This video was great! I had ordered my Velar about 2 months ago and was waiting for a proper video to give me the full extent of what I was going to get. This video had my exact Coris Grey color, black 21" rims but mine will be the P380. I have about 30 days until I sit in mine. Kind of a kid waiting for Christmas now.
Hi Pete.. well I've put my name down for one. My dealers got 3 in at the moment and I'm looking forward to testing it out shortly. Beautiful looks... shame about CarPlay! Are they mad?!
Hi Peter, great review and goes a long way to reinforce that placing an order for one in February 2017 was the best decision ever made! Fortunate enough to take an identical demonstrator out on both country lane and motorway test this very week and its been worth the wait! Roll on September delivery!!
I tested one of these and had ordered a se dynamic 3 litre v6 engine but it just didn't do it for me, The outside looks great, but inside let it down a lot of tacky plastics and the leather stitching on the seats weren't great, especially the quality build especially when your spending over 70,000 for one, I did order one then quickly councelled it when I test drove a Volvo XC90, The interior of the car will blow your mind makes the velar look like it's been thrown together, I would strongly recommend looking at a Volvo XC90 first.
I’ve had one for 3 years it’s never missed a beat, also off road it is incredible as I took one on the Land Rover experience. For those asking how it compares to the f pace this is bigger and wider. Hope that helps 👍
I can not wait to pick mine up in a few weeks!!! I've been waiting for what seems like forever for this car to be released so happy I waited Great review thank you 🤗👊🏽 #Velar
Nice review Pete. .Rear lights have a Porsche look about them. looks stunning in and out. one other thing are you aware the volume on the music you use to split the different bits of film footage is so much louder than the rest of the vid!!
I really want one there so nice they are so stunning although my mum got a new car already I really want one I'm a massive fan of cars and I'm 10 years old
When the Velar launched, the salesman at my JLR dealership invited me to check it out. The aim was to persuade me to upgrade from my Discovery Sport (which I bought after watching your review) . I loved everything about the car except the price and the limited leg room in the rear seat. I had gotten used to the spacious, airy interior of my DS but would have seriously considered trading up to the Velar if it wasn't so cramped in the back seat in comparison. For the huge difference in price I didn't think it was worth the smaller interior and kept the DS.
Hi Peter, another great review . The interior is very nice, as you say just needs one of the tuning company's to breath there magic on it and it could be a beast Cheers Tony👍👍🏁
I’d really like one of these but I’m kind of put off when I read about the appalling reliability record of JLR vehicles. Should I be that concerned or am I over analysing it? Please help.
Should always drop the seats and see if it's flat. Makes a big difference. The Evoque is certainly not with the Dynamic seats. Something you don't realize until you own it and use it and the angle is not a good attribute.
This Velar is missing some basic luxury appointments and is expensive as hell, but dammit if this is not the best looking SUV I've ever seen. The designer of this did just an outstanding job. I am not a LR at all but I would humor this one for its amazing looks. Bravo
Nice one. Had a walk around and sit in one yesterday at our local JLR dealer, whilst dropping our Disco Sport off. Lovely interior and nice styling. Thought it looked quite big, but it was difficult to compare as it was in the showroom. Did think of bokking a cheeky test drive just to see what it was like on the road.
Lovely car and huge fan! Having just taken delivery of my Range Rover Sport SVR I'll be looking forward to see Land Rover expand their SVR range and the Velar I'm sure would look and sound stunning!
Excellent review. Thank you 👍. Perhaps two points I wanted to get your opinion about: a) how is the body roll and grip on bends? b) the turning signal sounds like a cheap car, not muffled like luxury German ones. Am I right?
