My mom did this postpartum confinement after she gave birth to my brother and I each (Taiwanese btw) for a month, at a mansion now a private home in Arcadia (my brother and I were born in Arcadia and have been residing here since I was 10 and he was 12; we were brought back to Taiwan shortly after our births and confinements until we came here for education and now I'm thriving in the arts). Though I have never planned on having kids, Mom had been telling me that if I ever do, she will help "confine" me lol because it is said to make me beautiful and my skin glow
