The lyrics deserve some serious attention. I am a man with strong regrets I followed great deceivers Believed in headless leaders They played their game, true sons of Cain But I was a hopeless dreamer With my head deep in the clouds
The two great Bands from Greece : SepticFlesh and Rotting Christ. This Mexico Performance is Mindblowing, like the whole Concert.....so next you have to see SATYRICON : MOTHER NORTH (Live with Choir and full Orchestra) !!!
How absolutely brilliant was it that towards the latter end of the song they had the low strings essentially grinding their bows into the strings to create that progressively aggressive swell of quarter notes. Out flipping standing. Don't know what it is about metal bands from Greece... But they have such a music kalaty to them. There's an old school band called ancient rites from Greece that we're adding a great deal of intricacy to their black metal back in the day. Grease must just be quite a musically involved culture, considering their roots go back so far. Yes... You know what I'm going to say... Celtic Frost, official video, " A Dying God Coming Into Human Flesh."
I met you because of The Warning, but what a coincidence to find you also react to septicflesh. If you liked the audience interaction with the band at this concert, watch and react to Anubis (from this same concert), you won't regret it. Septicflesh is the closest thing to really great music right now.
First-time viewer, gotta say I'm enjoying your enthusiasm! FYI, check out the song "Communion" on this set. MOST of the orchestra and choir stay pretty straight-faced, or they bob their heads in time at most. BUT there's one woman in the choir (she will be in the upper left-hand corner) has her face in a "grrr" metal snarl as she sings. Awesome! 100+ piece orchestra. I've avoided this band for years for their name alone (not a fan of that!) and I just wasn't into what little I heard of theirs a while back (I think it was late '90s). Then I stumbled across the full-length version of this show. All of this is the guitarist's composition! And while they obviously don't tour with an orchestra, this IS their current sound anyway to use classical instruments. Now I'm not only a fan, but I'm torn between buying the live set vs. 2 individual CDs 'Communion' and 'Codex Omega'!
even tho iam a greek metal head for 30 years i dont like that band at all but i saw them 2 times live and the quality of their sound is TOP,no matching with any other famous band i saw like maiden metallica slayer black sabbath.but i dont like their music lol
What's the definition of black metal? I always thought the focus was its dark and/or moody content, often covering cautionary tales or dystopian content? Seems pretty dark to me.

I am a man with strong regrets
I followed great deceivers
Believed in headless leaders
They played their game, true sons of Cain
But I was a hopeless dreamer
With my head deep in the clouds
Yup.
And note the orchestra carries the main riff, the guitars are just Rhythm ...Christos is a genius.
4 or 5 years ago I listened to septicflesh for the first time and it broke my head, tremendous band. Greetings from Argentina

Damn fucking right, i feel like many people know of SepticFlesh, but Rotting Christ is criminally overlooked.
@@vavra222 Sakis' solo album is just superb, and Bernardo Fotis (ex SF) does the drums on it.

Septic Flash this is not a black metal band
they start as death metal band and they turned to a symphonic black metal band.
