@Quadir Lovell dude I work as a graphic designer all making nearly 20 bucks an hour, ive worked for almost 2 years as a cook in a restaurant, ive worked as a cashier and i do freelance graphic design work when i have time. Ive compelted two years of architecture studies and im about to go into my third year. I did the first two in france and my third will be in czexh republic. My parents live in canada and when i was with them i had a decent set up, I built my own desk abd basically rebuilt my whole room with my dads help, we tore it down and redid all the framing and roofing and shit. I could easily have a nice setup but im travelling too much, I rent rooms for my stydies and i cant modify or make them how i want, i usually have a shitty small desk and a bed and a wardrobe and thats all. When I buy my iwn house aftet my studies, thats when ill really be able to enjoy a beautiful setup all on my own terms beautifully done, and one day as an architect when i build my own house it will be even more of an amazing setup as I will have literally designed a perfect space for it from the ground up. But right noe as a 2nd year student that flies 4 times a year I dont have the chance or opportunity to put my talent to the use and make a set up like this. I also probably will never have the peace and quiet I did to just play games as when i was youbger but ill definitively find the time

Especially given that he's 15 and this is first job most likely. Congrats to both of you though. You for doing so much with your life and him for actually saving his money for something important. First thing I saved for after my first job was a car. I thought some of the jobs I did was impressive out of high school;worked on almost every kind of boat imaginable (including 30 mil yachts)and have experience in basically every trade. However designing your own house, not just for your gaming rig of course. That's pretty cool. I wish you great success and many cool house designs in the future. Being an architect is certainly a creative job with many possibilities for a creative mind.

I just upgraded my Ryzen 1600x to a ryzen 3600 and used the prism cooler because it's just a better cooler
People who have Ryzen 7 and get aftermarket coolers sell their prism coolers for like $10, worth it imo.

When I seen that setup I was like this is both a under kill and overkill setup at the same time. What was it even built for type of thing lol you either go all out high end or stay a mid range. 32 GB RAM had me face palming too because is that not more than needed for that kind of setup? I feel like 8-16GB would've done him just fine.

I have never wanted to participate in any sort of setup rate before but I never seen your setup rate videos. Now I really want to do it. The banter is brilliant. Love the style.

Literally every friend's setup for every PC I lovingly assembled for them, complete with anal retentive cable management.
Build them a smart, pretty $1300 box, watch them come back from Best Buy with a $120 display and a free desk they found on Craigs, and ask if you got a spare headset or keyboard.
Yeah, It's that type of stuff that I learned early on, don't put any serious effort into buying people gifts unless they are loved ones or close family. It's impossible to expect people to care about gifts they got for free.

to solve the neck strain of the standard 3 monitor pyramid, try instead, the inverted 3 monitor pyramid, this allows you to have a more natural centered main monitor yet still have the two auxiliary monitors in a reasonable viewing angle.

I've been on a two monitor system for a decade now, largely due to work, and I tend to focus on my right monitor. The left monitor is for emails, 3ds max menus and render previews, and youtube.

The reason for the 3 monitor set up is so that when he's 3D modeling/rendering he can use multiple screens for different things. ( One to show reference art, another to show the modeling program, the third if maybe he has a setting or color pallet window open. If I were running a 3 monitor set up like that I would have a custom desk where the monitors sit just a bit lower than the desk so I'm not craning my neck like you said.
