Haight-Ashbury is a district of San Francisco, California, named for the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets. It is also called The Haight and The Upper Haight. The neighborhood is known as one of the main centers of the counterculture of the 1960s. In 1967, The Summer of Love, This was home to the most amazing music, art, hippie and open thinking communities in the nation experimenting and changing the way humans were "supposed' to be.

@@ksvagabond I was born in SF but my mom moved to Chicago where I was raised. When we lived in SF it was the Filmore district.
