Nice info but your video never shows the removal or proper replacement or location of the most important part, the gears. Got mine apart now hoping I get the gears out without damaging anything else and get install likewise.
The needle, at least in my case, didn't "pop right off". The shaft that extends from the drive has a knurled end that the needle is pressed on to. The seat in the needled cracked and I had to use super glue to hold the needle on when I reassembled mine.
Hey Stan my speedometer works and my tachometer works but my odometer don't work and my speedometer is off a little bit. Do I need a new gear or do I need a whole new odometer speedometer and tachometer
By the way I think that you would be happy to know that I've already fixed several things on my car with help from this channel. PCV valve and I believe an Idle Air Control valve. Your channel is really full of great knowledge

Yes it is. It’s nice to be able to fix issues. That’s why I love older cars. These new ones are to Electronic for me!
