      @kuruptMF ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Did u know kt and Mr t were forced to leave there brothers? They had no mating rights, females rejected them, there big brothers simply bullied them when it came to breeding! They were a good duo but were always vulnerable without the tanks of the 6 mapogo. Hence why kinkytail had no chance against 2 3yr old males with 2 more keeping mr t at bay!! The mapogo were only a force when makhulu,dreadlocks,rasta and pb were together. These 4 males were all heavyweight magnificent males. The downfall of this coalition was the disappearance of rasta in July 2010 then the most powerful member dreadlocks in nov/Dec 2010.....mrt was by far the weakest member of the coalition, do not get it twisted

    @GreenManalichi, there were initially 5 Majingilane Male. One of them was killed by the two Mapogos and the following day one of the Mapogos was killed by the remaining four Majingilane. The remaining Mapogo fled west to be with the rest of the Mapogo coalition where they have resided since. A few weeks ago, the Mapogo who fled was killed by another coalition known as the Southern Pride Males.

      Majingilane are the true kings they killed and ran off the mapogos
      Majingilane are the true definition of true brotherhood and unity avenging their brother death
      The mapogos were not united and mr t killed his brothers Cubs so give me a break they have nothing on the majingilane the mapogos
      United they stand divided they fall majingilane showed the mapogos what true bloodbrothers meant

    • @dce2kjced
      @dce2kjced 8 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      +GOLDEN RATIO EAST majingilanes are cowards..when mr t and kt confronted the 5 of them, they ran, and when they were killing thier brother that they caught and kt was roaring giving them thier location, none of the 4 majingis showed up to save him.
      even now in 2016, still scared unless they have numbers, 2 matimbas managing to chase them...it's wasn't til a 3rd majingi showed up until they had the balls to confront them..

    • @lpg64593
      @lpg64593 8 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      I beg to differ, my friend. I respect the Majingilane coalition for what they're worth. Yes, they avenged their brother brutally, much respect. But it was 4 against 1, the Mapogos never truly separated, they were always ride or die for each other. Respectfully, we only know of the Majingilane because of their rivalry to the true legendary warriors....the Mighty Mapogos!

    • @dce2kjced
      @dce2kjced 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +nette patrice im talking about how the majingilanes have fought..perhaps "coward" is a bit too critical, but there's been a few situitations were they've backed off confrontations unless they had superior numbers.
      they have been successful in raising cubs to adulthood, but that's the only thing they have on the mapogo.
      i see them within the next year losing their territory, it will be interesting how they go down.
      there's a young coaltion of 5 south of kruger who are even younger than the bboys and already killed 2 territorial males..if they head up and decide they want more territory, majingis will be in trouble.
      the impressive thing about these guys, is they came into a territory of 4 lions in their prime, and challenged them by roaring back in their territory...they caught 2 and killed them both, chasing the other 2 away, and they dont even have full manes yet.

  • @opousevrw
    @opousevrw 6 ปีที่แล้ว +43

    The reason they've always been my favorite(and I'm a fan of many coalitions) is because they weren't the biggest or strongest Lions we've seen, they weren't the biggest coalition in terms of numbers, but they were still the most successful Lions we've seen because they did everything right that mattered: they used their smarts to dominate. They ruled the territories they set their eyes upon, they knew how to pick their battles which is why they won every major battle and overcame some of the most devastating Lion coalitions we've seen and they successfully sired a lot of offspring. To do what they did for 8 long years and in the end all 4 of them dying of old age is like Michael Jordan capping off his Bulls career with the game-winning jumpshot in the finals of 98. A perfect legacy.

    In the lion world, males with dark manes are usually more dominant & desirable than their lighter-maned counterparts. Lionesses typically are more attracted to dark-maned males, as they are more likely to survive, stay around & therefore pass on his genes to the next generation.
    Only in Hollywood, like the movie The Lion King, do we see dark-maned males like the villain Scar, portrayed in a negative light. Lighter-maned males, like Mufasa & Simba, were shown as more dominant but in reality, that's not necessarily the case.

    Bit cheeky to make out that the take over happened at Londolozi when it was actually at Nkorho ;) I know because I listened to it all on the Nkorho cam that night. Also the film of the two lions killing the other one was actually Mr T and Kinky Tail killing the 5th Majingilane. I saw the video of the Majings killing and eating Kinky Tail, it was gruesome, after an epic battle they broke his back and then fed on him for 20 mins before he took his final breath. A lion's life is not an easy one, it takes a lot of strength and stamina for them to survive, which makes it all the more awful that there are people that go out like cowards with guns and shoot these magnificent animals at virtually point blank range, leaving prides to their fates during more takeovers. I am so glad that there are places like the Sabi Sands where they can live their lives as they should, wild and free.

      Sorry for kinky tell and Mr T, both are loose coward, they kill one of brother's of majingilane alone brutally, then both of them forget the meaning of brotherhood. Majingilane brother's do exact things what those brother's do with his brother, even worst than that, even they tore upon his bailey and eat them. If you are male, then you understand than loosing of brother, it's all about his brother death revenge and nothing else. If Mr T caught instead of kinki tell, then he punished more brutal than kinki tell.

