  • The Women in Leadership Speaker Series showcases the inspiring careers of highly successful and influential women and provides the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with students and alumni. The series is made possible by the URIFAE and the Women’s Leadership Council.
    As the director of international cooperation for the NAVSEA Warfare Centers (WFC), Trevor Kelly-Bissonnette provides leadership and oversight of the WFC’s international and security assistance programs and provides coordination for international activities.
    Prior to this post, Kelly-Bissonnette was the technical director/program manager for the NATO Naval Forces Sensor and Weapon Accuracy Check Sites (FORACS) project, a multi-national NATO project with three Naval test ranges operating in Greece, Norway, and one affiliated in the U.S., and of a project office located at NATO Headquarters in Brussels.
    Prior to the NATO post, Kelly-Bissonnette was head of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Customer Advocacy Organization (CAO). She represented the U.S. Navy as the sea combat reliance tri-service lead and was the national and international customer advocate for NAVSEA USW Major Range and Test Facility Bases, NUWC Acoustic Facilities, and T&E investments.
    Prior to that, Kelly-Bissonnette headed the development of the Multiplexed Extended Sensor Array (MESA). She joined the Naval Undersea Systems Center in 1982 as advanced capability (ADCAP) weapon/launcher and platform integration engineer.
    Kelly-Bissonnette holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics and an M.B.A. from URI. She also has her certification from the Navy Post Graduate School in advanced acquisition program management, and Level III certifications in systems engineering and T&E.
