I'm not saying he didn't do it, but Jon Benet Ramsey's brother may be smiling because he's nervous. I'm in the Army and I've had soldiers that drive me crazy, because when they're in trouble the just keep smiling even though they know consequences are coming. After this had happened several times, and the soldier kept getting in trouble for insubordination I sat him down one day and asked him why he smiled even though he'd get in more trouble. He told me it had been a problem/tick his whole life and that every time he got nervous or angry he would smile. I can't explain it personally. I just know I took that into consideration when dealing with him from then on, because I knew for sure he wasn't lying about that aspect after seeing what happened. Soldiers/people that get consequences after that do not generally continue to keep up a charade very long unless it's an uncontrollable mechanism for them. I don't know if it's a skewed defense mechanism meant to diffuse a situation or what. I've always thought about that. That's just a thought I had while watching this.... In this case I have no clue without being one on one with him.

I always laugh when people yell at me or try to have a serious discussion with me which got me into deep trouble as a child and when I got my first job at McD's when I was 17. I went thru many years of therapy and during that time I figured out how to force myself to go somewhere else in my mind so I wouldn't laugh. I also started doing that when I would find myself in any uncomfortable situation, including dealing with my (then) partner. I'm a self-imposed recluse now and I only leave my home when absolutely necessary because I don't trust myself to stay focused when others try and talk to me. It's hard not to laugh or "zone out" when someone is trying to be serious. Yes, I'm also one of those people who would laugh during a funeral or wedding. My therapist told me it's a defense mechanism that I learned to use from an early age. I call it awkward and embarrassing most times.

    • @marieyumi1
      @marieyumi1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

It's nervous laugher pretty much, I think it's a defense mechanism. Everytime someone tells me really bad news I smile automatically and I hate it, thankfully people around me know me and my ticks lol

First girl got me wondering so I googled her. Apparently she fell off her bike or something when she was like 3. They took her to the Dr, and was sent home. Within a week her personality changed. Getting strong TBI vibes from all of this. She's probably not a psychopath, and will probably need medication and specialized care for the rest of her life if she wants to live a normal life.

Some people have a natural reaction to smile and smile excessively when they are nervous or scared regardless if its appropriate or not at the time. And they have no control over it. Im mot saying this is the case with the brother but its a possibility.

Yeah, there was so much more to that story than we'll ever know. The crime scene was corrupted and the evidence was sketchy. Between the parents, cops, and investigators they all destroyed any chances of it being solved. The things which happened to her doesn’t seem like the actions of a 9 yr. old. It’s a mystery and probably will always be. As far as the smiling he does, I knew someone who would smile or laugh inappropriately during times of stress. I asked that person why and the reply was “I don’t know, I don’t do that because I think anything is funny and not being disrespectful, I just can’t help it”. The commentator of the video is wrong at the beginning. He says Dr Phil is a clinical psychologist, but the truth is he never had a practice. He was a psychologist that helped with communicating to and reading juries in trials. The reason he got famous was because he worked a legal slander case that the beef industry brought against Oprah (he worked on her legal team), and Oprah liked him and brought him on her show, which in turn led to a show of his own. Yes, he's got a PhD in psychology, but he really doesn't know how to treat patients. Like some others said in the comments, he's a TV host first now and brings people on like a dog-and-pony show, parading them around for ratings. Maybe some people actually get treatment through his referrals, but really it's like, 'Look at these crazy people; I'm going to ask them the general questions we all want to know like, why did you do that, what were you feeling, etc., and you can feel better that your life isn't as messed up as these people."
You should look into Dr Phil sketches/impersonations from the comedy shows. It's pretty funny because they always make fun of his "folksy" charm and weird yokel Texas idioms and sayings.

They say, the real mentally ill people that look at the evidence/photos of the crime scene or the dead person, I believe they do that to see if they have guilt and most likely cannot look at the photos if they did not do it. The ones that are guilty and crazy, they do not want them to see the photos (and during the trial), they like to look at the work they did and get off by reliving the murder in their minds. Like the murders who take souvenirs of the person/crime scene so they can relive it later on and/or a trophy of what they done.

