Welcome to part 7 of the LS Swap in my 1997 Lexus LX450. As you can see, I've made some decent headway! It runs and drives now, although its far from ready for the road. In this video I cover the issues I had with the fuel injectors, as well as the new fuel feed system, the issues I had with the passenger side exhaust manifold, and the exhaust I've crudely built that'll likely need some massaging. I also talk about what is left, which isn't everything. This is a massive project but I finally feel like I'm over the hump!
If you haven't seen the other videos, I start out from the beginning, and list every single thing I've done in this swap. I'm compiling a list of part numbers, interchanges and places to buy everything you need to inexpensively swap your land cruiser.
    Thanks for watching!

Is this your home garage? If so I am seriously jealous. I wonder if I can talk my wife into a lift for each parking spot. Maybe even just every other...

Great video. I just bought a 1996 LX450, the engine has 237,000 miles, so I'd really like to consider an LS swap. I'm leaning towards an LQ4 or LQ9, with a 4L80E. What I'm worried about is the wiring. Are there any resources you can recommend? I was going to use Mark's Adaptors for the transfer case, and other odds and ends. But getting the wiring harnesses to talk to each other seems very daunting. Thanks for any pointers you can give.

The Toyota engine was more reliable

jorge campos I would tend to argue with you. The 1fz’s are plagued with head gasket issues. Mine had the head gasket done but likely overheated enough when it blew that it compromised the rings and thus it burned oil like a 2 stroke. 5.3’s from this generation are pretty impervious to all forms of abuse

When it comes to a real engines the GM v8 Superior to all with endless upgrades something Toyota wishes they had but that will mess with the reliability meaning no horsepower meaning not a real car or truck hence Toyota only makes appliances they're disposable If their engines are so reliable why havent I've ever seen a Toyota engine in a Chevy maybe some communist backwards country (were Toyota belongs)like Cuba but not in the free world (Free Cuba)
