- Needed a device to monitor glucose and total cholesterol between my labs. This device can measure 4:
Glucose (for diabetes)
Cholesterol (total only, need lab for detailed)
Hemoglobin (if Glucose is high, you should check this one too)
Uric Acid
The kit comes with 10 strips each.
When comparing to my lab results it seems to be accurate enough to be within the range. When used back to back it shows very similar results. Comparing to Freestyle Lite device it shows lower but Freestyle tends to report higher than average per tests done by Consumer Reports. This device also uses more blood than the Freestyle.
For accurate results make sure to match the strip code, wash your hands, and consider the meal times.
First time use: after inserting the strip, adjust the code using the top left button until it matches what is on the bottle. The device will remember the code for consecutive testing. Each test type had its own code. e.g. if I insert glucose strip the device will show BG and the strip code on the screen. Cholesterol strip will display CHO and its own code...

I been using this machine to keep a eye on my cholesterol. I use walk in labs sometimes also . It seems to be pretty accurate with my lab results. One day I will stop watching the numbers go up and try to eat healthier. 😂

Ok. And what do you want to say? Do you recommend it or no? I have it and it indicate glucose not accurate (+ 10...30%). It not good for me.
The difference is between another device and this one. Not with the lab. Meaning, it could be accurate. I am still happily using it, I even ordered extra strips. I will compare withy next lab results in couple months.
There are many things that can cause blood sugar levels to spike. Test kits allow you to track the levels before/after and in between over a few days/weeks. You might find for yourself what to avoid for example.
Can I used this method at sugar glucose tester too? or I need a different tester for cholesterol only?
Does the freestyle lite measures your cholestrol levels as well?
Only the total, not the breakdown like LDL/HDL/Triglycerides. This helps monitoring your current situation, not necessarily for diagnosis.

Do u know how to change the unit?
My machine arrived, and I have attempted many times to set date and time, etc. Followed instructions to the T, yet when I exit and press the "M" button, then reopen the dates, etc, have reverted back to factory settings. I'm so frustrated. Anyone who can assist with this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
I am facing the same issue here... I set the date and time and when i restart the date goes back to factory setting! Any luck yet?

How's the comparison with the lab result? Mind to share the deviation %?
For me, it is close enough to make an overall assessment (+/- 5 glucose, +/- 10 total cholesterol). For exame if the device shows < 100 for glucose, it is the same for lab and that's the number I don't want to cross.
How to change from mmol to mg/dl ?
Good question. I asked this to their support. Let's see if they answer. Mine shows mg/dL not mmol. But I cannot change it either. Maybe a dipswitch setting in the device or a programming through USB? Because settings mode only allows update of date/time.
I am so disappointed. I bought it for cholesterol and uric acid. I have now wasted 5 strips already. I get no result. Only got a result for glucose, which is not what i am looking for.
Do not buy this toy. Tested on different patients. The device lies very much!
Right ! my hemoglobin is 6 with this device, I checked it with the laboratory and I have 12.7 it's crazy
I think you have tested wrongly. First clean finger with alcohol swap, then press on finger to get blood. Then clean this blood with tissue and then draw blood again and then use this for the test. If u check on benecheck cholesterol test machine this is how they do it. Hope this helps.
