It was fun to watch them interact...well the monkeys were interacting and the Capibaras didn't mind:)
The Capibarasa don't seem to mind the squirrel monkeys at all. Very nice video.

10 years late but monkeys pick insects from cappys fur and eats them. It’s pretty mutant beneficial for monkey and cappy
Capybaras are patient with most animals it seems. There are other videos of a female capybara playing surrogate mother to puppies.
thus why animals are truely magnificent

Fun Fact: There's also a species of Ant that does a similar thing, but in a far more clever and sophisticated manner.
This particular Ant figured out how to tap into their slave's brain so they can control specific bugs and ride them around, like a car, so to speak. The Ants can even steer these living slaves, around. Ants are so damn clever and adaptable and cooperative (not so much toward other species, though). There's a reason why they dominate any area they populate and have been so wildly successful for the last 400,000,000 years.
Ants can get their slaves to walk exactly where they want to go, while they ride on their backs like pimps, probing into their brains so the slave bug wants to do what the Ant wants. The mind control aspect is being studied. Scientists don't really know how the Ants do this.
Using extremely tiny remote cameras and microphones, Scientists have even recorded one particular Ant riding on a bug and yelling at his slave to, quote, 'Hurry the f-ck up!. Shocking, is an understatement, the scientist later recalled. He also detailed more awful things Ants will say to bully their slaves. For example, one group was humiliating and bullying a particular slave that just couldn't walk very fast. It had hurt its leg. But the Ants weren't sympathetic in the least. They were calling it 'dumb' and 'a stupid tard'.
It's depressing to learn Ants are as cruel as humans, but we long suspected Ants weren't friendly insects and are, in fact, the cocksuckers, of the insect world, the scientist concluded.

Certainly, both animals are rodents and also native to South America.

Dogs look more like rats than capybaras do. Capys have flat heads with flat faces, while rats have long heads and pointed mouths. The only thing about capys that look similar to rats are the teeth.

Yeah, they are related to rats, Guinea pigs, squirrels, etc, but my point was that they don't look like rats. If the average person saw a capybara for the first time, but didn't know they were in the rodent family, they wouldn't guess that they were rodents.
