I had a polar 430 for 5 years!! with in I did 15 half marathons and 3 full marathons....plus 6000kms, it was an excellent, very reliable machine, now I have a polar peacer pro and it is a great machine...it is not the watch that runs, it is the athlete
Years ago when I try to run my wife got me polar vantage v , always loved polar app but gps was rubbish , year later my 2 attempts to run October 2022 I got Garmin 55 because was cheap and I didn’t know if I will stick to running and because polar didn’t done much over years in my opinion. Upgraded to Garmin 255 it’s a beast for money again in my humble opinion
Is the strap robust? The strap design on the 30 / 35 was terrible - breaks, replace with cheap knock off strap via ebay, breaks ..... Eventually the plastic bits the straps mount on, on the watch body break .... Makes me very wary of buying another Garmin.
According to many reviews of the Pacer Pro I saw on TH-cam it has one of the best wrist-based heartrate sensors of any watch out there, except 1 or 2 bpm even on par with chest-straps. 😉 I absolutely agree with your criticism about the display. Polar is "slightly" behind the moon here and lost the connection to modern reality - I mean... you get a smartwatch with GPS, heartrate monitor, SpO2-sensor(!), TFT touchscreen and akku-runtime up to 38 days(!) from Lidl for € 64.99. Time to wake up, Polar! 🤭
Was always a fan of Polar but I have now upgraded to the Garmin Epix Gen2 for the bright screen, as I’m getting on a bit it helps with my eyesight 👍🤣🏃🏻♂️❤️
@@FordyRuns love it, with the always on mode I am having to charge it once a week but for the quality of the screen I’m happy to do that. Still has great battery life for activities so no issue there.
POLAR lacks seriously of more frequent updates and new features added. Jeez the pacer and pro don’t even came with a rep counter for gym workouts. There’s no way this watch is worth more Thant 200$

I like the battery life , can you expand on that a bit . How long does it last would be handy information
I wish I had a mate like you that dished out loads of new free running stash to test 😂
Like to Fordy. Thanks for this information about the Polar pacer pro. A nice day for everyone. 🌞🏃⌚
thank you
Huawei Watch GT Runner - simply amazing and super accurate
it has the strava functionality and always on display? thanks
How long does it take to lock on?
30 secs, maybe a minute, I could live with - do some warm ups
But if its several minutes - that's not acceptable

pacer described by one word: disapointment