Gosh...over three years later I search for a Test and find yours! Today I had the Discovery Sport serviced and they had a new D300 HSE SVO Edition in Velocity Blue with lots of extra bits added. I have never really be too struck by the basic D180 S versions but today rather liked the one I saw. Full list is £76400 but I think that can be adjusted! First sort the house...then think of cars! 😃😃😃😃Now...back to 2021!!😃😃😃😃
I like your long duration reviews - like having the car for a weekend getaway or asking your viewers for points of interest over the course of a week. Personally, I think the your USP could be in the real world, interactive reviews (not a short official test route review - there are too many of these already). Ps. When doing 0-60 tests in an auto: use left foot braking, build up the revs, then release the brake.
Glad you enjoy my reviews. If I can get cars for longer I prefer that too. If you check out my Audi RS7 review I had that for a week and was able to get you guys involved. For this review I was very limited to how long I had in the car due to it being so new. You should only use that technique if launch control is fitted and this car didn't have it, otherwise to just knacker the clutch and brakes ;-)
I love this truck. As soon as you said it doesn’t have Apple car play I know I won’t be buying one. This is one the most popular phones and they leave it out is ludicrous!
Petrol Ped I went searching on the internet and there is an app they do use for all devices. It’s called justDrive, an app technology that integrates multiple smartphone apps into a single voice activated in car experience. The article said 2014.
when you floored it, what was the gear changes like? did it over stretch and lose power like it does on the 2.2 evoque? the evoque engine and gear box is terrible
I had the worst experience ever at Daly Land Rover. I took my Range Rover there for a service and took it back after the diesel streamed out of the front where I discovered they never tightened the diesel filter and the air filter was so badly fitted that the bonnet would not close properly. When I complained to the manager he told me I'm not a client of he's because I did not by my Range Rover from Daly and I must get out of he's office and have my car serviced at a other Land Rover service. After complaining to Land Rover South Africa I got no response and I am now left with no other option than social media. Jacques Wolmarans
Well I hope the electronics are better than the current Range Rover Sport. I have a 2015 HSE SDV8 but the electronics are sooooooo slow and the sat nav is pretty woeful. I will be interested to have a better look when it arrives in Oz.
Stunning design and a great review Peter. Pity it has no low range. I guess you Poms will just use it to take the kids to school, which is a bit of a waste of a very capable vehicle. Sad to hear..........you don't like the new Disco. We have just ordered one. They hit the showrooms down here on 1st August. Ours arrives 17th November. It is being kitted out for the bush. Should be a little more comfortable than our 110 Puma wagon. lol
Hi Derek. Most Land Rovers never leave the tarmac over here ! I love the new Disco, I'm just not a fan of the rear. You one sounds like it's going to be VERY cool !
Hi Peter, I like this car but why team up with Panasonic for the on-board interface that's cost a small fortune but won't work with Apple car play or Android car play that will put customers off it's a great car and I love the styling but it's not for me just don't get it sorry Peter but NO. Regards Alan B
twitty camies Hi I also have Apple car play in a Ford Smax and it works well I don't have any major complaints but the point I am trying to make is they have developed this car and have given Panasonic a wagon full of cash and yet it fails to cover the basic needs in the modern day car I just can't compute how that has been allowed to happen in such a nice spec car. Regards Alan B
I'm glad it's working out for you Alan, I suppose my main issue with CarPlay is that it is sub par for an Apple product. The podcasts app continually either doesn't work or crashes the whole interface requiring me to unplug the phone this has been going on since I got it two years ago. It could be so much better. From what I understand CarPlay and android auto are coming to the new Range Rovers via software update. Regards.
Hi Peter, they already have a new interface that works well why Change it and spend more and it fails to work with or phone as I say it's a great looking vehicle would you compare this to a SQ or Q5 also what other vehicles rack up in this sector that can off road as well as this car it's a tough one also I must apologise as not watched the Audi RS5 review but when I do you will have my comment on that the problem being I have Virgin 300Mbps with. Superhub 3 and my very own Linksys WRT3200acm but over the past 10 days it's been terrible and that's being nice so having to use the phone on 4G that screws my eyes up but hope to get back to giving you many thumbs up as ever. Your No1 supporter Alan B.
