    "They appear to be in pain by the look of this guy's face..." LMAO, love it! Just love this "series" of videos you are doing. Brings back a lot of memories. Thank you my friend!

    Really great HW castings for 1981. '31 Doozy, A-OK, '37 Bugatti and Auburn 852 are beautiful castings i'd love to see coming back. Cannonade , Dodge Mirada Stocker and Space Van are pretty cool as well. Thanks for the excellent presentation!

    Nice group. I like the fact you explain each casting, variants, and prices. I'll never afford to go back in time for all these. I had all the Marvel cars as a kid, but like most they are gone.

    As a child I took a pair of needle-nose pliers. Tried unsuccessfully to bend the grill up wards on that loosely based DeLorean one. I'm not sure what I was thinking but I was expecting to see a DMC emblem hidden underneath 😁

    A billionaire bought Delorean and has updated the look and will be hitting the market again, if not already!
    This car has a special spot in my heart being a Canadian!

    Apparently the
    Turismo was based on a Delorean prototype but the designer had to change around the casting quickly (might be due to the licencing deal falling out), that explains the odd design choices.

    I have a 31 "Doozie" it's not an older release, but it has "1976" on the base. This one doesn't say "Doozie" on the base, it's burgandy flake with blac fenders and black hood, there's a tiny white Hotwheels tampo on the passenger side spare wheel cover. It's a Malaysia car and has spoke wheels. Not sure how old it is.

    Hey wtffor, just curious what the status is of your 1982 hot wheels video; can't wait to see it. Also, do you know if the black stutz had any different pinstripe versions/releases?

    • @wtffor
      @wtffor  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question! The 1982 video is almost complete and will be uploaded this week - it took a while to film as there are so many cars released that year, including the black stutz. I only know of the one tampo for the black painted version.

      I have one with a blue dominate pinstripe and one with a white dominant pinstripe but maybe it's just a mess up or something but they definitely look different. They both have identical Malaysia bases but the rivets look a little different between the two. Have you ever seen this? I'd love to be able to send you a pic and get your thoughts.

    Hi and thanks for the Great Video! I Might have one Variation of the '31 Doozie you ain't got. I found this at a yard sale this summer. It is the 1981, Yellow tampo, Green on green but dont have a country on the base. Not Hong kong or Malaysia. Do you have an Idea of where it comes from? Thanks

    • @wtffor
      @wtffor  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those cars likely were made and sold in Macau, and yes the yellow side tampo is the difficult variation to find. What condition is yours in? Any thoughts on selling it, I would be interested. Thanks for watching, and your comment!

    The only relatively rare one I have from this lot is the black interior turismo. Turns out I had 3 of the Porsche with blackwalls. Not the rarer version. I got all but 1 in a large lot and the other was the first I found.

    Well, I'm confused. I have a Hot Wheel jeep that says it was made in 1981 but its not apart of the 1981 run. Its lime green with a yellow star on the hood with a dark green design below it that says JEEP. Anyone know where this comes from?

    • @wtffor
      @wtffor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a Color Racer (color changing) Jeep released in around 1990 to 1992. It may be locked in one color now, as often these do that over the years. I have a few as well!

    • @wtffor

      Keen eye! Hong Kong base Omni 024 was in correctly displayed with it's Malaysia base 1982 cousin, and the Airport Rescue was on the top shelf since it doesn't fit in the Plano cases, and, was overlooked. Both will appear in the 1982 video as an "amendment".

      Didn't the Red Line bodies have zinc mixed in to compliment the Spectraflame paint finish?
      How are the tampos set on these cars, by hand?
      This is the go to sight for Hot Wheel info in my opinion.
      Thanks for all the in depth info, and just looking at these cars, which are miniature works of art, is great! I've spent hours upon hours here, and it brings back such awesome childhood memories of my late brother and I spending hours in our room, or the back yard playing, and warring over these awesome cars!
      I started collecting about 25 years ago, but got into much more after I lost my brother in 2004 from cancer. He was just 45.
      Thanks so much brother
