I watch car reviews as a hobby and your knowledge, pacing, and personality made this more engaging than most of the other solo-reviewers out there! So hard to do on your own; will definitely be back for more.
Over here in Germany those things were taxis, so the scrap yards are FULL to the brim with spare parts - You can get an original Bilstein strut for 250 bucks. In Germany this car is a no-brainer. I will get one in a year (when my current leasing contract ends).
I couldn't wait and got one in the summer. Unfortunately the previous owners were lazy with maintenance and I had to do a lot of stuff myself. In the end I paid € 1300 for repairs, but at Mercedes those repairs easily would reach 5000 bucks.
First ever trip, in my first ever car to the place I used to practice driving with my mom for a photo shoot. Saw a blacked out E55 AMG parked next to a challenger. The fuck is that I thought, checked the plate, 2005 E55. Well now I need a V8 W211, I mean it was just obvious. That was two years ago, been seriously saving up now since the new year, and am tomorrow checking out a black 2003 E500 elegance. Damn stoked
Australian built Holden Commodore, which you would know as the Chevy SS, comes in a wagon in Australia. Both manual and automatic, LS7 V8, and the top shelf trim comes with supercharger and all the fruit. There is also a ute version called the Malloo
Definitely an cool wagon in an amazing spec. Hopefully it will do well on Cars and Bids. If I were a betting man, which I'm not, but if I was, I'd bet your next car will be something Swedish or Japanese. Keep up the great content mate
@@BernonCarshow much if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking at a 2004 with 150,000 miles. Needs a good cleaning and has a king service history. May can get it for around $3,500
That’s dream family hauler right there. Those wheels are sick. I'd drive that for a lifetime, probably would have to replace the struts one by one yearly lol
We had one as the family car from 116k to 275k miles. I budgeted an average $2k/year. Some years were easy, some cost $4k! But it was the best car to take around the US--several times! We're looking for another one again, because nothing else is quite as good!
@@BernonCars I would def keep away from Airmatic if I ever decided to get one lol. BTW in terms of apple car play and Android auto head-units, they do sell them and they will plug right into the stock harness and everything will continue working perfectly. I just got one for my 09 hyundai elantra wireless android auto and carplay.
I recently came into a 2006 E350 4Matic Wagon and I want to make a spare key. Do I have to go to the dealership to have a key programmed or can I get it at less cost online?
@@BernonCars I’m buying from a private owner. It’ll be after hours around 5 to pick up the car. So looks like no tag and wing it to Kentucky. Wish me luck! This wagon is loaded. Heated steering wheel along with push button start and dynamic seats as well. Got it for $2k. 190,000 miles
For folding the seats, the drivers seat is supposed to automatically push forward when you engage the tab to pull down the rear seat back. Maybe that’s something that the earlier cars didn’t have. Is this an 03-05?
I also have this exact same model and my driver seat does move forward when folding the seats. You may have a sensor malfunction if yours doesn't automatically move the drivers seat.
Damn had i known about this wagon earlier i would of made a bid with it. I drive a ml 500 with the same engine and trans its bullet proof and i said to my self if i can find a good e500 id buy it T_T

That’s how it is for Honda and GM in the US… and part of the reason why German stuff is generally more expensive to own here.

You are honestly my comfort TH-camr, always looking forward to new videos :-)
I appreciate that!! Good to see you around!
Bern I love your reviews, this is a great summary of ownership. Keep making these videos sir.
Thank you I appreciate that!! I certainly will!
I’ve literally never seen those wheels on any MB product. That’s a really cool option
My favorite option on it!!

Interesting yeah! I'd love to experience cars down there
@@BernonCars sadly we don't have any home grown any more.
Very curious to see what comes next! 👀
Im so excited for the reveal 🤩

It sold on C&B thankfully!! LOL the next one will be revealed shortly haha

@@BernonCars sounds like you did ok then! Even after money spent on repairs!

great video sir and the w211 e-class is also my favorite generation, especially the amg versions.
Thank you! Yeah the E55 is great
@@BernonCars reliability is what is keeping me away from getting one lol. the non-v8 4matic 350s are supposed to be better in terms of reliability.
Im sure, no airmatic! That’s one of the most expensive parts I think

I’m in love wit da wagons
Yessssirrrr
Pretty good city MPG. I drive the same car with V6 and it’s hard to get better than 14 in the city. Also the wagon is technically the S211
Yeah right, decent! Ahh yes thanks for the note

16MPG for a V8 wagon in city is insanely high!
Yeah right!! I was impressed! I’m used to my 12-13MPG guzzlers 😂
16mpg around town is what I also get in my highly modified 2005 E55 wagon.
Interesting! Sounds like a beast LOL
Mine is 2 wheel drive with the beautiful blue glass they make
Nice very proper looking!
I’m getting one in Kansas City and was wondering about temp tag. Driving it back did you have a temp tag??
Oh nice! Yeah the dealer I got it from gave me a tag for like 10 bucks!

Have 2004 e 320 same colour ( great on fuel ⛽️ 👏 " classy car people like )
Its a pretty color!
Anyone knows why some 320 petrols have muffles and some dont? Is this always aftermarket ?
Cup holders in the rear armrest
At 8:00, the cup holders are in the end of the armrest. Press and they pop out, like the 3rd row (:
Ahhh I missed that!! Thank you!

Bern, you cant keep doin this to us! First Casper now this?
LOL! I think a lot of people will be pleased with my next purchase!! 😂
@@BernonCars Im exctied to see whats next!
They actually used the entire chassis from the W210 E Class to underpin the Chrysler 300, Charger, and Magnum wagon. But whose counting..
Ha, yeah right
Sad to see this one go 😭
Bittersweet!

Damnnn ripppp 😭
engine is SOHC, not DOHC. Great car btw.
Thank you for the note!
You better get us a cool car next 🤭
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed 🤠
S211. W211's are the sedan.
Sell me this car
I sold it already 😢
I like how black you are