Great review, the Velar looks as though it should have a shifter like the one in the F Type, I'm not a rotary knob fan and that interior just looks like it needs a joystick.
watching the video, looked like you had a lot of head room. I built mine and it arrives in 3 weeks...can't wait. Carpathian grey, black package, 21'' wheels
Ooo...good question. The SQ5 interior is superb, as all Audi interiors are. The Velar has a more luxury feeling trim for me and the touch screen displays really do set it aside from the competition.
As always an excellent review Peter. Personally I think the two tone trim is not only questionable in appearance, but also hugely impractical for everyday use. I cannot see that interior looking like that for long..
Love your reviews. Last one you did on a JLR product that I saw was the 2017 Jaguar Sportbrake AWD. How about grabbing a new 2018 model in S form (which is all we will get in the U.S.) and giving us a take on that? Especially when that loaded, is the same 80,000 as the VELAR. They would, I think, appeal to the same buyer..at least they do to me. Can't decide between the two. Leaning to the sportwagon as I have a feeling it has more rear room and rides every bit as good. Unless you don't want to admit you are not going off-road, lol.
about boot space I remember my mothers Fiat UNO being able to carry her and my fathers suitcases in the back of this small hatchback for a six week break. Please show how much full size suitcases you can really fit in the back of these 80 t0 £100k plus cars.
I still haven't made my mind up whether I like it or not haha. Looks too much like an F-Pace to me, but it'll probé rely grow on me like most cars. But I must say, you definitely do great reviews and they keep getting better good stuff. 👍
Looked a bot damp around th Goodwood Racecourse Ped but l agree, diesel is a perfectly logical solution for many applications. And the key to Dpf filters, is to make sure you burn them frequently. Fast high temp runs are in order. As for going electric in the future, please, we need to stop this madness.
Oooh, can't say I like all the white in the interior, especially on the steering wheel, horn button, head rests, seats and door panels, with all the natural oils on our skin, hair etc that is going to look grubby in no time. All the areas that receive the most contact are brilliant white. I can imagine someone who buys one with this particular interior is going to regret it later.
Apple/Andriod CarPlay/Auto is on its way folks, relax. Just didn't arrive in time for this MY. I think the ICE is super futuristic, standard across the range is great for consumer and let's keep in mind, the 'alleged' infotainment benchmark, Tesla, don't support CarPlay/Auto either....
That back seat looked a bit tight for 80 grand. Just another 2 inches or so would have been nice. Would have liked to see more of that fabric inside and the actual room in the rear with the front seat set for a 6 footer,
Just two inches shorter in the boot would have solved that. With split seats, there's plenty of storage/luggage room for a trip, if necessary in there. This is a Rangy for us city-folk who want it all in a smaller package. Smaller package doesn't have to mean less rear space.
Still think that the review was terrific and detailed as to ride, but could have exposed us (sorry, lol), in all that time you had, (it wasn't that short compared to a lot of reviews BTW) to what the interior packaging really was. Thanks.
it's certainly big shame with no apple or android integration with 2018 approaching really fast...what they were thinking or they were not thinking at all ?
For me they felt similar in feel and handling but the F Pace I drove was only a 2.0 and lacked power. I reckon the 3.0 would feel almost the same. I would love to drive them back to back.
It looks nice Ped on the outside, and its a good review, but the whole everything touchscreen thing. Its quite alarming for me, because as Im currently saving up my pennies for a proper Range Rover, my fear is they will redesign the proper Range Rover interior to be like this and I pray they don't as this is not really my taste and its too "spaceship" . Also, the handbrake being by your knee is not very intuitive really. Can't say Im a fan of the Velar. I think I'd go so far as to say I'd prefer an Evoque over a Velar and that is a sentence I never thought I'd utter....
I don't know about this car... It looks like a nice car outside, but inside... I just can't like it. I just hope they don't apply this "style" and I use that term loosely to the whole range.
