Honestly, buddy.... I cannot stress enough how good your channel is. The last 3 problems I’ve had (fulcrum freehub bearings, prime freehub greasing, and BB change) have been solved by your billy basic instructionals. Clean, simple, no bullshit..... love it
Hi, I've got rim break se version. Assuming all is same. The tension on my qr has an impact on the noise. But the bearings same to be fine, when bikes on stand both wheels will always rotate so valves are at bottom. Exactly same on both sides. Great video. Appreciate it
Hello, good evening, first of all, the video is very useful to me, thank you. I live in Turkey, I use the same model rim, how can we get the rear rim axle, thank you in advance.
Really appreciate you putting this up, I’ve got a brand new set of the RR-50 Black Edition wheels which were making a cracking sound on re-engagement of the free hub, just stripped it down and found it packed with thick white grease, pawls could barely move! I’ve used a thinner grease sparingly and it looks to have done the trick. Clue should have been in how quiet the freehub was from new...
David, I just received my BlackEdition 50 wheelset 6 days ago and during my first test ride yesterday I’m experiencing a similar cracking/clunking sound you’re describing coming from the hub. I was able to narrow the sound to the new wheel hub after swapping back to my original rear wheel the sound was gone. The freehub was extremely quiet like none existence. I’ve contacted CRC for a replacement order and now waiting to hear back.
@@vadlme I returned the wheelset and got a full refund. Still didn’t know the actual caused of the issue. I further researched and a local wheel builder said it could be a bad wheel built, like spokes not tightening to spec. It’s normal to heard the cracking sound from a brand new wheelset or after rebuilding but that sound should go away immediately.

Cheers bud!👍
Always a pleasure to watch your videos, all steps are explained well and in a simple manner.

Thank you Sir 😊
What bearing press kit did you use to press the new freehub bearings in.
Bearing size is 26x15x7mm or MR15267 LLB .

Is the black edition hub ALOT better reliablity wise the the v3 50mm ??
How good is that hub/bearing of the current black edition ??
also want to know.. 🤔
Thank you! Would be helpful also see how to remove the bearings without specialized tools.
Hi there, thanks for video!
What is this freehub currently installed, and what hub you'd recommend? Thanks
Cool video mate, how often should we service the free hub (kms) thanks
Depends on the conditions! It’s the wet that does the damage to freehub bearings!

David, they always use that thick grease in the Prime wheels! Proper sticky stuff that is!!
