I have made this twice now, using stripes in four colours. It takes 1500m of 10-ply using a 4.0 hook (I crochet loosely). I do the neck and the final rows in the same colour, so ensure I’ve got more of that colour. It’s a lovely pattern, thanks!
This is very beautiful but if you would talk instead of putting at bottom it is hard for me to understand without a voice I have disabilities that this makes it difficult but it is absolutely beautiful thank you
The poncho is lovely! I was wondering if it's going to big enough for me. I wear extra large clothing. I'm hoping I can enlarge the neck a bit, but not sure how many chain stitches would be needed. Thank you for any help you can give me.
i don't know what i'm doing wrong. make a V stitch in each V stitch and a double on the corners. But my 2 corners are almost at length and the sides are still above my elbows . It's becoming a very weird model. I can not show a picture unfortunalety
Only increase twice on every 2nd round you do (1 round with and 1 without any increases). Once you have the desired size, continue to do round of V stitches without any increases.
Nice design. May i know what type n what category of yarn you're using? May i know the brand of yarn too, thank you🙏 if i want to make a bigger size, what is the starting chain or is it still the same as what you crochet in this tutorial?
Hello, so it is Dk yarn (size 3/8ply) and the brand is called “67 Blankets” in the colour “Peppermint Parade”. You still make the same amount of chains as said. When you start making the V stitches you will being with an increase round of V’s and the second round with V’s with no increases. You just repeat the 2 rounds of V sts over and over until you are happy with the width of it. Once you got the width, then you just continue to do rounds of V’s that has no increases in it at all. Repeat until you are happy with the length of it. Hope this helps :)
@@crochetit Thanks you!!! I’m making it but have just watched the V stitches many many times. I’ve never seen a poncho pattern where you Increase a row & not the next. Makes sense now. Thanks

Hello. This yarn is called “67 Blankets in Dk” and it the collour is called Peppermint Parade ( 100% acrylic) ( 300g ) ( 750m / 821 yards ). I can’t quite remember how much it cost, but in South Africa it was around R 70 - 100.
This was my first video tutorial that I made as a beginner. I was still learning to get the hang of things like editing and to incorporate the pattern (text) into the video. Only in my newer videos have I started talking to make the experience even better and easier for people to follow along.😊
Finally, a poncho that covers the arms as well as the body. It's lovely. Thank you!

The join line shows in all ponchos. Can it be avoided?
So lovely! Has anyone tried this in a bulky yarn, and if so what hook size did you use? Thank you!!

I was wondering how many grams too. It's a beautiful pattern.
Something around 500-600g of yarn, but it will depend on how big or small you are planning on making it 😃
Thanks 👍😊

Lovely poncho but no information
Not helpful
Sorry for negative comments
@@crochetit thanks so much. That's very helpful
She showed the hook at the beginning, it’s a 4, looks like DK. Amount would depend on how big you make it I guess.
@@thalassophile1665 thanks 😊
Do we increase twice on every round?

Can you tell me why 76 stitches? What size is it for? How many more stitches for bigger sizes? Thank you
It is for head size. The round made must go through the head. For bigger size make more chains.. 👍
Are there written instructions anywhere?
No sorry :)
That's a shame, I like it, but it would be nice to have them in writing.
@@toastynoggins7771 write it down as it comes up in video...then it's written down
Like the shape of this poncho. It isnt pointy. Why?
Is that a 4 weight yarn?

Is this a child size? 76 stitches doesn't fit over an adult head.
A no, I made it for a about a M size.

How come you don't talk in the video? Would be easier to follow if you did. I apologize if this seems offensive. Looks like a great pattern.

Thanks for the video. How much yarn is required for this poncho? I have about 1,500 yards of yarn and need to know if this is enough. Thanks
Yes, that amount would do, but it depends on how long you want to make the poncho, which would acquire more yarn

Thanks
Next time have somebody read or talk about what needs to be done done I can’t do the stitch and read at the same time I’m not talented that way
Is this for adult