I was never really interested in Land Rover cars. But I must say this one has got me thinking a lot about it. I'm even starting to lose interest in my Merc 😕
After 3 years this thing will cost you a small fortune in repairs if you are stupid enough to own one...90% of the drivers of these will never even take them off road. It will appeal to the Chelsea Tractor brigade and be worth a lot less than half price after 3 years. Avoid like the plague unless you have more money than sense.
Not bad looking car and great review...made me laugh how you said 0-60 in 6.9 wasn't really fast....well it isn't nowadays...but that's quicker than the old Golf VR6 and my other Golf V5 170.
Apple Car Play gives voice text, better integration with iPhone, Siri, better apps and reliability I used it for several months and was really impressed. Very much miss text speak and being able to send messages using Siri
Counting the minutes :-)
That is one of the best interiors I've ever seen on a car! 😍 Great review mate 👍
Cheers Olly !
agree, i love simple things in car and look luxury feel luxury all is functional without stupid things around, best suv ever
The first range rover , that I actually want ...
I think that might be the case for lots of people :-)
Gerry Freeman i think for most people range rover was too big for common streets until now
@Gerry Freeman why? Are you blind?
Gerry Freeman Whas wrong with the Range Rover and the Range Rover sport?
what was the exact color?
I agree on the Disco 5 rear!
As per usual a highly personal and real review! Great work
Cheers. Not sure what the JLR designers were thinking to be honest !
Good review, thank you. I really do like the Velar and it's the only SUV I would swap mine for - regardless of price.
i love this, it looks like a extended version of evoque from the side
Yet another winner from Petrol Ped ... Thanks :)
Thanks Dave :-)
Hey Peter, it's great to see you getting your hands on new cars so early, you must be doing something right. Love the interior of this Velar
This one was luck, but I hope to get more of it as my channel continues to grow.
Hi Pete.. well I've put my name down for one. My dealers got 3 in at the moment and I'm looking forward to testing it out shortly. Beautiful looks... shame about CarPlay! Are they mad?!
Wow Quentin, you are going to love it ! I don't get the Car Play thing either !
Hi Peter, great review and goes a long way to reinforce that placing an order for one in February 2017 was the best decision ever made! Fortunate enough to take an identical demonstrator out on both country lane and motorway test this very week and its been worth the wait! Roll on September delivery!!
Wow Rich...you must be buzzing ! Wishing the days away like a kid before Christmas :-)
I have heard the XC90 is very good. I need to drive one :-)
I love the car and i also love your reviews.
Thanks Vincent...glad you're liking my vids !
I’ve had one for 3 years it’s never missed a beat, also off road it is incredible as I took one on the Land Rover experience. For those asking how it compares to the f pace this is bigger and wider. Hope that helps 👍
Another great review Mr Ped. Well done.
Thank Mr Ray :-)
I can not wait to pick mine up in a few weeks!!! I've been waiting for what seems like forever for this car to be released so happy I waited Great review thank you 🤗👊🏽 #Velar
Enjoy the new car when it arrives Sue. They are very special !
Most beautiful and best SUV into worlds
ggod stuff matey. can't wait for your full review. it does look awesome though. keep it up .
I'd like to have one for the day and get it muddy ! Glad you enjoyed it :-)
deserve many more subsribers, excellent review!
Thanks Richie. I'm working on it :-)
Spread to word for me ;-)
Nice review Pete. .Rear lights have a Porsche look about them. looks stunning in and out.
one other thing are you aware the volume on the music you use to split the different bits of film footage is so much louder than the rest of the vid!!
Thanks Ian. It is something I am experimenting with on each edit. I shouldn't be but I'll check and take that feedback into the next video.
I really want one there so nice they are so stunning although my mum got a new car already I really want one I'm a massive fan of cars and I'm 10 years old

Oh yes !
Another great review buddy!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
This Velar is missing some basic luxury appointments and is expensive as hell, but dammit if this is not the best looking SUV I've ever seen. The designer of this did just an outstanding job. I am not a LR at all but I would humor this one for its amazing looks. Bravo
It is pretty luxurious but I think they hold some stuff back for the full RR. It's sure is pretty though !
