Super excited for this!! Remember she was the starting setter in a 6-2 her freshman year in 2003, starting setter in a 5-1 in 2004 (also number 1 overall seed lost in the elite 8) starting setter in 2005 ( lost in championship game, also number one seed), completly changed position in 2006 to libero and wins a national championship. This women is by far the best person we could have ever gained as a head coach!!! GBR and DBK!!!
Excited for you and the program Coach!!
This lady REALLY wants to be here! The program couldn’t be in better hands.😊
So excited Dani is leading Husker VB!!!
We're all happy that it's you, Dani....will miss Cook Cook but wish him a great retirement.
Good luck coach Kelly from a Louisville fan. We loved you here.
Good luck Dani!!
i'm so excited for her. everyone is going to miss john cook because he is NEBRASKA VOLLEYBAL and dbk has a lot of shoes to fill
Great interview!
LET'S GO!!! im so glad we got a new coach that actually has some spark hunger an drive for this team!!! win some rings girl it been way too long for dis team!!!
Go Big Red! 🎈
DBK knows commitment, personal sacrifice, how to be great and how to help players be their best! I'm super optimistic about the next leg of Big Red VB!!!!
Don't sweat the games, Coach. With the right character, the proper preparation, and the level of dedication, those details will take care of themselves, if not right away, not too long after. Get settled, for the Husker Nation is firmly behind you with our complete support. Remember that Texas is always not worthy of our attention, that Penn State is the most exciting game, that Wisconsin will be the one to be watchful of, and we don't drop sets to Iowa. Everything else will work out the way it is meant to be.
When you left in 16, I was concerned we would never get you back again, that things would not work out, and that time would play its hand. I am so relieved to see you back. Welcome Home, and thank you for returning!
Its so different to see DBK in a Nebraska jacket lol. I can tell she’s nervous, but im excited to see her competitive spirit come out when she settles and see how she evolves this program!!!
Go Dani and GBR!!!!!!!
DBK was the only logical choice. We are lucky to have her!
Welcome Coach Busboom!
GBR 🌽🏐🔥💥🏆♥️
GBR!!!
The N looks great on you coach! Congratulations
Go Dani! GBR 🌽🏐
Let's go DBK! GBR!
I think infusing fresh energy will do the team good. For all the success that Cook had his team's struggled at times when they were expected to do well and then also they could win when not expected to. Reminds me of Kansas Men's BBall. Volleyball is an interesting game oftentimes of momentum (good and bad). The best any coach can do is to be consistent to put the team in a position to win in the post season. There are no guarantees once at the final four. Here is hoping that Dani has a good formula to get over the top.
I have Gopher season tickets, but I have to say go big red!
Hoping Dani has tremendous success. It’s like Frost returning with Nebraska, but with a proven track record. Playing for Nebraska meant a lot to her. Winning as a coach…it’s her dream job. The pressure is high. Margin for error is minimal. Louisville has a good volleyball fan base.
Welcome HOME Dani.
Welcome *BACK* to Lincoln
GBR
Not one question about Louisville or her time there or was it a hard decision to leave Louisville or what will she miss the most about Louisville or was coaching at Nebraska her ultimate goal when she started coaching or about how she was asked to take over at Nebraska. Hopefully there will be a more in-depth interview later.
I kind of thought the same thing. I figured this is the better forum to do a minute or two on that experience than at GBR type official press conference.
