Bought one of these from Wish last yr. Didn't know how to use it at first but once I figured it out it made the job of installing the handles so much easier and neater. you need to practice with it a little more. you should use all 3 parts to center your holes.
We had hardware installed and he used a very similar jig. It worked great. I bought the Kreg jjig, and wasn’t overly impressed. This is a must better tool with more adjustability and accuracy.
You made it look more difficult than it needed to be. If the bottom guide is more than 1 1/8 flip it and lock it at 1 1/8. Lock the Side guide on the ruler at 1 1/8. Zero the hole guide that’s on the ruler and that’s it, you get 1 1/8 from the side and from the bottom. Because you have a narrow shaker the end result looks good the way you went with the installation anyway.
But for thickness issue, how about turning the small stopper piece inside out and the thickness will be reduced. I dont know if you get what I am trying to explain.
Wouldn't having it held from the bottom be easier? So no 2nd guessing on the measurement is needed. Also they could have been done at the same time. Hence why it had the 3 parts he disregarded as "extra" placing the zero in the middle and left and right would be the same number.
Aka how to make a 6 minute how-to video last 3 times longer. The main reason to use a jig is if you have pulls with two screw holes and you did not show this or assess the product on that key criteria. Sorry Charlie 👎
You did it all wrong bro. That’s made for drawers and not for corner knobs. Pro tip is to mark the hole with a pencil or marker first and then drill. Peace ✌️

I'm glad you like it!
What he probably used was a True Position Tools Jig, which is very nice. This is a cheap chinese knockoff and it's junk.

If you use the large arm for the bottom brace and put the small brace backwards. You can get the initial center measurement
Thank you for that idea. I didn't think of it.
I just got one. Thanks.
Excellent
If you only want the centre of the square do two lines and you get your centre you don’t need to dig for that instead of mucking around
you fig out yet if you turn the stop one over you could do your lower one you wonted to do.
All that just to put a nob in? You could have just used the tape measure and your eye.
You talk too much. Just show how to use the jig and move on
I thought this was easy and need to do a lot of measurement just to make a few holes

That jig you are using is absolute garbage.

That looks cheap as hell
It's even cheaper than it looks.
