SOLD: Holton H179 Double Horn - Beautiful, and Great Player!

This horn has been sold.
The Holton H179 has been a staple in the horn world for decades. It is generally known as an easy to play, widely used horn that is versatile and has a great sound. This horn is no exception. It sings beautifully. It is very easy to play in all registers, and has a beautiful, milky sound.
The valves on this horn have excellent compression, and the slides all work properly as well. The lacquer on the horn is in great shape (though there are some scratches and signs of wear from normal use).
There are minor dings throughout the horn and a minor bend in the bell flare. There is evidence of some minor dent repair that has been done in the past on the bell tail, but it was excellently done. Also, one of the little decorative nuts on the finger paddle rod is missing. None of these things are affecting the playability of this horn, and even with these imperfections this horn looks great!
Included is what I believe to be the original Holton case. It has a few minor tears in the external cloth, but the case is in completely functional shape and protects the horn well. No mouthpiece is included.
