Venables went back to prison as an adult for charges relating to the exploitation of children for films of an adult nature. I'm putting it that way to appease the YT gods. Disgusting acts. And the details of the Jamie Bulger case haunt me to this day. That poor, poor little boy. It breaks my heart.

So much heartbreak.. One thing about the Columbine shootings made me more mindful of is how I offer condolences. I heard one of the survivors speak on TV how it angered him when people said to him "God must have a plan for you" and he said "So God didn't have a plan for my classmates? That's why they're dead and I'm alive?". Now I try to be conscious of what I say so my words don't cause hurt instead of comfort.

It’s a dramatization for the girl Brenda.. I don’t know of any movies that actually show shootings in schools.. Buffy the vampire slayer had an episode called earshot right after a shooting that they waited to air.. Buffy stops the kid but he was only going to shoot himself in the bell tower.. but the WB thought it hit too close to current events so it was postponed.. later the same teen was the one to name her class protector at prom.. it showed that one act of kindness and reaching out can make a difference..

With Brenda. No the footage wasn’t in a movie. It was from a documentary series called ‘female killers’
And Venables and his associate was indeed the James Bulger case you mentioned before your reaction to the video started.
Mary Bell is a very odd case. I’m happy she’s re-formed and is doing really well. Honestly. Her upbringing was horrific and she hasn’t harmed a single person since she was 11 years old. Faced sexual assault on a DAILY BASIS. You look up to your parents, and if they’re doing things like that…at such a young age, you see it and regard it as normal behaviour. That’s a fact. Lead by example…..
That was the example she was led. Children are incredibly impressionable. She didn’t know that wasn’t normal behaviour….
She’s now 65 and has children of her own.
I’ve got a lot of time for reformed criminals. I believe literally everyone deserves a second chance.
Watchmojo is really shitty when it comes to actual explanation of backstories too. So there’s one to look into.

Mary is an interesting case I agree, a sad case as well. She shouldn't have been let out though. Just because you experienced a sad life doesn't give you the right to murder numerous people. Don't let her age fool you. She knew what she did was wrong. What you are saying is equivalent of saying that because a child was raped and they ended up raping another child doesn't mean they were in the wrong. It's all they knew. Wrong is wrong.

A 10-year-old Milwaukee boy shot and killed his mother, not in a tragic accident as investigators first believed, but after his mother would not buy him a virtual reality headset. The boy never cried or showed remorse about his mother’s death, his aunt and sister told police.
The two also had learned the boy had logged onto his mother's Amazon account and ordered an Oculus Virtual Reality Headset on Nov. 22, the morning after she died. That same morning, the boy physically attacked his 7-year-old cousin and had to be pulled off the child. “I’m really sorry for what happened. I’m sorry for killing my mom,” the boy said without empathy or compassion, according to his aunt. Six months ago, family told police, the boy filled a balloon with a flammable liquid and set it on fire in the family’s home, causing an explosion that burned furniture and the carpet.
He then asked if his Amazon package had arrived. When the boy was 4, he swung the family's puppy by the tail until it howled in pain. His mother got rid of the dog because she feared it would defend itself and attack the boy.

The home secretary Michael Howard increased their sentence to 15 years but the European court made the UK government revert it to the original sentence.

Some of these cases I didn’t know. I think a lot of these cases were in the 60’s and 70’s before we understood as much about the human personality. Ed Kemper (co-ed) killer was in the brief series on Netflix Mindhunter that showed how the FBI started the behavioral science unit and how to “profile” serial killers. In the show the FBI guys interviewed Ed Kemper (along with other killers such as Charles Manson). He was so matter of fact about his crimes it unnerved the FBI agents. He at least was willing to cooperate with them. The actor portraying Ed was so good. Frightening. I wonder if it’s nature or nurture or a little of both. Are you born that way or made that way…..I think both.

    • @TonyM1961

ALL of it is frightening because it's true and our minds automatically recoil from the thought that anyone around us could be this unhinged. It's terrifying to know that there's a real possibility that the sweet 10 year old boy next door could be hiding something extremely dark inside. All it takes is a slight imbalance of chemicals, a head injury or even just literally being "born that way". While it CAN be nature or nurture, the facts of the cases show that it tends to be a mixture of the two.

