Mopar swap gen 3 get rid of LS I think a Mopar would suit the international so much more and rid of those horrendous wheels they're taking away from the character. I believe some steelies with some 60 series tires and a Gen 3 Hemi N/A would be the cats meow
@@clevelandmaker386 that’s why we call it Johnnie Rev. it’s absolutely insane what International did in the 70s…. You also have a Comanche with native glyphs down the side
About a month ago, I was at a rest stop on I-85, south of Atlanta. There was a lady there walking a Great Pyrenees. (BIG DOG!) Huh. That was the same as breed as Jared's. Uh, wait a moment. Wasn't there a white Escalade near by?
Dwayne, on the picture; I cannot imagine a better setting for a picture portrait of Jared! Definitely in his environment! Good times, Dwayne, glad you are along! The hard part is just when you think you are THIS CLOSE to being able to drive your project something else rears its ugly head. I'm an electric fan not running and a steering ram replacement away (but mostly the fan) from hitting the road but my sequential turn signals (original unit) decided to give me a fit. I think I'm going to go solid state if I can't get it freed up (when it works it very VERY slowly cycles) It's the signature part of owning a Cougar so I want them to work properly.
30:24 I would like to see how the weight bias changes when you get in the truck. I thought that was why you had the camera on the indicator for the scales. 😅 🎥 ⚖️
Definately one of my most favorite build, the frame really needs some rust inhibitor and some paint, and it would be so mint, Absolutely love this truck man
Jared, just a thought to save you some potential wiring gremlins in the future. Not sure if you did it yet or not, but take some small vacuum or small diameter fuel line an slice it down the middle. Then place it around the hole in the firewall to prevent wire abrasion. Just a thought to prevent future issues
Jared...I saw the Coyote engine in the background that says Coyote Duster on the engine cover...that's just awesome! Chrysler purists are going to go INSANE, but I love it!
You should build a front slash guard that way you'll prevent it from getting wet again cuz there's a pretty big space under the engine and especially in the front. I would build a bottom plate and try to get everything as flat as possible like those NASCAR trucks 😉. I know that would be a whole lot of work and planning for that as well since your truck is a nice classic 1 and they're pretty rear as well like u said. I would love to have a truck like your Ute cuz I really don't like big trucks I'm more of a small truck lol
This reminds me so much of my F100. Not quite as modern, but Crown Vic front, Explorer rear axle, Holley Sniper, Vintage Air. Running a mildly hopped up 347 stroker. I love a ratty hot rod truck.
Awesome video Jared, and yes Dwayne, that was an amazing shoot, Jared you should try racing scraplife Lee’s srt 10 viper/hellcat swap truck, it would be very interesting!!!!!
As a former woodworker turned hoarder, I'm appalled by the hand plane sitting in the back of the truck. Could be an interesting collaboration to get it restored.
Whenever i put engines outside, i put them in oil. Cheap synthetic oil. Pop the engine in the bin, pour and rotate it several times and pop the cover over. I've some engine blocks that were out in the mid 90's, still waiting for the right time, no rust on them whatsoever, they look like they've been machined yesterday. Given how cheap it is, there's no point in not doing it.
You’ll probably get the AC free or heavily discounted being a TH-camr but if you’re paying out of pocket. ECC Auto Shop out of Florida had the best prices I’ve found. 600 bucks for EVERYTHING but the compressor bracket to mount the compressor to the engine and belt. It includes sanden compressor, drier lines all of it but the engine bracket. I love mine and I been telling everyone. It’s half price of vintage air IF you’re paying out of pocket
I am hoping for a win. Got back to work on my MK IV 12v with some vicarious moral support through your channel to find out that the piston rings never seated when I rebuilt the engine, so having to start from bare block once again. I was hoping I wouldnt have to, but I do.
Sorry to hear that! Double check what you use as your ring oil during assembly, make sure it isn’t assembly lube as that will keep the rings from ever setting(learned that on a evo x engine!)

Johnny ALL REVVED UP! It's about time he came back to life.
Yes, Editor Duane, it actually is a very cool shot. There were quite a few this episode.
Yes Duane, his head up in there is a cool shot.
The time lapse with James back had me scratching my head for a few seconds....
The truck is awesome. It could use a little exterior upgrade with a spray on bed liner
I'm trying to get amd to start doing coronet parts. It might be classic industries who also might be doing corvair parts.

Glad to see Johnny Reb back on the road. Are you going to tell us why you sold the dually?
And like any Corvette why don't you have independent rear suspension
Nice to see that truck back Jared!
Why did you get rid of the dually?!
I thought that LS was supposed to go back to J&J along with the coyote? Got a project for the coyote too ?
Hoping you do 4 link in the rear, and is that a brick for a house that sits close to the engine???? Regards sören
So what water pump did you end up using? Something specialized from Summit?
