- In this video I compare the Different 2wd Traxxas Slash Models and discuss what I think is “The Best Bang For The Buck?” amongst the different choices. I also answer “why I chose the model that I did?”.
You don’t have to keep your antenna out the body if your transmitter is a 2.4 ghz being a tq or tqi. And TSM is for the stability of your steering as you drive to keep you going straight.

I've been considering a traxxas
It’s probably the most popular rc brand out there. They have some really nice products. They also have really good tech and aftermarket support. The Slash has gotta be one of the best rcs out there.
I've had a raptor and I have a vision wheels one now
Nice! I really like the look of the Raptor. Especially the Fox Shocks Edition. I never understood why they never made the Raptor in the brushless version though? Is the Vision wheels one a Raptor Edition?
The vision wheels one is exactly like the raptor one it's just the body and bumper like you said

The body is different but the chassis is the same
I have rc collection but I miss my 2wd slash it was fully modd with herbie lid , are these regular chassis or lcg , id want the old school one
High center of gravity. From my understanding the 2wd does not come with a lcg option. You have to buy a conversion kit if you want to do that
You should give team associated sc10 a try. It has avc as well, or "tsm". I own a trophy rat which is the same platform as the sc10. It's so lightweight
Yeah but I was looking at Team Associated and I don’t believe they have a 4wd short course truck? I’m not really in the market for another 2wd. 4wd maybe?
@@RCKnockout yeah that's true. They discontinued the prosc 4x4. They have really nice 4x4 buggy kits, but now that you mention it i don't think they have a rtr 4x4 short course anymore 🤔
@@theguyinthecomments9543 I didn’t see any 4x4 options available so that’s kinda unfortunate. If they did I would definitely look into it
@@RCKnockout yeah it is unfortunate because the quality is there. But your right, I guess the only rtr 4x4 is the rival mt10 from associated.

If you can get proline beadlocks , they were expensive but made slash perform and looked killer, they will last forever also

@@RCKnockout nice 👌, best thing about slash , is you can replicate your favorite car , or truck ,id say more bodys for slash than any other rc , I wish they get popular racing again , what else could race equally have a blast and be affordable.
@@RCKnockout I have one thats completely aluminum except for gearbox housing , a shelf queen I never completed
@@paulclancy2404 the 2wd probably wouldn’t make for a good race truck just because of how easily it rolls. I’m sure it would perform a ton better with the lcg conversion kit. But you’re right, the Slash has a ton of aftermarket support. So you can customize it any way you want
@@RCKnockout ik but the slash and racing stock slashes put rc back on the map beileive or not , its release popularity was bigger than arrmas and xxmaxx are today , you had your racers serious rc guys traxxas nitro hpi ect higher end electric still only hardcore rcers , thsn slash came out just kept growing , till few years ago as more rcs and lipopolymer batteries came down in price , I bought a slash used for 300 had over 1000 into , we couldn't get parts cheap like can now you had to pay for good servos ect , ik today not practical but check out 2wd shortcource racing it brought hobby up fast it was stuck even Dead .can't believe I'm old 😳 lol I thinking came out 2008
It's not about the cash it's about what you want. If you want it you will find the cash. My rc shop has the fox body for 30.

If it's his first car I recommend the traxxas slash xl5 it's decently speeded with great control and it's at a fair price of $200
