If I remember correctly the reason they did the leg change in alien isolation was because that was the original concept for how the alien legs would look but they just couldn't do it with the special effects of the time.
I bought a ticket to see AR on my own Aug 15, then tickets for myself and my sister on the 16th. I wish I'd seen these covers maybe 9 months ago when I was designing 3d stl models but now I have a reason to revamp the closer of the two I made and start firing up the 3D printers overtime for a full size xeno!
@@tybiahharrison5187 BET!! now I've heard hints a queen might be involved with this film so having a Preatorian Guard Xeno would explain the unusual size of this baddie

If it's Chap, he does look more stylized, like the way Todd Macfarline does the NECA figs. I noticed in all the shots his arms seem to be fused or tied to him
These are 2 different aliens.... one has sharp fangs and one has metallic teeth that look closer to a human's. I'm wondering if Big Chap is in this movie also.
I already knew it was going to be a smooth head but I really miss the ridges from Aliens It's almost like he combined both of the xenomorphs together from Alien and Aliens
The original had a ridged head but was covered with the smooth dome. The smooth dome was removed from Aliens. So similar to the original in design and the best version.
Headcannon is that the head ridges develop with age. The Alien in the first film was only a day old and freshly molted, the ones in Aliens were weeks old and mature.
Source please? This does not, in my view, provide reason for the missing dome in Aliens. I would argue it was artistic choice of Cameron. The ridges were always present under the dome in ALIEN. You only need to goggle images from both films to see ridges under a dome in Alien and ridges with no dome in Aliens.
@madsquirrelmods3035 My understanding is that this has been distinguished in video games and not original material and therefore not entirely credible in my view.
@@lukereeve9658 James Cameron removed it cause it was too fragile for the action scene, and in Alien it's not just a ridged head it's an entire skull with eyes and a nose. I mean, all the details are cool. The lights. The shapes. The colors. Everything. The one thing I’m worried about and curious to see how turns out is the storyline. 🤔🥴

These cliché exaggerated sharp teeth lack the nuances of an actual living creature, this makes it comparable to an action figure or a simple puppet. The only update to the design that was really impressive was in Alien 3. The alien had very defined lips in A3, and teeth that looked realistically arranged, none of the awkwardness of these new incarnations. Translucent gums, really? It's terrible let's face it. It's not terrible bro don't be overdramatic, yes it's not as good as the Alien in the first one but it's as good as the xeno in Aliens (the team who designed and made the xeno in the second one is the exact same as in this new movie)
The alien looks pretty cool. But it’s all down to how it’s portrayed in the movie. They’re taking the right approach with a real suit and puppets. Wouldn’t worry about the age of the characters either. Cailee Spaeny is around 26 or something. Sigourney weaver and Veronica Cartwright were about 28 to 29 when they made alien. Jenette Goldstein was about 26 when she made Aliens, So not much difference in the leads. Some of the new cast may be a bit younger than that. It’s all down to how well they’re written than their age. Let’s see the film first 👍 then we can say if it’s good or bad. ❤️
i'm just happy that it looks biomechanical again.

interesting how the tendons that connect the jaws have a more translucent look to them compared to all the predecessors
Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned more, possibly the most striking change in the design for me
I wonder if they used all the condoms up in town again making that! Thats apparently how they did the tendons in the original Alien.
It kinda looks like it's missing skin.Jus tendons...reason it's always drooling
Boy the this Xenomorph alien is big for its size and like it
Was gonna say it looks jacked
Got godzilla plates on his back 😂
Excited!
That neck guard, shoulder, collar bone area looks like it’s evolved for Omni movement from the head
