Watched it recently (with Jonas, who is just dreamy) and Werther takes FOREVER to die. Massenet was really trying hard to be Wagner here XD
I think after Tristan (and maybe Simon Boccanegra since he takes multiple scenes) Werther may have the longest death scene?

He is! I also loved him in Forza. And Don Carlo. And Tosca. Pretty much everything. Even Trovatore and I'm generally not Team Manrico :D
I can understand that :D Jonas is amazing. I wish I was born a baritone and I could be his Rodrigo.
