  • Episode 3 of my Cone Carver series features Mike Williams and his 1969 Chevy C10. What started out as a long bed surfboard hauler has turned into this purpose built cone carving truck. With the help of Rob Phillip's of PCH Rods and Jesse of The Differential and Axle Shop they were able to transform this mundane classic truck into a autocross winning machine.

    I have a 99 Silverado with a Gen 5 LT1 and 8L90. I have been looking for a better suspension; so, thank you for the reference to PCH.

    Killer C10! Thanks for sharing the progression. What I have taken away from the video is, I am not going to waste money upgrading my suspension other than the drop springs I purchased and sway bars I adapted from a S15 4x4. Makes no sense to purchase tubular control arms to fit the stock suspension in front and drop spindles. I am going to just save the money and purchase Detroit speed set up. This isn’t the first video I have watched that shows that is the way to go..

    These trucks are getting so hard to find for a reasonable price. I looked last year for a short-bed C10 chassis to build and couldn't find one in raw form. Everything was already built to someone else's taste. You can find long-bed trucks in unmolested form, but they are completely rusty and overpriced around here (southern Oregon). I'll just beat up on my widebody Mustang for the time being until I come across another project. Love this truck though. It's always hard to piece-meal any project as Mike said.

    • @315squared4
      @315squared4  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace are insanely over priced in my opinion. It’s hard to find a stock 67-72 stock C10 or even a lightly modified one