Just be prepared to get you cheque book out when you get back from the drive !
Great review Peter, thank you so much! Could you manage to get what color is the model shown?
I am trying :-)
Lovely car and huge fan! Having just taken delivery of my Range Rover Sport SVR I'll be looking forward to see Land Rover expand their SVR range and the Velar I'm sure would look and sound stunning!
You've got a RR Sport SVR...you lucky man. I loved that car :-)
Today I had the Discovery Sport serviced and they had a new D300 HSE SVO Edition in Velocity Blue with lots of extra bits added. range rover is famous about the check engine light.
Yup. My levels of self-respect prevent me from buying one, thereby walking into that sort of abusive relationship with their "customer service" staff.
Great review ! Subscribed !
Awesome. Welcome to the channel :-)
Yes could be for now also my favorite suv
I like your long duration reviews - like having the car for a weekend getaway or asking your viewers for points of interest over the course of a week. You should only use that technique if launch control is fitted and this car didn't have it, otherwise to just knacker the clutch and brakes ;-)
My dad has this car and it’s personally perfect 😍
Wonder how those door handles will perform in the winter when they are iced over.
You would be knackered if they didn't work ;-)
I'm wondering how reliable they will be long term and how much will the almost inevitable repair cost be [possibly regularly]?
I love this truck. As soon as you said it doesn’t have Apple car play I know I won’t be buying one. This is one the most popular phones and they leave it out is ludicrous!

when you floored it, what was the gear changes like? did it over stretch and lose power like it does on the 2.2 evoque? the evoque engine and gear box is terrible
No, the gear changes were very smooth. I think the 8 Speed ZF box is pretty good :-)
Bad weather is good to review these cars, cos that is what they are fundamentally built for.
I had the worst experience ever at Daly Land Rover. I took my Range Rover there for a service and took it back after the diesel streamed out of the front where I discovered they never tightened the diesel filter and the air filter was so badly fitted that the bonnet would not close properly. Jacques Wolmarans
WOW...that is not good :-(
Great review 👍
Here’s hoping few teething problems and hence recalls.
Will it win over Porsche Macan.....BMW or Audi owners?
Only time will tell that !
If the F-Pace SVR is also priced at the same 75K pounds, would you still prefer this Velar?
I don't think it will be 75k, but if it was I'd have the SVR for the noise alone !
I will have to wait until about 5 years before I can afford to buy one second-hand. Still I can dream...
Well I hope the electronics are better than the current Range Rover Sport. I have a 2015 HSE SDV8 but the electronics are sooooooo slow and the sat nav is pretty woeful. I will be interested to have a better look when it arrives in Oz.
Dream car. I love it. Thank you
Quick and easy review, GOOD!
Thank you. Glad you liked it.

Regards Alan B
Hi Alan. It can't be for everyone. Not sure about the Panasonic partnership, I guess they need to get tech like that from somewhere.
Alan I've got apple CarPlay and it's shit. You're not missing out on much.
twitty camies Hi I also have Apple car play in a Ford Smax and it works well I don't have any major complaints but the point I am trying to make is they have developed this car and have given Panasonic a wagon full of cash and yet it fails to cover the basic needs in the modern day car I just can't compute how that has been allowed to happen in such a nice spec car. Alan Butterfield Apple Car Play and Android Auto will be coming to the Velar! It has been confirmed, by JLR.
Struggling choosing colours with so many options and packs available, can you tell me if this was Corris Grey or Carpathian?
I'm afraid I can't remember. If I had to guess I'd go for Corris Grey ;-)
Many thanks, can't decide on colour and options - arghh
The question is :how much reliable will be ? more than the range rover vogue or sport which had several issues....Very nice video!
I guess we will wait and see :-)
Reliable? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....................etc.
Hi Petrol Head how do you think this stacks up against the 2017 Audi SQ7 I am just curious what you think?
