Nissan 300ZX, Road Torch, Thunder Burner and the Work Horses are probably my most favorites shown here. The Renaults at the end are Renault 5 by the way. I remember buying the blue France Le Car new; it was NOT in a package, loose, and sold at a second tier retailer, maybe BiWay? They had a few of these loose France Hot Wheels, and I bought one of each. Even then, I knew they were weird variations, and haven’t seen many since. Still have mine too!
The ZZ 3 window is a replica of the rock group ZZ-Top car in the videos for the record Eliminator. Ugh in 1987 I was just in high school so hot wheels weren't on my mind....real wheels were. It's a BUMMER what I missed out on. I love the "donks" or wth they are called? The 4x4. Monster Vette models are AMAZING. I've looked for them at a decent price and rare see em. The Ford Bronco 4x4 is awesome and the Chevy Blazer 4x4....... WOW. And Highway Hauler is awsome too. Wow I also didn't know Evil Weevil, Zoombot, and Shark Cruiser were out in 87. Considering I just saw them again in 2017.

I've been trying to find info on my vintage HK original Olive Custom Volkswagen in fair to good condition with some chipping. I know the US Olive CVW are hard to find, but the HK CVW are rare. What can you tell me about it OD? Any idea of the value, which I could send shots, but I'm just interested in getting a clearer understanding of the rarity more than value. I have some of my most cherished memories spending hours with my late brother Jim in our large bedroom in Toronto, and the very best heart warming memories around this time of year, because Christmas was very special at our home, my parents showered the Christmas tree with loads and loads of die cast, the 12" G I Joes and loads of the huge vehicles, helicopters, boats, mobile command vehicles - the 12" Cowboys and Indian sets with horses, rifles, revolvers, tac for the horses etc etc If God gave me the chance to relive one month of my past it would hands down be December 67 or 68 !! My granddfather moved in with us in the early 60s from England and he brought a huge suitcase full of die cast cars and truck, Corgi, Dinky, Lesney, and Matchbox mostly, he passes on his love of die cast to my brother and I. I bought the exact Turbo Trax set which had the Camaro and Testarossa in it at a Value Village thrift store a few years ago. As far as I can tell, no track pieces were missing but, alas, the set was sans cars. I did also find that white #75 Testarossa in a toy car grab bag at Value Village, so it either was sold in Canada or it belonged to somebody who got it overseas and brought it to Canada (which happens sometimes, I got a German-exclusive Matchbox police Mercedes from another Value Village bag).
When I was maybe 7 years old in 1988, I got a yellow Hot Wheels ramp Truck with a crackup front grill similar to the dump truck shown in this video. The truck had a Malaysian base with a 1986 copyright. Later versions of the ramp tru would have an intact grill without the crackup feature.

I have bought a Hot Wheels Wild Wave stunt set and is still sealed, one of the cars (the Woodie) on the table is in that set to! The set is from 1987 if i'm right. I hope to find some nice cars from the 80's on my future hunts! I bought a CrackUp as well, the yellow one and still is a good condition, everything still works :D Such a nice hobby, al those memories come back since i started this :D Have a nice day!
Hi, I remember my buddy and i dressing as ZZTop for Halloween in 1986 and during the same week buying that Hot Wheels Vehicle so i know it must have been a early '87 release .......btw do you collect errors and is that something you might do ? I have a small collection of HW factory hand painted 'errors' that where fixed by hand painting i.e 2011 Yellow c6 vette w/hand painted tailights & the black 67 camaro (something muscle) w green side flames and windshield ,where they hand painted the hood. :)

Yep, that is the ZZ Top Eliminator Coupe. It's well-collected and known about, and it had a smaller production run. It might have been a promo before promos were even a thing.

im one o those odd ones i like the odd detail n stuff about hot wheels but in some cases slightly more obsessive i spose . went thru all the comments and there is no mention of the woodies "issue" now im not an error collector per se i do not seek them they seek me all the way to garage sales and value village cars so ive amassed a few and also learned alot about them i know all my carded ones are reals because i plucked em my self . i digress after two decades of mostly solid collecting sadly very little in the latter ten ... one of my most liked errors has become casting flaws . that woodie just tickles me to see such a bad cast hard to believe that left the factory or even made it in to a blister ! id say that one has to be a fair bit "rare-er" than any other you find of that exact year . noticed over a year ago when i first saw this vid , commenting because i cant believe no-one has noticed ! .

You know, the 1957 Chevy Bel Air is one of the OLDEST Hot Wheels car. It's 42 years old despite the retool. Amazing collection by the way!
