Honestly my beardie doesn't even like to be held he will come to me but that's it it took 6 months for him to let me touch him ...he comes for his daily head stroke and listens intently to me talking to him ...but try to pick him up not a chance .he likes his personal space I'm ok with that even if it causes issues with Viv cleanings love him loads either way
@@salembinx9327 I totally understand when I first took over the care of my son’s bearded dragon when he moved out he did not like to be touched by me. The very first time I picked him up he hissed at me. I love that you are being patient. I love that you waited until he came to you for his little head strokes so many people are impatient and try to force themselves upon them. They are just not dogs. We have to accept this. My guy likes me in small doses. Lol nature of the beast.
I’m in the process of target training Squiggles aka Squigg Squag aka Squagg on a log aka Mamas sweet baby lamb chop right now! This is so exciting!!!!!
all my juveniles/adults are "trained" if you consider knowing that the insect forceps with the red on the grabbing part means food lol. just so happens 4/5 of my juves/adults are currently shedding at least some of their body. so they aren't as ravenous with food as they usually are lol. it's ok though. i know shedding can be very unpleasant for them.,
I just did. Now if the bearded dragons behind a cabinet, rather than dragging the cabinet forward I can just target the dragon out instead. Perfect example of why it’s useful.
Asked for the video. Didn't think we could get it this fast.😁Thank you! This is of great help.
I’m on it 😉
How cool!! I didn't know you could do this to essentially help get them out from under furniture and such

How to do it with voice? It would be nice if she could come over when I call her
Reptiles are not dogs or cats it’s a reptile and doesn’t have to be trained
@@firstladieee6615 I think the overall purpose of the video was to explain it was possible to train one, not intending to say it’s detrimental.

I've never had to train a dog/cat. I taught a poodle to jump a loop because it was funny, but it was never necessary.