The SQ7 is a bigger car and has the most incredible performance. Here is my review of the SQ7
th-cam.com/video/QnDdmUqQ7m8/w-d-xo.html
Hi Peter, they already have a new interface that works well why Change it and spend more and it fails to work with or phone as I say it's a great looking vehicle would you compare this to a SQ or Q5 also what other vehicles rack up in this sector that can off road as well as this car it's a tough one also I must apologise as not watched the Audi RS5 review but when I do you will have my comment on that the problem being I have Virgin 300Mbps with. Your No1 supporter Alan B.
The SQ5 was quicker, but the Velar felt more special and if I needed to go off-road I'd take the Velar !
Do you ever look in the rear view mirrors ?
As an Advanced Driver of course !
I'm not an SUV guy, but I think this is a great looking car! I'd put money on it selling very well indeed!
Me too !
Great review, the Velar looks as though it should have a shifter like the one in the F Type, I'm not a rotary knob fan and that interior just looks like it needs a joystick.
A joystick would be really cool ;-)
I am 6'5'' and unsure if I will fit. How is the head room? My head touches the ceiling on a RR sport so hoping this has more head room
I'm not sure. I'm 6'3" but most of that is in my legs !
watching the video, looked like you had a lot of head room. I built mine and it arrives in 3 weeks...can't wait. Carpathian grey, black package, 21'' wheels
I know I've just watched this in April 2024 and it's a few years old but still enjoyed
My first viral video 👍
looks stunning
Sure does !
Pete you mention that you choose the Velar above the SQ5. How does the interior compare with the SQ5?
Ooo...good question. The SQ5 interior is superb, as all Audi interiors are. The Velar has a more luxury feeling trim for me and the touch screen displays really do set it aside from the competition.
Dana Pretorius i1
It's really nice. Saw one in person but it's too small for my liking. I plan to get the RR sport once it's updated to the Velar standards.
Can't wait to see that :-)
I hope they make an SVR version of this and I they can have my money
Me too...it would be awesome !
It would be amazing if JLR out the 5 litre V8 in a SVR verson.
As always an excellent review Peter. Personally I think the two tone trim is not only questionable in appearance, but also hugely impractical for everyday use. I cannot see that interior looking like that for long..
Nick Horton We had two tone in our RR Sport and it was pretty good...mind you we don't have kids 😂
The back is so grand cherokeeish to me. Good build
Beauty And A Beast.
I presume I am the 'Beauty' ;-)
Love your reviews. Last one you did on a JLR product that I saw was the 2017 Jaguar Sportbrake AWD. How about grabbing a new 2018 model in S form (which is all we will get in the U.S.) and giving us a take on that? Especially when that loaded, is the same 80,000 as the VELAR. Unless you don't want to admit you are not going off-road, lol.
That is a great idea. I'll have a chat with my local Jag Dealer :-)
about boot space I remember my mothers Fiat UNO being able to carry her and my fathers suitcases in the back of this small hatchback for a six week break. Please show how much full size suitcases you can really fit in the back of these 80 t0 £100k plus cars.
they are a very good value for the money. i would get one if i did not have the DBX
I still haven't made my mind up whether I like it or not haha. Looks too much like an F-Pace to me, but it'll probé rely grow on me like most cars. But I must say, you definitely do great reviews and they keep getting better good stuff. 👍
Finlay Downham-White Cheers Finlay 👍
Which colour is that? Corris grey or carpathian grey? it's really a nice combo with the black rims.
Not sure but I am trying to find out :-)
I think it is Coris Grey :-)
Perfect - thanks! Nice weekend! :)
Great video mate, nice car also. I wonder why it is called a velar if it is a 6 cylinder.
Read this to find out where the name came from :-)
Looked a bot damp around th Goodwood Racecourse Ped but l agree, diesel is a perfectly logical solution for many applications. And the key to Dpf filters, is to make sure you burn them frequently. Fast high temp runs are in order. As for going electric in the future, please, we need to stop this madness.
whats with stitching on the steering wheel from the inside ? a flaw ? @5:05
I must say the white interior wouldn't be my choice either !
