As a victim of bullying at a very young age, this angers me. I’m an educator myself and this is absolutely disgusting. I do not condone bullying and I have a zero tolerance policy on it but forcing an entire class to hit one student? This is essentially condoning and encouraging a revenge attack….. Bullies are students who have issues that schools have the resources to address in healthy, safe ways and I don’t care if they are the worst bully on the planet you do not allow them to be assaulted and humiliated! This solves nothing, only adds to their issues and those who agree with this teacher’s despicable idea need to broaden their perspectives! Edit: I acknowledge the mother seems ignorant to her child’s actions, which is awful however that is her child and outside the confines of school nothing can be done except by her.
If schools have the resources to address bullying, then why is there an increase in school shootings? This teacher may have saved lives in the future by stopping a bully while he’s still young. It’s a valuable lesson. I was bullied mercilessly and almost offed myself over it when I was younger. I have sympathy for all criminals except bullies (pimps, mafia, etc.) and sociopaths. Too many teachers don’t do enough to end bullying. At least she cared enough to try something different.
It absolutely solves everything. If you look in the comments then u will see that basically EVERYONE agrees. Now idk what type of anti-bullying stuff u do but it must not be very effective. What this teacher has done was very right and it teaches that whatever you give out to others/the world, it will come straight back to you. As a former student who has gotten bullied repeatedly… it resolves everything for the victim and punishes the bully with an actual punishment and not just a time out in the corner. If something was not done about this then he probably would have bullied even more in further grades. You saw how pathetic the mom was right? Didn’t even acknowledge that her son was the bully and wants justice for him…. Crazy.
@@ninjireal You don’t know me so how dare you make assumptions. Zero tolerance means I absolutely do not allow it to happen to ANYONE in my classroom, I intervene when needed and shut it down and allow students to share with me whatever troubles they are having to ensure the mistreatment stops and I take it to people who can help a bully with whatever issues they are having. Hey Mom, face your most important fact - that your boy was behaving in a way which made others percieve him as a bully! I agree with you that the teacher's decision was wrong. BUT the teacher lost her job: because of the wrong decisions YOUR son was making. I had the priviledge to work with kids in a school district for 21 years. I was in multiple schools a week. The WORST thing a parent ever does to their child is to teach their child "as your parent I believe that you can never do wrong, I will take up the fight to punish anyone who tells me different". Those kids learned immediately that their parents were ready for a fight with witnesses or accusers. This coping mechanism of his/her parent (s) got him/her out of the hot seat as their parent was immediately immersed in plans and actions to "punish" the accusing teacher, staff, or peer. These parents created a monster out of their child. The majority of kids whose parents never held their child accountable for bad behavior later got to visit their grown adult child in prison for violent felonies. Your child must bear the brunt of their bad decisions or you will create yourself and society sociopath.
T CR I made sure my children were accountable for there actions .. accountability and kindness were very high on my agenda from tiny children.. but that teacher was wrong.. she should have handled it completely different. What she did was invite group physical abuse.. not a good thing to teach the other kids how to handle the situation either. I agree the bully should have been taught better social responses, how he felt when he wanted to lash out and a better way to react.. with planned consequences should he do it again. Children of this age are still learning.. a good time to do circle time and involve all the children.. get them to talk about feelings, ideas.. consequences.. lots of learning opportunities can be implemented. But inciting abuse is dreadful, she should have been trying to stop it..
@@tinamarisia123 that's how you should treat bullies by hitting them if you beat the crap out of them then they will not bully you anymore and they will know how it feels to be getting hit
T CR Hope him accountable, but do it correctly. She didn’t lose her job because of the kid. She lost her job because she went way too far with her discipline. She could’ve easily punished the kid without turning it into a huge situation. Talk to him, call his parents, send him home if necessary. Lining all 24 kids up to slap him twice was not the way to go.
I wonder how all the kids that he's ever bullied feels and how their parents feel you're getting just a little taste of what your kid has done to others

All parents should tell their kids that when someone says "Don't tell anyone" that is a clue that something is wrong and they should come home and tell tell parents immediately.
This looks bad on everyone involved. The teacher shouldn’t have done this. Kids should know to never hit another person. Parents should teach them that. Aidens mom should also discipline him for being a bully. I wonder if she has gotten complaints about her kid.
