  • I forgot to put the parts numbers for those vacuum lines in the video so if anybody needs those parts for their own Jeep, I'll leave an Amazon Link to where you can buy them down below.
The more I work on this Cherokee the more I enjoy fixing them because for the most part everything is fairly easy to get to and if it needs replacing; parts are fairly cheap. Hope you guys enjoy the video and thanks again to everyone for all the support you've given me on this project so far.
HERE ARE THE AMAZON LINKS FOR THE VACUUM LINES USED IN THIS VIDEO:

Enjoyed the ride, you live in a beautiful parts of the USA. Hope your dog got to ride along. The improved sound of the motor was a great improvement once you got the vacuum hoses repaired.

We sure do! Scout gets plenty of ride alongs, but I don’t want him getting hair all over the Jeep. I just detailed the whole thing🤣. It’s running so great now. All it needed was a little TLC just like a lot of the project I drag home

Channel seems to be growing over 3000 subs well done mate nice work replacing the vacuum line and like others said double check that transmission fluid when warm.

It sure is! Thank you so much for being a faithful subscriber/viewer all these years! I can’t imagine why someone would try to plug up those vacuum lines with sheet metal screws (maybe to gain 1/2 horsepower🤣). And I’ll double check that transmission fluid to make sure everything is squared away👍

Great job with the electrical diagnosis Cody! 😁👍 Look at you, up to *3K subs!!* 🥳 Congratulations my friend! Keep at it and you'll be at 10K in no time. Happy wrenching 🔧🔩

Thanks Zane! I’m glad I didn’t have to rip into the wiring harness under the steering column. That would’ve been worst case scenario. Ya, I can’t believe I’m at 3,000k subs! I’m so thankful for you sticking with me all these years. This Jeep is almost finished, and I’ll get back to wrenching on that Powerstroke of mine👍

Thank you for yet another great video! Nice sleuthing on the electrical issues, too. One concern I have though is that you checked the trans fluid with the engine off. Dip stick has procedure written on it. Usually says hot, level and in park. Cold and not running will show low when it really isn't. If overfilled it can damage transmission. Looking forward to the future installments for sure.

Thank you! I’m just glad I didn’t have to tear apart the steering column to replace a wiring harness of some sort. That would’ve taken forever and cost ten time more! I appreciate how simple these Jeeps are to wrench on. Also thank you for the advice on the transmission, I’ll check that with the engine running soon. I noticed when I was crawling under the Jeep off camera the transmission pan had a few drops leaking off the pan. My guess is it’s had a long time to ever so slowly leak out after sitting in a field for almost a decade. Next video on it should be up soon! Thanks for watching James enjoy the rest of the weekend😀👍

Great to hear from ya James!😀👍. Ya even though it’s a desert it’s still a nice valley. We got a few more hills than you’ve got in Texas🤣. I appreciate it man this Jeep really is coming together

As James Wallace noted, always check trans fluid with the engine running. A lot of electrical issues crop up not because of failed parts, but failed connections. Corrosion deposits are non conductive and when a ground connection goes bad, you get all kinds of goofy things happening. Sometimes just chasing the wires to power and ground and cleaning connections will save a lot of trouble and parts chasing..

I agree, I’m going to double check with the engine running next time. Ya those connections I guess where simply corroded beyond repair. I’m just glad it was a cheap fix and didn’t have to dive into the steering column wiring.

I have noticed that when you have JEEP in your subject, the views shoot up. At least that’s what I observe on the view count. I posted a short which I was planning to use as a clip in a longer video. It was a Jeepster. I had over 1700 views within 2 hours. Folks just live Jeeps.
I noticed a bit of shine on the tires and maybe a bit of burgundy shine. Are you holding out on the cleanup?

That really interesting! I guess it’s one of those words the TH-cam algorithm really likes. I also found out over time that TH-cam shorts seems to go a lot farther in views than regular videos. I’ve heard TH-cam is trying to compete with tik tok. I hate to break it to ya, but I already restored the interior without filming it😬🤦🏼‍♂️. I will however throw in a few before and after shots and do a walk around when the time comes. Thanks for watching Mr. Randall! Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend👍