I was living in the UK when the James Bulger case broke, and I remember how that video footage of the two boys leading the much smaller one away by the hand from the shopping center was just everywhere. You couldn't turn on the television or read a newspaper without seeing it.
One of those two kids who killed him, Venables, has since been in and out of prison for possession of violent kiddie porn, including even a document described as a "manual" for how to get away with child abuse. I'm pretty sure he's just a bad 'un, one of those people who are just born with something missing, some capacity for empathy and conscience missing in their brains.
I don't know about the other kid, though: Thompson. As far as I know, he's kept out of trouble since being released. Maybe he's like Mary Bell: someone who could be treated and is capable of living a decent life now. Maybe society wouldn't have benefited from keeping him locked up forever for something he did at age 9. I don't know: I just know that I'm very glad that I'm not one of the people responsible for making those calls.

There are many that are very factual and are excellent at showing how the criminal mind can work, and about how law enforcement goes about trying to identify and catch them. Of course, there are others that tend to glorify the awful acts and show little or no care of the victim or their families. I truly enjoy the first kind but actively avoid the second.

....So like what is up with this guy? "Think about the mother"??? Why? Why would any same human being ever, just "think about the mother" of some random kid that was murdered? You literally know absolutely zero of the mother OR the child. In fact, it's literally impossible to "think about the mother" because you don't even know her personality! Don't know whether she will become angry and abusive as a result, will kill herself as a result, become insane and cuddle dolls, cry drastically for a year, cry for 5 days or less and then go back to work, be really happy that it happened because she thought the kid was annoying; not only have you never met, spoken to, or heard a single word about this mother, but in addition to that you literally haven't even heard the like 3 words about her that you would have heard, because you literally didn't even watch the news story! This guy is "feeling disturbed" just because 5 strangers got killed between 1930 and 2002??? Umm you know that the number of people who got murdered in America and UK from 1930-2002 is hundreds of thousands, right???? And knew that before turning on this video where absolutely nothing unique has happened. Every single story was just like, "Yep, they were murdered." Absolutely nothing special about it beside s Columbine, which still was not brutal, gory, or twisted compared to any other murder, and which DOES have absolutely nothing special about it if you're talking about it in 2022 after more then 30 additional school shootings have occured. As though this guy has literally never seen OR HEARD OF THE EXISTENCE OF "the news". like obviously at least 30 people have been murdered, within your metro area, today. That doesn't bother your life but somebody who got murdered before 1930 does regardless of the fact that you literally heard absolutely nothing about it besides "A dude got murdered and the murderer's name and age was X and X." Okay then. Good luck watching a movie or TV show where someone dies (which is LITERALLY ALL OF THEM if you only consider TV shows made since or continuing after 2016 or so, which people his age and younger apparently do for some reason regardless of viewing them via Netflix and similar). Good luck getting a degree of any kind when you apparently have to go home or something just because they mentioned Jack the Ripper in order to debate which legend is the most likely to be true for the purpose of teaching science, debate principles, or philosophy-debate principles. Oh wait I forgot, they don't teach science in honest debating in college anymore.

After the Columbine shooting schools all over here in the states made some changes. Some however got too extreme. Any student that didn’t look “normal” were always accused of potentially committing a shooting. Other students making an accusation without evidence or just to make their lives hell. The school pretty much believing the bullshit story instead of a proper investigation. Being asked if they have a list of potential victims and being suspended until they conclude their investigation and they have no evidence. One case was made into a TV movie where a girl in Oklahoma dressed gothic and had aspirations to become a writer like Stephen King. But one girl however made a false accusation of her and she was taken to the principal’s office with cops there to interrogate her basically and asking her about her “list” and suspending her. And sometime after going back when her favorite teacher was absent cause of an illness the same girl who made the false accusations claimed that she had used some voodoo to poison the teacher and she got a sarcastic response. Yet took it as real and turned her in where the school didn’t again. The gothic girl and her family had enough and sued the school for that crap

Ed Kemper was a very interesting case, as he was the individual that our government chose for the investigation for what makes a serial killer. He was very manipulative & likable. The case of the Menendez Brothers was another interesting case. As, they had been systematically sexually abused by their father since they were small children. That can offer a contributing factor as to what caused their violent personalities. Does not make their actions excusable, though. Trying to rationalize a killer or a serial killer is very rhetorical. It is still a mystery to those who study & work with them. Are they born this way or made this way? Both. There is an issue that can happen at birth other other times.
The amygdala is an almond-shaped structure in the brain that is responsible for emotional and behavioral regulation, particularly the body’s response to fear. Damage to the amygdala can often be caused by stroke, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions. Individuals with amygdala damage may experience various emotional and behavioral effects such as impaired decision-making, hypervigilance, or anxiety, just to name a few. Fortunately, symptoms of amygdala damage can improve with a combination of treatments, including medication and therapy. Psychopathic individuals have been found to have damage to the amygdala. Psychopaths display antisocial personality traits including deceitfulness, impulsivity, recklessness, lack of remorse, and a general failure to conform to social norms. This does not explain everything but one thing that can happen.

