@@archangelvalentine Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that a lot. The creator was great and the opportunity was awesome. As a freelance VA, it was an easy game to want to be involved in.

@@irubberyouglueonethousand5384 To be fair, the person is portraying an urbex TH-camr. "DIY" is kind of how I would expect it to sound. They didn't do anything outrageous or ham it up. It's not Star quality voice acting, but it was pretty good for an amateur.
Personally, I would guess that Ending #2 probably becomes available when he gets that urgent personal phone call upstairs. When your character says "Yes, I'll do it as soon as I get back to the car", you can probably go back to the car to take care of his real life responsibilities. I'd put a good ending there if I was designing the game.
I really like it when haunted houses start becoming more and more nightmarish, more unreal and twisted, like the house itself has fallen outside of quotidian life and fallen into it's own awful abyss, likely due to the horror of what's transpired there. This game has such an artful build-up, going from making the home feel ineffably wrong, and eventually progressing into unwholesome madness. Awesome find Gab!
It's not needless, it's got content! Also, from experience, urbex can just be really fun. You find super interesting stuff, and occasionally stuff that lets you know you need to GTFO right this second. One time my friend and I found cages...in the most secluded part of an abandoned run down step mall that was set to be demolished. Cages that were way too big for animals. There was also a poster with a list of things to do "after your cargo is picked up" and, most unsettling of all, a Coleman lantern that was warm. We dipped immediately without touching anything or taking pictures and called the police. When they called us back later that same day they told us they didn't find anything and accused us of wasting their time. My state is a thoroughfare for human trafficking because we have a port city, but one of the smallest ones in the country, and this happened in our capital city where two interstates meet so that's our working theory and, if so, they either moved everything extremely quickly or the cops are on the take, but if we hadn't left I'm certain something bad would have happened to us.
Explorers are pretty clear on the "you don't steal" because it could belong to squatter/homeless starting fights as well as stealing would make it a larger crime if police show up besides simply trespassing.
Heavy on the first part! We never stole, but other groups did, and sometimes we got in trouble for that. Ever had an angry squatter man running at you with an axe? -20/10 don't recommend. Leave stuff where you found it and just explore
35:14 this moment had such good timing, when gab says *”poltergeist!”* and the jumpscare triggered it’s like she agitated the ghost/demon by saying that!
My grandpa used to say that quote all the time. Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see. You have no idea how nice it was to see that phrase somewhere randomly. I miss him terribly. It's been over 20 years since we lost him, but he's still such a big part of my everyday life. That made me smile.
This one definitely had a few good jump scares in it!! They need someone to comb through for typos and spelling stuff, but besides that it's solid. Love the creepy almost VHS film camera quality to it. My theory is there's some kind of demon/ghost presence there that messed with the girl first, and she killed herself to get away from it, but it just targeted her family after that. She feels guilty over the whole thing, and is trying to help anyone else who ends up trapped in the house and targeted by the creature/demon.
@@howard2liuthank goodness I’m not the only one bothered by the typos. Even one typo is enough to take me out of the story, but seeing so many in such a short amount of time was kinda shocking. Spelling/typos are one of the easiest things to correct by yourself, or to have a friend kindly beta-read for you before you publish. That’s why - for me personally - it’s the one type of error in games (and other projects) that I struggle to not feel a bit critical about. 23:55 First off, Ev's NoFace impression from Spirited Away is on point and second, I am dying laughing at the idea of taking the lock off the door to put the code in. Put it BACK on the door and then unlocking it to take it off again to open the door. I thought the animation would lean down to the lock but instead it takes the lock off the door to bring the lock itself into view to enter the combination. That's amazing hahaha.
first off, good fucking god that sound design and voice acting is top notch like i'm SO glad i decided to wait and watch this in the morning lol. second, the developer (& VAs, mixers, everyone else who worked on this game) definitely have the talent and skill to make more games! despite not being that long of a game, it was able to tell the story well w/o it being rushed! the story is interesting and the game looks great + i like that the player actually reacts to these things (bc it makes sense if hes vlogging), hopefully we'll get to see more from them!
I'm trying to put into words why this game feels really realistic and actually really got to me. I think it's a lot of little details adding up. First up, the sound design is really good in my opinion (the squeaking doors and the damn gate, the rustling of movement and paper, his DAMN BREATHING IS SO REALISTIC it freaks me out), but same goes for the environment, the lighting, the voice acting and all those those things coming together. It's the way the light from the flashlight looks like the actual light from a flashlight, down to how it sways with the camera motion. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it just felt so real watching it. Usually it's easy to tell it's a game because of choppy camera movement when the player looks around, but here it looks like he's actually holding a camera and a flashlight. If you told me this was an old recording it'd take me a minute or two to make sure it wasn't. If this game was made by a small studio it'd already be a really solid game. The fact that it was made by about 1-3 people is truly amazing. Great job!
