Yeah I wear gloves when installing them and then hang ours on the wall. The ones I sell on the website I’ll be wrapping the blades for just that reason. First thing I did when took the first blade out to measure it was cut myself too. 😆
New to your channel and I like your video,❤ I’m going to go watch more. Thx for the ideas I work with 30 retired military an 28 are men so great to have some suggestions for our dirty Santa game! Hubby just got me a bandsaw for my BD can’t wait!😊
Thank you! Glad you liked it and it gave you some good ideas! You're gonna love that bandsaw too - you can do so much cool stuff with those. When you get it make sure and check out Alex Snodgrass's video on how to set it up correctly the first time and it will save you SO MUCH time and frustration. (its on Woodcraft's TH-cam Channel) Thanks for watching!
I’m still very new to woodworking, but I love the idea of handmade gifts for my family. I think I’m going to try out the bottle openers and I really like the Lazy Susan boards for scrabble.
It really does add a personal touch and folks love getting stuff you made for them. And the game night lazy Susan is is a literal game changer. 😆 thanks for watching!
@@BearhawkStudio Hey am I missing something? I see a 1-9/16" forstner bit and 1/4' x 1/8" magnets in your links. Wouldn't a 9/6" bit work? or a bigger magnet?
@@brettbarker8444 The 1-9/16" forstner is only used to countersink the bottle-opener "coins" into the handheld bottle openers. I used a normal 1/4" drill bit for the smaller magnets on the fridge ones, and a 1" forstner bit for the large magnet (front and back mounted) on the wall bottle opener. Sorry for the confusion there!
Thank you! We have literally used it every day since i built these. It's easily one of the most useful of my recent "fun" projects. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I pasted up the plans for the bread bow on my website with dimensions - but last week the blades I used sold out on Amazon - so I've ordered some new ones and will update the plans for everybody as soon as they arrive and I double check the measurements. Thanks so much for watching. Let me know if there was a different plan you were interested in though and I can try to get those online this week.
@@BearhawkStudio Thank you for responding. I see the blades are back in stock. I looked for the plans, but didn't see them. I was also interested in the ice cream scoop style bottle opener plans. I saw someone make a coffee scoop with the same shape. I think would be fun to try it. th-cam.com/video/gT1yjhPVj2A/w-d-xo.html Thank you again
At least 3/4” - but I prefer to do 1” and sometimes up to 1-1/2” just for bulk. But they’ll definitely still work at 3/4 if that’s the stock you can get in your preferred wood. Thanks for watching!!
Hey Fred! I put plans for the bread bow on my website and links to all the materials needed to build these projects are in the video description. The dimensions for all are dependent on which inserts and blades you buy but I specified the ones I used in the links. Thanks for watching!
Ah, it's woodworking gift season again. Yes!! So you made a subscriber out of me, and I'll share your channel on mine to help send some your way. I like how you made this video: clean, clear and all steps well described. Thank you so much!
That was Starbond Black Medium CA Glue and Activator. There's links for both in the description of the video. That stuff is super useful and they make it in multiple colors!
Absolutely! I’ll convert them to pdf tomorrow and get them on the website and reply back here when they’re online. In the meantime the blades are in the links of the description. Thanks for the interest!!
Hey Brandon I just uploaded the plans to my website's store. It includes the basic outline, along with measurements, and a printable template. Let me know if I've missed anything and I'll get them updated! Thanks for the interest, and thanks for watching!
The ones in this video were closer to 1" cause thats the scraps I had laying around - but you could absolutely use 3/4" or even 1/2" stock easily. Thanks for watching!
Love the scope of different ideas but especially pairing the bread bow saws with cutting boards. Definitely going to take that on for next season!
Thanks Toni! Everybody I gave one to this year loved them! Thanks for watching!
The bread bow saw is great but those blades are sharp as heck I have never bled so many times making a project. I recommend making a blade cover

Awesome video. A lot of great ideas for Christmas!
Thanks man! Everybody on my list knows what they're getting from me this year now!😆

Really loved this video! The projects are all so creative and practical, especially for DIY gifts. I’m excited to try them out myself! 🎨🎁

So cool! Great video
Thanks Brad! And thanks for watching!
Great video! Love the idea for a lazy susan for a board game surface. Definitely want to do that for my house!
Thanks Tom! We use ours all the time. I even made a much larger one just so we could use it with more games.
Looking good. I like them all and gave me ideas. I do woodworking, not how to homestead so I follow woodworkers so I'm following you.
Thank you!! And thanks for watching!

@ thank you so much!! I’m really looking forward to my first couple attempts at these over Thanksgiving weekend.

Good video man. I like the bread cutters

Love all the ideas. Please place your knives tip down. If by chance they slip, they won’t fall to the ground and chip the tip off.
Thank You! Great suggestion - ill flip those over right now - i didnt even think about that! And thanks for watching!

May I ask what is the black bottle you used at the beginning?

What cool stuff! The bread knife is a great idea. I would keep the knifes away from the armored space guy?