      U majingaline fanboy, I’ve been reading your comments , I say ur hating on mapogos. IN REAL Common sense any one would have , but you don’t have is that mapogos killed a majing.. Then majin killed KT. BUT there is no proof of them killing rasta and PB, it’s 1-1. What do you mean all six of them. Here’s what I’ll tell u, MR T and kinky tail chased nomadic male for 2 years even if they were outnumbered. The mapogos dealt with toulon, gijma, northern males, ravenscourt male, blondie and dozie, majingaline, split rock males, nhlanguleni males, Freddy and limper. (Pretty sure there’s more) Now tell me who did the majingaline face mapogos, selati That’s all .. you can’t Say the majingaline and marimbas since the matimba were chasing majingaline until another majingaline showed up then they had the balls to confront HB and Ginger. They only killed 2 male lions selati #4 and KT. another fact mapogos didn’t abandon they kept their prides and territory until the very end. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Another fact, the only reason they lost their offspring is due to human intervention, mr T himself and other lions (but mostly the first 2) . Another fact For ur dumbass , mapogos were kings 6-7 years , western 6-7 years but east only 4 years 2006-2012. Another fact for your dumbass, majingaline abondon their territory east 2010- 2013 or 2014 then west they only stayed in power for 3 years until 2017 then they started aging. Another thing to mention, when ever there’s less majingaline then other males they have no balls to comfort another males. That’s the facts And everyone knows the facts. At the end of the day we know they are lions just being lions. The best they could be. So stop tryna hate on mapogos, without the mapogos these majingaline coalition won’t even be talked about. So stfu u dumbfuk

    • @og2kgod896
      @og2kgod896 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @ Xavier Vega. All lions use the same tactics but there’s one thing I can say for sure mapogos never backed down even if they were outnumbered. You can’t expect lions to have human brains be like , KT should’ve back out he was outnumbered , the only reason he never back down cuz he knew what he lived for and what he would die for, his pride and territory the life of a male lion. So stfu u hating ass on mapogos . You have little rather no knowledge about either coalition, so it’s best if you keep your brains that don’t produce any brain cells and keep out of convos. When you only say bullshit.

    I love the Mapogo coalition and think they were most dominant in terms of land and prides ruled, but the Majingilane males were smart to pick off Kinky Tail and then possibly Rasta to weaken the Mapogo coalition. Of course if Makulu, Dreadlocks, Pretty Boy, and Mr T were there, the Majingillane males would have been history well and truly. Just by reading some of the comments about the Majingilane males, some people take what they do personally. Lions killing other lions happens everyday in Africa and the Mapogo males brutally killed plenty of other lions as well. It's just nature so don't take it personally!

    • @lpg64593
      @lpg64593 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      you're very right! I myself got emotionally invested in the Mapogos and automatically hated the Magingilane. But I do realize they were just being lions, just like the Mapogos. I definitely agree that they were smart to weaken the group by singling out KT and Rasta. If MrT, Rasta, Dreadlocks, Pretty boy and Big Mak were all there, we may never have even heard of the Magingilane. But nature is nature, it is what it is. I respect that.

    • @elliptical29

      Drago Jr Probably to isolate Kinky Tail as male lions can often trick each other this way by baiting them away from their coalition. The Majingilane stick together hence why they don't get isolated in territorial fights with other males. The Majingilane have also sired many cubs to adulthood to pass on their lineage. Mapogo hardly even did that despite their power during their peak.

    • @elliptical29
      @elliptical29 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the Mapogo were famous...I'm not doubting that. They held much territory and ruled many prides at their peak but couldn't sire many cubs to adulthood. They couldn't pass on their lineage much. Only a handful of cubs were sired to adulthood. The Majingilane will indeed pass like any other coalition but not before siring many cubs to adulthood thus passing on their lineage.

    • @elliptical29
      @elliptical29 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes...but I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about genetic lineage. Apparently there were two daughters sired by the Mapogo males who have mated with the Majingilane males. I'm hoping some of their bloodline will live on.

    that split of 4-2. between mapogos was the real reason of their fall. majingilanes were just normal lions.

    • @dce2kjced
      @dce2kjced 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was a combination of things that cause their fall.
      The split was always going to happen. Mr t and kt were the youngest and they wanted their turn with the females ( you can't blame them for that).
      Mak,dreads,pb and rasta should have taken the east (frontline) since they had the numbers.
      After kt died. Humans hunters interfered by poaching dreadlocks who was at that time the leader. People dont realise that dreadlocks was dominant male or same level as mak at that time as mak was old.

They came in a time when the challenge for dominance was on it´s greatest, with 6 Mapogo, 6 Matimbas, 5 Selati, 3 Toulun and many more coalitions fighting for a piece of land in SS. They dominated the area and made it their playground and took care of it until their last breath. RIP Majingis

    Hi Chris, where to start with these lions. I'm hesitant to give you any black or white answers as there are none in the wild. I can provide examples of how the Mapogos were not united as the coalition split up with 4 heading west and 2 remaining in the central Sabi Sands, yet at the same time I will mention how they united when the Majingilane challenged them for dominance. The comments do not allow enough room for a full explanation, I encourage u to read the Londolozi blog to find out more.
