally messed up my new duo coffee maker. I cleaned it thoroughly, but now, we get grounds in our cup. 😳 It's very frustrating and I complained to Keurig. They sent me 48 pods. That didn't change the fact that the duo puts grounds in our cups. Super disappointed.

    I've taken the basket apart and washed it thoroughly, did the paper clip thing, even ran one of those special Keurig cleaning cups through a couple times. I then went through almost a dozen cycles of just water with no k-kups and I'm still getting grounds coming out. Can't figure out where they're coming from.

      I have the same issue. It seems grounds can also collect outside of the removable piece. Maybe try pouring some water through the spout area and cleaning with a small brush or paper towel if you can reach.

      could be just the nature of the beast. I never have found a fabric or stainless steel filter that removed 100% of the coffee "dust" the way a regular brew (paper) filter does. (Or it could be that I never noticed bc I rarely drink the very last drop in the pot. Either way, the coffee dust is more of a visual annoyance than anything else.

    🤢🤮🤢 You may have just saved my life and kept me from committing man slaughter by serving friends and family coffee!!! I had no idea this cup popped out, and years ago I tried finding a video on how to clean it but only found descaling videos. My kurig is 10 years old this is the first time I've cleaned that cup holder and what came out turned my cleaning sponge black...this will give me nightmares for some time. Thank you so much for an excellent video!

    This vid fixed the issue with coffee grounds in my coffee.. I had the wrong k-cups. Lemme explain, for the past year I've been battling with my Brewer thinking that it just wasn't clean or there's something wrong with the needles because I was getting coffee grounds in my coffee almost every single Brew. I tried all the descaling and cleaning and everything else that I've seen but nothing had registered about my K-Cups until watching this video. Sure enough I looked at the coffee K-Cups I had been using and they were generic Sam's Club Member's Mark K-Cups with no Keurig stamp of approval on them. So I immediately went to the store and bought the Keurig logo approved K-Cups, put them into my Brewer, and right away no coffee grounds!!!!! So long story short make sure you check your K-Cup purchase because you could get coffee grounds if they're not Keurig approved. I think, like the video points out, generic kcups might be ground too small, thus bypassing and getting into the brew. Thanks for the nugget of info that fixed my long running issue!!

    My problem was far worse than that. The buildup of coffee grounds looked like sludge in an engine block that was under the basket itself and in the housing. I had to take the housing apart and clean it. It was so thick that running hot water alone through it produced a black cup of coffee. How did it get so bad even though I descaled and cleaned it on a regular basis.

    I sorry but I think in my, and a lot of others people's cases, there is a defect in the 2.0 brewers, mine has either given me a error message, or has filled my coffee with grounds, even when brand new and after a full de scale and cleaning. This company has screwed up on the 2.0s
