zomg Lena every week you have a project that I am SO excited to make! Thank you for including how to make it larger for curvy girls (or women who like the extra movement or a looser fit). You are so wonderful!!
i guess im asking randomly but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
My mother use to make ponchos for us as children 50 yrs ago ....I think I will make one for my grandkids. They never go out of style .I absolutely love this particular pattern . Thank you for Sharing.
TY so much Lena. As you pointed out, I did learn something new today. Not only did you teach me how to crochet the Poncho but you also taught me how to break a pattern down and adapt it to size. I depend too much on patterns that don't give you the opportunity to create on your own. You are a great teacher.
You are one of the best! You make it all so easy to understand. I know I will enjoy making this lovely poncho. Thank you for all your time and talent you put into making these great videos. It is very much appreciated xx
This is the first time I’ve seen your videos, and I am so happy to have found your channel. I’m using your directions to add a cowl neck to 2 ponchos I made a few years ago. Your directions made it easy!! I have done front and back post dc several times before, but it took me forever to learn how to crochet those stitches. I used to avoid doing any pattern that required them. I think that anyone who is learning how to do these stitches is lucky to have learned from you. Your directions are very clear and make it so easy to do them! For the first row, I just chanted “push front”, then “push back”, which describes both the movement of the hook and the look of each stitch! Thank you for all of the information you gave us!
Absolutely gorgeous you are so good and you’ve given me so much inspiration to do one of these and carry on doing such more with granny stitch I love watching your channel
I love this video! I think you are an awesome teacher! I love how you haven taken your time to show each step the entire time! OUTSTANDING Job well done!
I made the poncho in pale grey for cowel/base and rustic multi color in the center. It turned out beautiful and it's very warm! Thank you for the tutorial.
I used this pattern to make a poncho with 4 points because I felt like the bottom was a bit narrow for my frame. It's going very well and I can't wait to finish it and add the cowl neck to it. Thanks so much for a great tutorial!
I love how snug the collar was stitched. I think this will be my next poncho. You also provided very clear instructions. Thank you for a very good job.
Wow that looks very Pretty 😍 I’m making one of these right now thank you so very much for sharing your tutorials with us all I really appreciate all of your work thanks 😊 😊😊😊😊
I love it! I’m going to make one for my mother. She has thyroid cancer and is always cold. Thanks for the tutorial. I’m new to crocheting and self taught. But, I think I can do this with your tutorial as a guide.
Thank you so much for your video!Did the beginning of your poncho,it was a little tight,so after I finished the yoke,I changed to a larger hook, the poncho flows much better and is snug where I wanted it.Finishing the fringe.Great pattern, thanks again.
You have a lovely accent & such a soothing voice. I listen to your instructions just to relax, though I made this poncho in a larger size per your instructions & it's gorgeous! I especially love the neck. I used a slightly thicker yarn.
I'm making this now using Noro Tayio color # 1 yarn. It's so pretty! I'm still trying to decide if I want to put the cowl collar on it. Thanks for sharing
The inspiration poncho is the work of Simone Francis and the pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry website. Great job on your variation and thank you so much for sharing your pattern with us! I'm working your version right now and it's going beautifully! 🍂 Happy Autumn 🍁
I finished my poncho in the Noro Tayio color #1 and would love to share a photo with you of the finished garmet. I did end up putting the collar on it and I'm so glad I did! It's stunning...Thank you so much for sharing this video. I lacked the confidence to attempt a garmet like this until I found your video! With your help, I was able to get over myself and just do it. I've already started another one :-) using Red Heart Unforgettable, color: Pearly. Thanks again
This is beautiful! The designer that inspired you is Simone Francis 😁 You have done a Great job! It’s great that you can create something from eye! One day I hope to do that!
Thank you - this is lovely! I have never done front and back posts before, but you made it very easy to understand. I love the colours you used too. Still working on it - a while to go yet, but really happy with how it is developing. 🙂
Thank you so much, I have seen the same poncho on pinterest and was so intimated by it, thinking I wasn't at that skill level, but you video was so clear and simple I'm going to start one tomorrow, I love the granny stitch so my heart was set on this style only. And I am a curvy girl, so that little extra advice on how to make it wider is just wonderful. Lol thanks again so much. 🥰
Renee De Bell You are a Goddess. Your patterns are so easy that a beginner, like me, can follow them. I love tutorial, it gave me an idea on what the pattern should like, I LOVE IT!!!! Please do more simple patterns for beginners. Don't forget the visuals and tutorial, slow and simple. { I gave the poncho to my sister-in-law. She was blown away} Reply 1
I love your pattern and your finished poncho! I wonder how many rows you did of front and back post double crochet you used for your collar? It looks absolutely perfect! Thank you so very much! ❤️
I just made my 2nd of these ponchos, this time without increasing the size and it fits amply on my XL frame, draping beautifully. Once again, i love the neck you've featured. It gives this poncho a very unique look.
I have seen this poncho on Pinterest as well but I could never find a pattern for free or for sell. So I am happy to have found your inspired work on it
Love the poncho, hoping after I finish with everything else go other people hope to make for me. LOL For the top it's called front & back post. FP & BP Love that stitch
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I'm currently working on the cowl part. Please could you tell me how to join new yarn for the cowl? I'm going to run out soon. Thank you!
I really appreciate that you don't give measurements in terms of stitches. Where I am, the bulkier yearn is really expensive so I tend to buy the cheapest there is, which has no hook recommendations or size noted (I use 2.5mm hook for tighter stitches and 3 for looser, more drapey stitches) and I just stitch it as is or use two balls to double up or try that tripling up method. Point is, I have no idea what gauge (I think) my yarn/stitches are. Crocheting a garment to your body measurements then feels much easier and stress-free than trying different methods of bulking up the yarn or trying different hook sizes and tension to get the gauge jut right.
Thank you! I love this poncho and will definitely give it a try. Do you keep going with the rows until you reach the desired length? And how do I make the fringe?? x
Hello love your work, just wanted to know, I brought some yarn, it says it’s #5 and I should use a J hook, but it’s very thin, so I decided to double the yarn and go up a to K Hook, what do you think 🤔

I love all of your tutorials! They are easy to follow and produce such amazing projects. How did you attach the fringe on this poncho?
I had a few asking this question, so I might just film a quick tutorial, since I haven't finished attaching all the fringes yet.
Question 🤚🏽how many rows did you make for the neck 😊
I've been wanting to make a poncho for so long. Thanks for such a clear and simple tutorial! 😊😘