On the 2nd one about John Bennet Ramsey you need to know more about the story. The police had tried and convicted the parents when they found about the murder. They refused to even consider to look for anyone else. The D.A.'s office and the police office hated each other and refused to work together. The case was blown so bad. Years later on a show a detective from somewhere beside this town was hired to see what could be found and he did was use DNA and do a DNA profile on the samples taken from the body and while no match was found the trackers strongly suggested Mexican heritage. The family was very rich and had hired a lot of people to come into the home and a large about of illegals were paid. They also had a open house and bragged about the money they had and the huge Christmas bonus the husband got. Lots of people got to know the layout of the house and the child had photos where she was dressed like a adult beauty queen in adult like clothes. Any of these reasons was enough to set some sicko off. Of all of the family the brother was the least of a suspect and he also had his childhood destroyed. This family was blamed 100% and without any proof they because the suspects. Oh it also came out that the DA was jealous of the money the Dad made and some of the police had said they deserved what happened. Envy and jealousy with some hate was why the killer was never or will ever be found.

8:12 he has something in his mind that disconnects those normal feelings knowing how messed up it is to do those so something is actually not wired right. he probably does have no sympathy for what he has done but he is serious that he cannot control those tendencies

Sounds a little like the little girl has magical thinking. but the violence is truly disturbing. I hope they are doing more for her than simply taking her to Dr Phil or letting her battlefield friend/ghost talk to her.
The second child, the boy who molested his sister needs a lot of help immediately. It may be too late. The lack of impulse control is terrifying. And I don't think the only problem nor the worst of his problem is touching his sister, I think the touching of so many other children is really, really concerning.
The smiling can be from nerves.
The last one is the scariest.

Colorado's JonBenet murder, last I heard, through DNA, the father, mother or brother did not murder her. I believe they have someone who confesses but still questioning him. When that murder was originally in the news, I thought it was the brother even though he was I believe only 9 years old. The murder happened either Christmas eve or night. I thought since JonBenet got a lot of her mother's attention due to the little girl's beauty pageants, maybe she might have got more Christmas gifts than her brother (that evening, the house was filled with guests for the Christmas gathering). Not meaning to kill her, but things maybe got out of hand/jealousy. The parents were always accused of doing it or helping to cover it up. They did all the police interviews and lie detector tests.
The problem with the case, once found out the little girl was missing (after the mother found the ransom note on the top of the stairs), they informed the police and neighbors and before the police/investigators can to their work, there were too many people in and out of the house possibly contaminating the evidence. The ransom note was long in length and the police questioned would someone spend the time writing it out after he commented the murder. Also, after the police was there, it was the father (how did he know where to go directly to find her) and friend who found the little girl in the basement. The father carried her upstairs which contaminated the evidence that could have been on the girl. The case has not been completely solved, but unfortunately, the mother (who had the most doubt about her innocence) has already passed away due to cancer. I believe the father's children from his previous marriage were investigated too. They were college age or older. As of this year, the father is still alive, but not in CO.
I have never watched an interview of the brother and this one he is grown up. He did seem a little creepy and I do not know if it was just nerves and uncomfortableness being on TV, getting interviewed so the rest of the world would be watching him for him to smile like that.
It seems like to questions of the guilt of the other children that killed their family members or raped their sister.

Something is wrong with the Jon Bonet case.
So his dad lost another daughter 4 yrs prior, I believe it was.
And the dad also use to date Natalie Holloway mom Natalie came up missing in Aruba at 17 on a trip.
So he also had a party to start his new law firm opening and Glasine Maxwell was in a pic sitting only a few seats from Jon Bonet when someone took a pic.
Something is terribly wrong about all of it.
Burke didn't do whatever was done and I question if she is even dead.. the whole thing stinks of lies.
There's a sacrifice some are willing to pay to get to the top and ppl don't know this underworld exists in the elite world but it does.
Look at Adam Walsh.. long story short, dad John is worth 20 million today..I was a few yrs older then Adam and I lived in a town just down the road from where his head was supposedly found.. something was always wrong about his case as well and us locals knew it. At first we thought it was true and horrific.. but in the years proceeding things didn't make sense and many don't like nor trust Americans Most Wanted host at all..
today he's had his newborn grandchild taken from his daughter because she dared to publicly say that whatever happened to Adam was a lie.

If you knew more about the case you might well think the mother is guilty as well. I'm just saying please don't pre-judge before you are more aware in totality of the JonBenet Ramsey case. I don't know if he he did or not nor really does anyone else and I watched this case as it unfolded.