I don’t think the teacher did anything wrong and I’m a former teacher. I’ve seen bullies get upset with me and because they couldn’t hit me they proceeded to grab the student closet to them (unexpectedly to the victim child) and drag them out of their seat and across the room by their hair simply because they are a bully. They know that we are going to call their parents. They go home early and often times get rewarded with sweets, junk food, and electronics all to come back to school and do it again. The teacher may have saved that child’s life because everyone will meet their match and you don’t want to get a call that your child is in jail or has been killed because they put their hands on the wrong person. Teach your children to fight BACK and not allow a bully to put hit them and get away with it
@@princesst1149 that’s up to the parents of the victims … take the kids to martial arts and if a bully puts their hands on those kids then those kids can smack around the bully and the parents can claim they acted in self-defense. However, 6 is a little young for violence.
The students who were forced to hit him did nothing wrong; they were 5 or 6, and the grown up in charge was telling them to do this. Kids that age just know that if they don't listen to the grown up and do as they say, then they are "behaving naughty", and can get punished for "bad behavior". (And also, they are taught at this age that they should never trust their own judgment, because grown ups know a lot more than them. And to always trust the grown ups blindly, no matter what, or else they are misbehaving and will have to go to time-out.)
Also, with what this teacher was doing; that is extremely intimidating, and now the kids will DEFINITELY do as she says, no matter what, because they (for good reason) fear that they will be beaten up by the entire class if they "don't behave for the teacher".

I’m an adult on the spectrum. I was bullied a lot in school, especially grade school, and assuming the kid was in fact a bully, I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. What I mostly remember from school at that age was a feeling of bloodlust against bullies. I’m still uncomfortable around children, especially boys, due to my failure to empathize or connect with my peers at that age.
I dont get why ppl r siding with the tchr here. Yes kids of course need consequences for their actions but there r plenty of other ways to go about it. The punishment given was just freaking weird & crossing the line in my opinion
How can you except a 6 year old to make choices for himself? He probably had no clue what he was doing. He came out of the womb and a teacher is ordering 24 kids to cause bodily harm to him. Tf?
Its so dumb that there kinda making it seem like its his fault for being a "bully" they never once said why hes a bully tho and not to mention hes in kindergarten everyone was a bully in kindergarten 💀
Lyrical It's not normal for a CHILD to bully. Their parents are obviously stupid and can't raise them properly, this is just violence used against violence.
These comments are terrifying. That’s a six year old. He is smaller than the other kids in the video. How was he even a bully in the first place? Also even if he was a bully, the entire class hitting him and slapping him is a cruel and unusual punishment. He’s six. No six year old deserves to be beaten down by 23 other children, in which most of them being bigger than him.
Yeah, why doesn’t anyone else see this? This is not someone “bullying” to feel powerful or to hurt others, it’s a very young kid who’s brain isn’t developed.
It's wrong to order 24 students to hurt another one, no matter if that one student is a bully or not, it's not legitimate. It's wrong to bully. If this bullies others than he should be punished and be taught that what he does is bad, he shouldn't be hit by 24 students.
It’s infuriating that bullying is not taken nearly as seriously as it should be. The fact that the school punished the teacher for teaching the bully a lesson, instead of banning the bully himself, is just stupid and disgusting. Even after thousands of bullying reports each year, schools still refuse to do anything about it, even in college. If the schools won’t do it, then the government must do something to stop it. I do hope that this kid learned his lesson. Sure, the way the teacher made him regret bullying was not totally acceptable, but at least she did something.
Ummm, and mom just ignores the fact that her son has been labeled a bully? There must be a reason. I'm not defending what this teacher did but bullying harms far more than anyone can imagine. My 15 year old and 18 year old were both bullied and it's been a total nightmare bringing them out of it. 😢
This is an example of how adults completely ignore when kids are being bullied, yet when it’s the bully this time, it’s all of a sudden a whole investigation. This is ridiculous. It was the BULLY and the MOM that deserve the punishment. That teacher had every right to punish a kid for BULLYING. That’s what teachers are for. And the fact that the Mom had the audacity to act like her and her devil of a son are the victims of this is just disgusting…and don’t even get me started on how she said that she doesn’t want that teacher to be in a classroom ever again, like girl stfu, it’s YOU that should never be a Mom again, RIDICULOUS. As a victim of bullying at a very young age, this angers me. No one is concerned about why the teacher made every student hit him, sure it wasn’t the right way to handle it but at least she didn’t ignore it like every other teacher in existence.Whenever I told a teacher that a student was bullying me they did nothing. No one actually did anything about it until about 1 or 2 years later when miraculously a teacher actually noticed when they tripped me at lunch and they went to the principals office and admitted that this wasn’t the first time (and our parents got involved and made sure this never happened again and luckily it didn’t).
