anyone who has been in this DCS space for a few years know that once tutorial videos start, the module is just around the corner - and i'm all here for it!
At 54-years-old, starting with flight simulators made with green dots on a monochrome screen, I can express how grateful I am to be alive with these advancements in simulation coming around today. Heatblur Simulations clearly has their heads on straight when it comes to authenticity. Thank you!
@thebrain7441don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure something once happened when HB showed that ED was a bit inferior but obviously it’s ED’s game and I think they where a bit annoyed. But I know that HB do help develop the game in some ways!
hearing that all the gauges actually are simulated with friction and the most minute insignificant details are accounted for is WHY i like Heatblur. I am beyond excited.
@@vecnejhipik5349 I am afraid too for performance, but usually things like this run through the CPU as it's all code and not related to graphics. So just buy a CPU upgrade; if you can afford the module and hardware for DCS, you can probably afford the CPU.
I love the "deep wear and tear" option where you can assign a very, very used aircraft to a developing nation's air force since they always seem to buy pre-owned. I can't believe the effort and level of detail that goes into this.
I was gonna say, usually I skip most of that stuff or do an auto start but now that it will actually have some sort of impact on how the jet operates there is finally a reason to do the checks outside of just being true to military procedure.
At 1:00 is a 163rd TFG CA ANG F-4E, with the distinctive stars and bars tail! So excited that’s one of the liveries, thank you Heatblur for including it. My Dad flew with that unit out of March AFB flying the C, E and RF. Can’t wait to fly it in DCS and show him!
While the aircraft isn't the most sophisticated, compared to some of the later F models, it's pretty clear this release raises the bar for DCS modules, due to its complex attention to detail. Absolutely amazing.
@@bazej1080 I hope we won't have to wait 2+ years for a naval variant of the Phantom. I know people have been waiting a long time for the Eurofighter and I'd sure like to get the A-6E, too; but I'd like to see them go all the way back to the F-4B for the naval version.
Needle friction, sticky hydraulics for the landing gear...wow. For some reason it's all the little insignificant details I find most exciting and novel
What is crazy to me is that you guys ask around $60 (in early access) for such a refined and complex model. And we also get an upgraded version down the line. (So basically 2 planes) Compared to Warthunder which asks $70 for 10% (if they even reach that) of the fidelity compared to you guys bring. Keep up the amazing work 👍
It's funny how far Heatblur are ahead of ED in using ED's own software. So many things, as simple as an in-game manual, that they're doing before the actual developer. Impressive work.
You guys are CRAZY !! The amount of detail is just outstanding. I really can't to try it myself, and see all this amazing stuff transferred to my beloved Tomcat 😍 Thank you so much Heatblur team.
Cannot wait. Seeing the attention to detail in the F-4 is amazing and makes me so glad that the rumours of Heatblur leaving DCS that swirled back after the Tomcat were just that rumours. Bring on the phantom!
The way Heatblur is pushing the sim industry is just amazing. I cannot wait to get my hands on this iconic aircraft and see what Heatblur does with these new technologies going forward. Was interested when you released the Viggin, then you drop the Tomcat (always a fan favorite) and now this. Now it's time to research Operation Bolo to build a mission. Congrats on what will be a very BIG gamechanger for DCS.
Flagship Module maker for DCS! Seriously appreciate the Teams attention to detail, desire to implement new features and overall media handling. Beyond hyped for the F-4!
Wow, I thought the Strike Eagle was already very detailed, but this is another level. I hope all future modules will be as detailed as this one! Can't wait for the Eurofighter.
My God, to say the intricate attention to detail and digital craftsmanship is phenomenal would be an understatement. My mind is blown! 🤯 I'd practically kill for Heatblur to give this level of treatment to the F-105 Thunderchief. Especially the D T-Stick II, and G Wild Weasel III.
I am convinced that if I try to play this the spacetime continuum will rupture due to the level of realism being greater than flying the actual aircraft itself
The depth of the simulation will certainly make the F-4 stand out from the crowd. In addition to that - the art is BEAUTIFUL in standard HB style. Bravo!
So hyped for this!! I'm just speechless how some developers are able to raise the bar even more every time while on the other side you have well documented civilian aircraft that are still in service which lack basic FMS functionality...
Incredible!! I thought the BlackSquare Duke is the only deep simulated masterpiece with dozens of realistic and deeply simulated systems all capable of failing and developed with utmost attention to detail and flawless visual quality releasing this year - but here we have another pure gold nugget in the same quality. A gold nugget that flies because it got little aerodynamic wings attached to it combined with raw turbine power. :) Some say it´s a flying brick but I think it´s a flying gold nugget just like the Heatblur F-14 and the Duke.
And this, ladies and gents, is why I hoped a few years ago that Heatblur will be the ones in charge of the Phantom. Their touch with older aircraft is unparalleled.
Early Access NOW please! My favorite aircraft of all time. Childhood memories of F4 Phantoms overhead, the thunder of the engines! I have been waiting for many, many months...we are almost there....Thank you for sharing these videos.
wow, thats way more detail than i ever imagined, and thats coming from a dcs player, who expects intense detail already. thats an impressive bar to surpass
Hi, What I currently don't understand about "Wear and Tear" is where this system is applied. You can set the parameters for this in the mission editor, but can these values also be taken over from another mission? Does this only work within a campaign? I guess that the status of the aircraft isn't saved after each mission and adopted for the next mission, regardless of whether these missions are related or not?
nice! thank you for considering a single player! i can't wait to try this out when it's out. being a working a guy, i only have Saturday or Sunday to play the game and having an AI WSO at the back will really help me out in the sim.
I have only just got DCS and have yet to fly, think this will have to be one of my first ever aircraft to dive into. I am super excited for the F-4E, its my favorite variant

Not true, i survived a direct head-on AIM-9 in the Tomcat. Only dmg was that my hydraulics fluid started leaking.
@thebrain7441 I've also noticed this. I very rarely survive when I get hit from behind in my Viggen on Enigmas Cold War server with an IR missile.
@thebrain7441
It happened last week. I landed, repaired and went back out.
Edit: I even landed without landing gear. Survived that aswell.

Nowhere near 10%. 1% would be a push. I love WT tanks, but their aircraft are abysmal. It's just Ace Combat with a more realistic skin.