Sick ride
I just don't know if I like it or not. The touch screen just seems difficult to use when driving
I think for some it will be a grower. The screen will take some getting used to but they seem pretty intuitive.
The touch screen puts me off too. I'd miss my BMW i-Drive
Very true...I'd not thought of that :-)
Oh, ace review btw!👍🏽👏🏽
will it break down in 3 years?
Nope. Long before that.
That back seat looked a bit tight for 80 grand. Just another 2 inches or so would have been nice. Would have liked to see more of that fabric inside and the actual room in the rear with the front seat set for a 6 footer,
That is what the Sport or Full Rangey are for I guess :-)
Just two inches shorter in the boot would have solved that. With split seats, there's plenty of storage/luggage room for a trip, if necessary in there. This is a Rangy for us city-folk who want it all in a smaller package. Smaller package doesn't have to mean less rear space.
Still think that the review was terrific and detailed as to ride, but could have exposed us (sorry, lol), in all that time you had, (it wasn't that short compared to a lot of reviews BTW) to what the interior packaging really was. Thanks.
That car in that colour omg I wanttttt oneeee so badddd
+Eoin O'Shaughnessy it's a lovely colour 👍
What colour is this? Corris Grey or one of the blacks? Thx
Does the crooked stitching on the steering wheel come as standard or is it an option?
BTW love the channel and video, just having a dig :)
Ouch 😂
No worries...it made me smile 👍
@@PetrolPed Merry Christmas mate.
it's certainly big shame with no apple or android integration with 2018 approaching really fast...what they were thinking or they were not thinking at all ?
I'm really not sure but maybe they will sort it out in the next release of software !
_ Remi _ It is coming. JLR confirmed this. Be patient.
how does this compare to the F-Pace that it is based on?
For me they felt similar in feel and handling but the F Pace I drove was only a 2.0 and lacked power. I reckon the 3.0 would feel almost the same. I would love to drive them back to back.
What a great car 👍
Sure is !
Beautiful car!
Does anyone know when will the CarPlay be available?
I don't know a date but I hope it's next year !
My gut feel Mike is that they will put the screen tech in the Evoque and RR Sport but leave the 'proper' Rangy old skool !
I don't know about this car... It looks like a nice car outside, but inside... I just can't like it. I just hope they don't apply this "style" and I use that term loosely to the whole range.
That's what people said about the first touchscreen iPhone in 2007! Shortly after that you know what happened!
awesome !
I was never really interested in Land Rover cars. But I must say this one has got me thinking a lot about it. I'm even starting to lose interest in my Merc 😕
Go and have a drive of one ;-)
Please make a comparison review of velar and sport.
Thanks
Great video idea. Thanks :-)
Love your reviews
Thanks Toby :-)
Just ordered one for my wife
Got it up to £92,000 and still didn't tick some options!!
WOW !
How is it going? Had any software issues yet?
Not bad looking car and great review...made me laugh how you said 0-60 in 6.9 wasn't really fast....well it isn't nowadays...but that's quicker than the old Golf VR6 and my other Golf V5 170.
I know...that was supercar territory in the 80's !
Hi, please what's the exterior colour called?
This was filmed such a long time ago I am afraid I don't know 😥
@@PetrolPed Found it online. It's called Carpathian Grey ☺
It's gonna break down next week.....or the week after! I want one!!!
Yup. Any JLR vehicle, and any Fiat Chrysler vehicle.
My levels of self-respect prevent me from walking into that sort of abusive relationship.
Does it have Android Auto / carplay?
No, not yet !
Petrol Ped alright thank you, I do hope that it does its one of those options once you use it you never want to go back again. Otherwise mega car!
I know Batman is jealous 😂
How the Velar falls between the Evoque and the Sport !? 🤔 It looks BETTER than the big Range !! 😅
Apple Car Play gives voice text, better integration with iPhone, Siri, better apps and reliability
I used it for several months and was really impressed. Very much miss text speak and being able to send messages using Siri