To answer in my humble opinion the last question you ask I think like the majority of things in life it is not so simple it's not one of the other it's not nature or nurture it's both. Also even further than that I say that it is dependent upon each individual case there's no blanket answer.

If you haven't seen anything on the Menendez brothers, you need to do a reaction to that. Crazy case. Also, as someone who went to Columbine and grew up in that area, it's a very sad story. They said that those two weren't born like that because Eric Harris was in a very fragile state because he was on a cocktail of prescription drugs for depression I believe. It is a very interesting story all in all though.

The one about Brenda spencer, was from a TV show that aired or airs on investigation discovery, the show is called deadly women. I think with crime drama shows that are based off of fact, the people producing the show are in contact with the victims family some of the times to make sure it is OK with them to produce the episode.

On Nov. 21, 2022, a 10-year-old Milwaukee boy intentionally aimed a gun at his mother, then shot and killed her, because she would not buy him a virtual reality headset, prosecutors said. He will be tried as an adult. Horrific!! They don't behave as though they are human...scary!! I would be hard on them, if it was my decision...minimum of life in prison, and where I live, they still have and use the death penalty. Now I need to go and watch East Idaho News and their Secret Santa videos...right now!! Give them a look.

Though some of this could be genetic, there are those who turned this direction in life because of the home they grew up in. Though guardians may present as caring and loving people, they can easy be the opposite outside the public eye.
Many of the behaviors and ability to connect with others is developed in their first few years of their life.
This isn't to excuse what they have done, but does put a perspective on the why. Many of those who deal with substance abuse are in the similar boat. Only it is trying to escape and avoid the results of a toxic and neglectful upbringing.

The 2015 movie "Black Mass" with Johnny Depp was about him. Then I remembered that this was the evil children reaction video and that James Bulger was the victim's name in the Merseyside case. Poor, sweet boy.

His mother was his last kill and what he did was brutal! If you want to read the details of his case, I suggest eating after.

Children who commit crime, they only spend the number of years until in their 20s. You cannot charge a child as an adult because children does not have the smarts to commit a crime. After that certain age they reach, they are free. I believe now, children under 18 and the degree of the crime, their maturity, etc... will be tried as an adult and could get life in prison without parole. Sometimes, adult criminals use the children to commit a crime with the promise of something once they get out of prison and the children only spend so many years only.

Forgiveness requires repentance. Otherwise, there's nothing to forgive because the offender doesn't think they did anything wrong and won't ask for forgiveness. You can be ready, willing, and even eager to forgive, but if the person won't admit they sinned, there's nothing we can do. Even God needs us to repent to be forgiven.

The families of Dahmer’s victims told the media none of them gave permission to have their loved ones represented in the show. The producers don’t necessarily have to get permission, but all it did was re-traumatize the families and loved ones since the images and video clips were literally everywhere. Idiots in this country even dressed up like him for Halloween. I refuse to watch it. I would obviously feel differently if the families wanted people to see what their loved ones were like in life before that monster got his hands on them showing people they were more than just a number. 9:17

To be fair, you don't think they should make series like Dahmer, yet you willingly clicked on a video about child killers. You even did so expecting to see a specific case. Ask yourself why you shared this. Was it something you wanted to watch? Was it something you thought your viewers might want to see? Was it because it was something chosen solely for the algorithm? It's history. It happened. Some people didn't think movies like Saving Private Ryan or shows like Band of Brothers should display what war was really like because it triggered PTSD in some veterans. But should we water down what it's actually like to be in war?
In the Spencer case, Bob Geldof's band was touring in the U.S. when it happened and he wrote the song "I Don't Like Mondays" the next day after hearing her say
"When asked why she did it, she replied, "I just started shooting, that's it. I just did it for the fun of it. I just don't like Mondays. I just did it because it's a way to cheer the day up. Nobody likes Mondays." It was a commentary on how bizarre it all was. Now, 99% ofthe people who hear it have no idea what it's about and radio stations play it every Monday morning because they think it's just about people lamenting the fact they have to go back to work. Should the families outhouse killed have to listen to this?

There are people who follow these killers on the internet and even write to these awful people . We have a case in the States right now some one killed four room mates at a college in Idaho . 24 hr. news coverage and when they are caught even more . Killers are not idols !
