Rik Mayall knew what Britain was becoming. He tried to make many folk aware & the shit that he knew was coming is now actually happening. That's why he's no longer with us. He foreseen of what was to come. Such a special man supremely talented & extremely funny. He'll never be forgotten. Always will be missed. RIP Rik ❤
Yes he did a film about the future & although Rik never said the actual words the other actors did, it was so close to the truth, then within a few months I believe he died, too co-incedental for me.

I spent three months on a Greyhound bus with Rik. (We were touring the US in a UK production of The Comedy of Errors.) First off, as he says here, and Stephen Fry has said, he was incredibly beautiful. An Adonis. Which comedians are not expected to be. And when he was crackingly funny, which he constantly was, it was as unexpectedly, anarchically shocking as his gesture here, when he says 'Smack him!' If we are 'a product of what has gone before', I flatter myself that he is in me, still. (I'd not seen him for six months, when in London, I walked into a pub in Belsize Park, and he was at the bar. He'd barely clocked me, before he yelled "I thought I told you to wait in the car!" His wit was that quick). "Self, self, self, it's all about me!" How we need that satire today! How we are not permitted the violence of his essential satire today! "Dead for five days?" Nope. Alive, beloved, beautiful Rik, for as long as I am alive, at least.
Crazy :( 80/90s seem like yesterday, and now he's gone! I only just heard him and Ade were planning to redo Bottom last year, though Ade eventually declined -- such a shame, would loved to have seen these 2 in action again. RIP Rik.