Crazy.
“zero tolerance policy for bullying” is code for “I don’t do anything to stop bullying”
Resorting to violence or revenge is absolutely out of the question. If you were a teacher you’d be out of a job and you are damaging a child for life!
@@deepvoicedkid2105 You are right. Silly me. Allow a student that is not your child to be physically assaulted and humiliated and open up a bunch of new traumatic doors. The fact there are people like you that think this right is horrifying.
You are clearly just resentful that you never received the help you needed and Im sorry your teachers didn’t do enough….. but condoning the humiliation and assault of a young child makes you no better than the bullies you hate so much.
The mom is the worst, this is happened to me one time when the principals son would non stop bully me every day. My dad had enough and just told me next time he bullied you just hit him. So I did that. I got detention and my dad had to come in, when I explained my situation to my dad he just smiled. The principal was mad and said that’s not how we deal with bully’s. My dad said “my kid is coming home crying non stop every day because YOUR child is bullying him. I love my dad
I then would tell him he, principal can't even teach his own kid right from wrong.
I mean, that's how I handled my bully when no one cared. Two of my classmates helped deal with that awful kid.
T CR i agree with your wise opinion

Lining all 24 kids up to slap him twice was not the way to go.

Edit: there was a little girl who was bullied and she had two black eyes a bloody nose and a busted mouth and the school just called it an accident
You are correct
They legit just made a schoolshooter
As someone who was bullied I can tell u that it doesn't work
Robert Kelly, ur absolutely right, it doesn’t work, when I was being bullied, my mum told me not to bother reporting to the school and enrolled me in mma and no one touched me again
How the heck are we going to teach our kids not to be nasty individuals in the future then? Kids need to know you cannot mess up with people just because, and if you do, there will be consequences.
The Mom's attitude says it all...guess who taught this kid to be a bully and.expect no consequences? Bravo to this awesome teacher!
Let's just say the bully's parents and the teacher both could've handled this a lot better.
The mother should understand that what the teacher did is the correct way to deal with bullies like her son or else any bullied person can be told to just stand up for themselves but the statement works the same as "If you're homeless just buy a house"
The principal is stupid for firing the teacher she did the right thing and the bully just acts like an angel to his mom so that he doesn't get in trouble smh
The spoopy attic man lol the principle was correct.. you do not incite violence from a whole class.. how would you feel to be hit twice from all your co workers.. it is abuse and abuse is wrong.
That teacher should have done some circle time, roll. Play , brainstorming about how it feels to hurt someone, why we might want to and how it feels to be the recipient.. they could make consequences be set I could go on for ages..
A teacher should know how to handle this situation.
@Albirdzbro J He DOES KNOW what bullying does.
@@owo1744 At 6 years old. All bullied would do is call you 'stupid' or 'ugly' and maybe push you once or twice. But to tell multiple children to HIT the kid as hard as they can that is just cold.
Wilhelm Stenvall you told someone to go and hang them selves and you’re the one talking about “he does know what bullying does”? Well I will tell you first hand that I was bullied most of my childhood and early adolescent years and I still to this day would never tell anyone to go and gang them-self. You need counselling and I don’t say that lightly.
w teacher deserves a prize. not correcting him at all ends up with him being the kid with a switchblade waiting for a kid to get out of school. he was being enabled that hurting people giving him joy was a good thing and he was allowed to. its always the victims who get punished and the bully coddled. she wasint letting it happen
This kid is 6. He needs counseling and removed from the other students not a smackdown. Your just teaching kids that vilance is a good way to solve your problems. The teacher needs her teaching licence taken and charged with assault on a minor. The mother needs to be held accountable for her child's actions probaby in the form of parenting classes and counseling. This kid is now 17. I hope he got his life straightened out.
Oh but what if his victims got trauma from his bullying. Heck they could’ve even committed suicide since bullying can go that far from trauma
